Military medical equipment develops rapidly in the 10th five-year-plan,but the low utilization rate still widely remains.One of the deep-seated reasons for this problem is the unreasonable element of the establishment system in military medical organization.This paper suggests reforming the military medical organization establishment system boldly,adjusting the existing power of medical service,concentrating the limited manpower & material resource and strengthening the construction of division hospital so as to fully exert the efficiency of medical equipment and improve the ability of medical service support.

AIM: To investigate whether celecoxib,a cyclooxygenase-2(COX-2) inhibitor,potentiates the anti-leukemia activity of STI571 in K562 cells.METHODS: K562 cells were treated with STI571,celecoxib or combination of both at different concentrations in suspension culture.Cell proliferation was documented by MTT assay,and cell apoptosis was determined by flow cytometry and morphology.Meanwhile,RT-PCR was applied to analyze the probable mechanism underlying the effects of the drugs.RESULTS: The combination of STI571 and celecoxib dramatically suppressed the proliferation of K562 cells,in which 0.25 ?mol/L STI571 and 40.0 ?mol/L celecoxib enhanced the inhibiting rate to 76.1%?1.6%.Furthermore,the combining administration of drugs significantly promoted the apoptosis induced by STI571,which showed characteristic changes of morphologic features and increase in sub-G_1 cells.By using RT-PCR technique,the expression of COX-2 had no decline by single administration of celecoxib or STI571.However,a progressive down-regulation was caused by coadministration of two drugs.In contrast with COX-2,the expression of VEGF had no changes at any time.CONCLUSION: The administration of celecoxib alone only inhibits the proliferation of K562 cells.Combination treatment with STI571 and celecoxib promotes the apoptosis induced by STI571.

Objective To investigate the ecological niches of sucking lice (Phthiraptera: Anoplura) on the body surface of small mammal hosts and the co-evolutionary relationship between lice and mammal hosts in Yunnan Province. Method Thirty species of small mammals were captured and used as 30 resource sequences. The distribution and composition of the dominant 22 species of sucking lice on the body surface of the 30 species small mammal hosts were analyzed as the utilization proportion for each resource sequence. The niche breadth and proportional similarity were measured. SPSS 13.0 statistical software was used for analyzing the niche overlap matrix of sucking lice by hierarchical clustering analysis, and a dendrogram was made. Results The niche breadth was narrow for most species of sucking louse. Among the detected species, Hoplopleura pacifica showed the widest niche breadth, but only 0.1536. Indices of niche proportional similarity of most sucking lice were relatively small from 0.0005 to 0.4695. The 22 species of sucking lice were classified into 16 niche overlap groups, by ?=5.5, through a hierarchical clustering analysis for the niche overlaps, and the clustering process of most sucking lice was late. Conclusion The sucking lice have a high specificity for hosts, of which different species show an apparent niche divergence on host selection. The results reveal a high coevolution between sucking lice and the mammal hosts.

Objective To understand the species diversity of ectoparasites on Niviventer confucianus in the surrounding areas of Erhai Lake.Methods Small mammals were randomly captured in 12 investigated sites surrounding Erhai Lake with baited mouse cages.The cage-traps were examined and re-baited each morning.Trapped small mammals were brought to the laboratory for identification according to color, body length, ear length, hind foot length.All ec-toparasites on the surface of the hosts were collected and identified.The constituent ratio(C), prevalence(P) and average ectoparasite abundance(A) were used to evaluate the prevalence and density of ectoparasites.Non-parametric Mann-Whitney U-test was used to test differences in the abundance and richness of ectoparasites between female and male hosts.Spearman correlation analysis was used to analyze the relationship between ectoparasites and the body param-eters of hosts.Results Eighty-nine individuals of N.confucianus were captured, of which 79% were found infested with 51 species of ectoparasites, including 31 species of chigger mites, 13 species of mesostigmatid(gamasid) mites, 4 species of fleas and 3 species of sucking lice.Walchia ewingi Fuller(66.2%), Laelaps turkestanicus Lange(38.5%), Paradoxopsyllus custodies Jordan(42.9% ) and Hoplopleura pacifica(80.1% ) were the most predominant species of chigger mites, gamasid mites, fleas, and sucking lice, respectively.Non-parametric Mann-Whitney U-test showed that there was no significant difference between male and female hosts on the species richness and abundance of total ec-toparasites, chigger mites, sucking lice, fleas or gamasid mites.Spearman correlation analysis showed that the abun-dance and species of total ectoparasites, chigger mites, sucking lice, fleas or gamasid mites were not correlated with the body weight of hosts.Conclusion There is a high speices diversity of ectoparasites on N.confucianus.Sucking lice, fleas, chiggers and gamasid mites are the main ectoparasites.

Objective To establish a quick method to identify BMSC by fast violet B salt staining and evaluate the clinic value. Methods Smears of separated and cultured BMSC, bone marrow, pleural and ascitic fluids were made, then the staining of fast violet B salt was performed. The BMSC in aplastic anemia (AA), high hyperplasia and normal groups were counted and compared with each other. Meanwhile, the diagnostic value of this method to AA was evaluated. Results The cytoplasm of BMSC presented mauve, while the nucleus were negative, other cells such as myelocytes, nucleated erythrocytes, megakaryocytes, monocytes, macrophages, lymphocytes and plasmacytes were negative. The count of BMSC in AA, high hyperplasia and normal group was 1.07 ± 0. 29, 2. 26 ± 0. 37 and 1.58±0. 33, respectively. Significant differences were found between AA and high hyperplasia groups, AA and normal groups, high hyperplasia and normal groups, respectively (P < 0.01). The sensitivity, specificity, positive likelihood ratio and negative likelihood ratio of this method for diagnosis of AA were 90%, 93%, 12. 86 and 0. 11,respectively. Conclusions The fast violet B salt staining is simple and convenient. It could be used to identify BMSC and play an important role in judging the hyperplasia extent and differentiation of AA.

Informed consents were obtained from all their guardians. The enrolled children according to their blood lead levels were assigned into three groups, 13 in Group Ⅰ with blood lead level ≥ 0.48 μmol/L, 20 in Group 2 with lead level ≥ 0.24 μmol/L but ＜ 0.48 μmoL/L and 27 in Group 3 with lead level ＜ 0.24 μmol/L.METHODS: Blood lead level and expression of T cell subgroup were measured with graphite furnace atomic absorption spectroscopy and immunofluorescence methods respectively. Objective To compare the short‐term clinical effects of single segment and two segments of Dynesys dynamic in‐ternal fixation system for treating lumbar degenerative disease .Methods 40 cases of degenerative lumbar disease treated by the Dynesys dynamic fixation system combined with posterior approach decompression from 2009 July to March 2012 were selected and performed the evaluation on the clinical effects by the waist and leg pain visual analogue scale (VAS) ,the Oswestry disability index (ODI) and the orthopaedic spinal association of North America (NASS) index .The imaging method was used to observe the mobili‐ty of operative segment and proximal adjacent segment and the degenerative change of intervertebral height .Results All of the 40 cases were followed up .The VAS score and ODI score at postoperative 3 months and last follow‐up were significantly decreased when compared with the pre‐operative scores (P<0 .05);there was no statistically significant differences in the VAS score and ODI score at 3 months and last follow‐up between the single segment group and the 2‐segment group (P> 0 .05) .The NASS index showed no statistically significant difference in the postoperative effect satisfaction between the two groups (P>0 .05);there was no statistically significant difference in the variation of the intervertebral height between before operation and at the last follow‐up (P>0 .05) .There was statistically significant difference in the motility of proximal adjacent segment at the last follow‐up between the two groups (P<0 .05);but comparing the motility of proximal adjacent segment between the last follow‐up and pre‐operation , only the single segment group showed statistically significant difference (P< 0 .05) .Conclusion The Dynesys dynamic fixation system combined with posterior approach decompression operation has good clinical effect in the treatment of lumbar degenerative disease .Meanwhile ,the single segment method has more significant effect on the motility of proximal adjacent segment than the double segments method .

Leptotrombidium eothenomydis.There was a wide niche overlap between any two chigger species with all indices beyond 0.76.Slight positive association existed between each two dominant species of chigger mites by the coefficient of association(V).Conclusion The community structure of chigger mites on the 7 major species of rodent hosts is complex,reflecting a high diversity of mite species.The niche breadth of the 6 dominant chigger species is different with a wide niche overlap.

OBJECTIVETo analyze the molecular genetic basis for a case of ABw07 phenotype of ABO subtype.

METHODSThe ABO group antigens on red blood cells of the proband were identified by monoclonal antibodies and the ABO antibody in serum was detected by the standard A, B and O cells. The exons 6 and 7 of the ABO gene was amplified by PCR and the PCR product was sequenced directly after enzyme digestion. The amplified product was also cloned by TOPO TA cloning sequencing kit to split the two alleles apart, chosen colonies were sequenced bidirectionally. The samples of the parents and one sister of the proband were collected, then the blood group serological test and sequence analysis for exon 6 to 7 of ABO gene were performed.

RESULTSBoth A and B antigen were detected on red blood cells of the proband and there was anti-B antibody in the serum. There was no 261G deletion. And the 297A/G, 467C/T, 526C/G, 657C/T, 703G/A, 796C/A, 803G/C, 930G/A, 1055G/A and 1096A/G loci were heterozygotes by direct DNA sequencing, which can be assigned for A102Bw07 genotype. After cloning and sequencing, two alleles of A102 and Bw07 were obtained. The Bw07 has one nucleotide change of G to A at nucleotide 1055 compared with B101, which results in an amino acid change from Arg to Gln at nucleotide 352. The Bw07 in the proband was inherited from his mother, and the serological characteristic of the ABO blood group and the sequence of exons 6 and 7 of the mother were the same as that of the proband.

CONCLUSIONThe G to A at nucleotide 1055 of alpha -1, 3 galactosyltransferase gene (B gene) can result in BW7 phenotype, with anti-B antibody in serum.
