Objective To study the influences of chitosan on swimming time, changes of blood glucose and lactic acid in mice. Methods The test groups were given chitosan by oral administration, and eighteen days later, the swimming time, blood glucose and lactic acid were determined. Results The swimming time of test groups was obviously longer than that of the control group. After thirty-minutes swimming, the elimination of blood lactic acid and the recover of blood glucose were distinctly faster than those of the control group. Conclusion Chitosan had anti-fatigue effect on mice.

China Pharmacy 2016;27(12):1613-1615
OBJECTIVE:To explore the effects of levothyroxine on the follicular helper T lymphocyte level of patients with Hashimoto's thyroiditis. METHODS:51 patients with Hashimoto's thyroiditis were selected as levothyroxine group, and another 30 healthy people were control group. Levothyroxine group was orally given 25-50 ug Levothyroxine sodium tablet, once a day,the dose was adjusted based on thyroid function, and the dose maintained when thyroid function turned normal, for continuous 90 d. Free triiodothyronine(FT3),free thyroxine(FT4),thyroid stimulating hormone(TSH)and the percentage of Th17 cells account-ed for peripheral blood CD4+ T cells(Th17/CD4+)in levothyroxine group before and after treatment were observed and compared with control group, the correlation of Th17/CD4+ and thyroid function. RESULTS:After treatment,Th17/CD4+ level in levothyrox-ine group were significantly lower than before and higher than control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). TSH in levothyroxine group were significantly lower than before,FT3 and FT4 were significantly higher than before, the differenc-es were statistically significant(P<0.05);compared with control group, the differences were not statistically significant(P>0.05). Th17/CD4+ showed positive correlation with thyroid function in levothyroxine group. CONCLUSIONS:Levothyroxine can signifi-cantly reduce the Th17/CD4+ and TSH,increase FT3 and FT4,and Th17/CD4+ is involved in the occurrence and progression of Hashimoto's thyroiditis.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 2003;0(09):-
Aim To purify a small platide inhibiting platelet aggregation from Agkistrodon Acutus snake venom, and to identify its physical and chemical properties and its effects on the platelet aggregation stimulated by ADP, collagen, and thrombin. Methods Extract snake venom through Superdex 75 gel filtration, ultrafiltration and DEAE-Sepharose CL-6B ionexchange. The purified product was identified by HPLC C_ 18 . The molecular weight was determined by SDS-polyacrylamid gel electrphoresis. Platelet aggragation was measured by nephelometry. Results The molecular weight of the peptide was 7 862 u and its purified from Agkistrodon Acutus snake venom is oelectric point was pH 4.29. This peptide dose-dependently inhibited the platelet aggregation induced by ADP,collagen, and thrombin. Conclusion The method has been proved to be successful for the purification of low molecular weight peptide fraction that inhibits platelet aggregation.

AIM: To observe the influence of Toufengyu Dropping Pill(Rhizome chuanxiong,Radix angelicae dahuricae, etc) on neuropeptide and vasoactive substances in rat's migraine model. METHODS: Rat's migraine model caused by nitroglycerin were given Toufengyu Dropping Pill and rat's behavior and blood levels of NO,CGRP,ET,TXB_2 and 6-keto-PGF_(1a) were measured. RESULTS: The experimental results showed that Toufengyou Dropping Dill could obviously decrease rat's positive reaction number, the blood levels of NO,CGRP,TXB_2 and 6-keto-PGF_(1a),and increase the blood plasma level of ET,and rectify the imbalance of ET/NO ratio. CONCLUSION: Toufengyou Dropping Pill can affect the contents of neurotransmitter, neuropeptide in rat's migraine, then decrease the algoenic and inflammatory substances, relieve the neurogenic inflammation, and increase the pain threshold value, finally be quite effective for migraine.

Objective To observe the expression of PECAM-1 in colorectal cancer in rat and to explore the mechanism of lymphatic metastasis of tumor. Methods Wistar rats were used to make the animal model of primary colorectal cancer,by using HE staining, the cancer type and progression of cancer were devided.By immunohistochemistry staining, the expression of PECAM-1 in tumor tissue, blood vessels and lymphatic vessels were observed. Results PECAM-1 expression in blood vessels and lymphatic vessels were observed in normal tissue, while its expression on tumor tissue and lymphatic vessels decreased according to the cancer progression. Conclusion PECAM-1 may be involved in the early process of tumor cells adhering to the endothelium;decreased expresson of PECAM-1 on lymphatics may be related with lymphangiogenesis and the opening of endothelial junction of lymphatic vessels.

Chinese Journal of General Surgery 1994;0(05):-
Objective To study the method and significance of preserving anterior thoracic nerve(ATN) and intercostobrachial nerve(ICBN) during breast-conserving operation for breast cancer. Methods A total of 382 cases with breast-conserving operation for breast cancer in recent 5 years were reviewed. In 312 cases the opeeration was performed by preserving ATN and ICBN,and in 70 cases the ATN and ICBN were not preserved. The patients were followed-up postoperatively. Results Among the patients whose operation was performed by preserving ATN and ICBN,skin sensation of armpit and upper arm was normal in 80.4%(251/312) and abnormal in 19.6%(61/312) of patients, but in most of them,it recovered in 2-3 months.Among the patients with out preservation of ATN and ICBN,skin sensation was normal in only 16 cases(22.9%),and had varying degrees of abnormal sensation in 54 cases(77.1%).Conclusions Preservation of ATN and ICBN during breast-conserving surgery for breast cancer is feasible, can decrease the incidence of hypoesthesia of axilla and upper arm and atrophy of pectoralis muscles, and the quality of life of patients after operation is improved.

Objective To investigate the level of mental health and effect of psychological rehabilitation on paraplegic patients. Methods 38 paraplegic patients were randomly divided into control group (n=19) and treatment group (n=19). Both groups received physical therapy and occupational therapy, while the treatment group received psychotherapy in addition, once a week for 3 weeks. Their mental health level was assessed with Self-reporting Inventory. Results The psychological problems occurred was ranked as somatization, anxiety, fear, interpersonal sensitivity, depression and obsession from more to less. The scores of each factor reduced after treatment (P<0.05). Conclusion The paraplegics are in poor mental health condition, so more psychotherapy intervention should be taken to improve their rehabilitation effect and quality of life.

Chinese Journal of Hospital Administration 1996;0(05):-
An analysis of the time pattern of outpatients visits to our hospital from 1997 to 2000 led to the discovery of the variation pattern of each outpatient departments workload. This discovery has enabled the managers of the hospital to rationally deploy the manpower and material resources of various departments, make full use of limited resources, readjust the working hours and shifts of different kinds of staff, and work out a flexible system of working hours which is more scientific and more convenient to patients. Implementation of such a system has ensured that prompt delivery of medical service is accessible to patients even at the peak of visiting hours. Hence the reduction of patients time of waiting and the provision of a scientific guarantee for establishing a quality, efficient, low consumption and fast outpatient service system, meeting the medical needs of patients to the maximum and enhancing work efficiency.
