Objective To investigate the recognition of nurses and patients on chosing daily caregivers and analyze the influencing factors. Method Totally 1,119 nurses and 1,134 patients from five first-class and two second-class hospitals in Zhuhai participated in the survey using self-designed questionnaires from April to June in 2014. Results There were significant differences between nurses and patients in all life nursing projects (P<0.001) except making beds for patients. The top three factors influencing the nurses′recognition were shortage of nursing staff and time, less presence of professional values and feeling no respects. The top three factors influencing the patients′recognition included tending to be nursed by family members, worries about medical expenses, and nurses′being too busy on treatment. Conclusion The different recognitions of nurses and patients on daily caregivers are influenced by multiple factors. Therefore , nursing managers should take some effective strategies to change the concepts of nurses and patients so as to improve quality of nursing service.

Objective To explore the visinin-like protein-1 (VILIP-1) levels in the blood in the Alzheimer disease (AD) and mild cognitive impairment (MCI) due to AD patients, and also to explore its feasibility as a biomarker for the early diagnosis of AD and for the detection of progression of AD.Methods Fifty-eighty participants were included:20 cases for AD group,19 cases for MCI due to AD group,19 cases for normal control group. The level of VILIP-1 was tested by the ELISA method. Results The level of VILIP-1 in AD group was significantly higher than that in normal control group and MCI due to AD group:(9.0 ± 2.9) ng/L vs.(3.3 ± 1.7) and (6.5 ± 3.1) ng/L,and that in MCI due to AD group was significantly higher than that in normal group, there were statistical differences (P < 0.01).The MMSE score in AD group was significantly lower than that in normal group and MCI due to AD group:(15 ± 3) scores vs.(27 ± 2) and (23 ± 2) scores, and that in MCI due to AD group was significantly lower than that in normal group, there were statistical differences (P < 0.01).The level of VILIP-1 was negatively correlated with MMSE score (r =0.463,P < 0.01),but positively correlated with age (r =0.417,P =0.01).Conclusions With the progression of the disease, the cognitive impairment of the AD patient is decreasing.VILIP-1 increased in the blood of the patients of AD and MCI due to AD.It means that the blood VILIP-1 could be a new and potential biomarker for the early diagnosis of AD,and it may be clinical useful for the early diagnosis and effective detection of AD to some extent.

Objective To investigate the relationship between carotid atherosclerotic plaque and multiple risk factors of angiocardiopathy, and to evaluate the injuries caused by different risk factors to subclinical target organ to control the general risk factors of angiocardiopathy. Methods Four hundred and twenty six outpatients and impatients, treated in our hospital from May 2007 to May 2009 with the results of color ultrasonic examination, were divided into carotid atherosclerotic plaque group(284 cases) and no carotid atherosclerotic plaque group( 142 cases). The clinical information including their age, body mass index, smoking condition, past medical history such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus and hyperlipoidemia were recorded, and the levels of total cholesterol(T C),high density lipoprotein cholesterol( HDL-C),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),triglyceride (TG),lipoprotein ( a ) ( LP (a) ),apolipoprotein A - 1 ( Apo A 1 ),apolipoprotein B ( Apo B ),highsensitivity C-reactive protein( hs-CRP),homocysteine ( HCY),microalbuminuria( MAU ) and uricacid(UA) were determined by lab tests. The independent variable and univariable data were processed and analyzed statistically to find out the risk factors of carotid atherosclerotic plaque. Results Age and drinking were significantly correlated with the carotid intima-media wall thickening(IMT) (P < 0.001 ).Overweight, diabetes mellitus, increased LP (a),hyperlipoidemia, age, increased MAU and HCY could independently predict carotid atherosclerosis and plaque formation ( x2 =71.35,38.45,t =3.26,x2 =37.23,t =118.51,6.723 and 3.17respectively,Ps < 0.05 ).The aggregated number of the risk factors was correlated to IMT and carotid atherosclerotic plaque ( P =0.0001 ).Conclusion Age,drinking, overweight, diabetes mellitus, increased LP (a),hyperlipoidemia,MAU and HCY are risk factors of carotid atherosclerosis and plaque formation, and the contribution of each factor can multiply and overlap, more risk factors means greater risk.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2011;28(2):238-242
In order to solve the time-consuming problem in volume CT image reconstruction field, we brought forward a fast reconstructive algorithm method to fit the clinic medicine. First, using the great parallel and Floating-Point power of graphic processing unit (GPU), we proposed a volume CT GPU- based reconstruction method. Second, in order to reduce the repetitive operation, we separated the geometry computation and pixel computation. As a result, the computation efficiency was further improved. At last, based on the background of medical engineering, the parallel of volume CT scan and reconstruction was implemented. The results demonstrated that the volume CT reconstruction time could reduce up to 70 times compared to the previous one in common PC by the fast reconstructive algorithm method.

BACKGROUNDTo sequence, analyze and express the nucleotide sequences of S and M segments of hantavirus strain 84Fli.
METHODSS and M segments of hantavirus 84Fli strain were amplified by RT-PCR, the PCR products were cloned into plasmid pCR2.1-TOPOr. Three clones of each segment which have been sequenced were randomly selected. The coding region of S and M segments were amplified by PCR, and cloned into expressing vector pcDNA3.0. Transient expression of nucleocapsid protein, G1 and G2 glycoproteins in COS7 cells were performed by Lipofectin transfection. The expression of NP, G1 and G2 have been conformed by using immunofluorescence, Western blot and immuno-precipitation methods.
RESULTSThe full length S and M segments cDNA have been amplified and cloned. The S and M segments of hantavirus strain 84Fli contained 1 688 and 3 616 nucleotides respectively.
CONCLUSIONSDeduced amino acid sequences of NP and glycoproteins revealed high homologue to other Hantaan viruses. NP, G1 and G2 proteins of 84Fli can be transiently expressed in COS7 cells.

Objective To investigate the the preventive and management methods of pure-NOTES transanal total mesorectal excision (pure-NOTES TaTME) with postoperative anastomotic complications. Methods Retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 59 cases with low and middle rectal cancer who were underment pure-NOTES TaTME in Linzi District People's Hospital, and discussed the situction of the complications. Results Postoperative anastomotic complications were occurred in 3 cases, anastomotic leakage in 1 case, anastomotic stenosis in 1 case, anastomotic stenosis and leakage in 1 case, accounting for 5.1%.Conclusions For suitable rectal neoplasms patients,pure-NOTES TaTME operation doesn't increase the incidence of anastomotic complication, and it's is safe and feasible.Preoperative preparation, good blood supply,tension-free anastomosis, and correct choice and using of stapler and anastomotic drainage tube are the key to reduce anastomotic complications.
