Objective To establish the quality control standard for Yi-Li-Kang tablets. Methods Astragalus membranaceus and Herba Epimedh were identified by TLC. The content of Icariin was determined by HPLC. Results The linear range of Icariin was 0.288～2.016 μg. The average recovery was 100.83%, and RSD was 1.82 (n=5). Conclusion The method is simple, accurate and reliable, which can be used to control the quality of Yi-Li-Kang tablets.

Objective To investigate the clinical significance of CD44st expression in non-small cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC).Methods Specific primers for the CD44st gene (Gene Bank NO.FJ216964) which was found in multidrug resistance cells were designed,and reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR),gene sequencing and real-time PCR were used to validate the expression of the CD44st in the tissues and cancer adjacent tissues of 83 NSCLC patients (47 cases of adenocarcinoma,36 cases of squamous carcinoma).The clinicopathologic features were analyzed by statistical analysis method.Results The positive expressive rate of CD44st gene mRNA in NSCLC tissue was 63.9 ％ (53/83) and the negative expressive rate was 36.1％ (30/83),which were more higher than those of cancer adjacent tissues (0/30,0 ％) (P ＜ 0.001).DNA sequencing results showed that the sequence of CD44st mRNA was consistent with the CD44st mRNA found in MCF-7/Adr cells in our previous study.Expression of CD44st was closely associated with pathological pattern,lymphatic metastasis and TNM staging in NSCLC (P ＜ 0.05),but not with tumor size and differentiated degree (P ＞ 0.05).The rates of two years disease progression and stable condition in the group of lower CD44st expression were 45.2 ％ (19/42) and 54.8 ％ (23/42),respectively,and the rates in the group of higher CD44st expression were 68.3 ％ (28/41) and 31.7 ％ (13/41),respectively (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions The expression level of CD44st is closely related to pathological pattern,the lymph node metastasis and the TNM-staging in NSCLC patients,which seriously influences the prognosis of the NSCLC patients.Therefore,the detection and the therapy to this special target may be a beneficial choice for the prognostic prediction of NSCLC.

Objective To investigate the diagnosis,treatment and prognosis of isolated epidural hematoma (EDH) in children.Methods Clinical data of 83 children,45 males and 38 females (at age of 0.7-14 years),with EDH treated between January 2012 and October 2014 were retrospectively reviewed.Slipping and falling were the most commonly causes of injury.While motor-vehicle accident was noted with increased age.In 16 patients lesion of hematoma was frontal,in 28 patients temporal,in 13 patients parietal,in 9 patients occipital and in 17 patients posterior fossa.Results Of the 28 patients treated surgically,the outcome evaluated using the Glasgow Outcome Score (GOS) was good in 22 patients,mild disability in 2,moderate and severe disability in 1 and death in 3 (one died of venous sinus rupture and one large area infarction).Of the 55 patients treated conservatively,the outcome was good in 52 patients,mild disability in 1,and death in 2 (both presented with bilateral cerebral hernia on admission and one of them was unable to breath spontaneously).Conclusions Overall prognosis of the patients with isolated EDH in children is excellent.Complications of venous sinus rupture,foramen magnum hernia and large area cerebral infarction may contribute to poor prognosis.

Objective To investigate the effect of Intedeukin-18 (IL-18) on Th1/Th2 balance and its antitumor mechanism in C57BL/6 mice Lewis lung cancer model. Methods 24 C57BL/6 mice were randomly divided into three equal groups: group A(IL-18 injec-tion group, n = 8), group B (Lewis lung cancer model, n = 8) and group C (normal control group, n = 8). The Lewis lung cancer cells were cultured and implanted subcutaneously into the group A and group B. IL-18 and NS were given to group A and B respectively by intrap-eritoneal injection on the 7th day (once every day, 7 times altogether), but group C was not given any treatment. Enzyme-linked immunosor-bent assay (ELISA) was used to detect the Th1/Th2 cytokines. Health status in all the animals was evaluated; the volume and weight ofsubcutaneous tumors were measured. Results The concentration of IFN-γ in group A and C were significantly higher than those in group B (P <0.05), and the concentration of IL-4 in group A and C were significantly lower than those in group B (P<0.05), but there was no significant difference between group A and C (P>0.05). The tumor growth inhibitory rate was 75%. Conclusion IL-18 can effectively induced IFN-γ and inhibit IL-4 production, regulate Th1/Th2 balance in the C57BL/6 mice Lewis lung cancer model, and elicit the antitu-mor immunity of the host, which could obviously inhibit the growth of tumor cells and decelerate the proliferation of tumor cells.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of radiotherapy combined with concurrent and then adjuvant temozolomide in the patient with glioblastoma.Methods The databases of PubMed,Cochrane library,Medline and OVID were retrieved according to the Cochrane systematical assessment method.The included literatures were performed the quality evaluation and the meta analysis was performed after extracting the data.Results The summary of comparison between temozolomide group and radiotherapy group in the included studies showed that the 12-month overall survival rate[RR 1.22,95 ％ CI(1.01,1.47),P=0.04]and 24-month overall survival rate[RR 2.65,95 ％ CI(1.53,4.40),P＜0.01]had statistically significant differences;the 12-month pregrossion free survival rate[RR 2.59,95 ％CI(1.53,4.40),P=0.000 4] and 24-month pregrossion free survival rate[RR 6.77,95 ％ CI (2.82,16.26),P＜ 0.01] also showed statistically significant difference.The results of adverse reaction events revealed that the hematological toxic reactions in the temozolomide group had statistical difference between the concurrent therapy period and radiotherapy period [RR 3.21,95％CI(1.89,5.46),P＜0.01];which in the temozolomide group had statistical difference between the concurrent period and adjuvant period [RR 0.48,95 ％ CI(0.36,0.65),P＜0.01);but the non-hematological toxic reaction had no statistical difference[RR 1.11,95％CI(0.72,1.70),P=0.64].Conclusion Radiotherapy combined with concurrent and then adjuvant temozolomide therapy improves the overall and progression free survival period in the patient with glioblastoma,the higher occurrence rate of hematologic toxic reactions is correlated with temozolomide treatment drugs.

Objective: This study is to investigate the effectiveness of philtrum repairment for-microform cleft lip, using muscle tension line group reconstruction. Methods: This is a retrospective study of 19 consecutively primary microform cleft lip repairment patients, from January 2015 to December 2017. All the patients were provided muscle tension line reconstruction (group 1) or traditional muscle repairment by horizontal mattress sutures (group 2). The philtral ridge and dimple were evaluated by scores. The statistical analyses were performed using unpaired t-test by Prism 6.0 software. Results: The philtral ridge score was higher in group 1 than group 2 (4.15±0.56 vs. 2.73±0.32, P<0.01). The philtral dimple score of group 1 increased either, when compared with group 2 (2.36±0.50 vs.1.45±0.28, P=0.0004). Conclusions Functional reconstruction of philtrum, using muscle tension line group repair, has satisfactory results in philtral ridge and philtral dimple.

Objective: In clinical, cephalic index is the most common method to evaluate scaphocephaly. However, cephalic index alone is not sufficient to describe the nuances of skull shape. The authors hypothesize that the location of euryon could be a valuable and practical index as the supplement of cephalic index to better describe the skull. Methods: This is a retrospective study. CT scans of 17 scaphocephaly patients and 17 normal controls were included. Eight of 17 scaphocephaly patients have 6 months postoperative CT scan. The preoperative location of euryon of scaphocephaly patients was compared to that of the controls and postoperative. The horizontal location of euryon was defined as the ratio of the distance, from the most prominent point of forehead to euryon, to anteroposterior cranial length. The vertical location of euryon was defined as the ratio of the vertical distance, from the nasion to euryon, to cranial height. Results: Both the horizontal and vertical locations of euryon of preoperative scaphocephaly patients were significantly decreased compared to normals (46.50%±4.02% vs. 50.39%±2.21%, t=3.49, P=0.0014; 35.78%±8.62% vs. 52.6%±8.08%, t=5.86, P<0.001). Both the postoperative horizontal vertical locations of euryon were significantly increased, when compared to preoperative (47.25%±4.23% vs. 44.02%±3.72%, t=2.42, P=0.045; 42.39%±9.06% vs. 35.18%±5.36%, t=2.554, P=0.0379). Conclusions The location of euryon could be a practical and valuable index to describe the nuances of skull shape.

Objective To investigate the inhibitory effect of Xiaoaiping injection (XAP) combined with paclitaxel (PTX) on human ovarian cancer SK-OV-3 cells .Methods In vitro anti-proliferation activity study of XAP combined with PTX on hu-man ovarian cancer SK-OV-3 cells was performed using optical microscope and MTT assay .Human ovarian cancer SK-OV-3 cells were treated with PTX ,XAP ,PTX combined XAP or vehicle control .Each group of cells was treated with drugs for 24 h or 48 h .SK-OV-3 cell morphology was observed with optical microscope .MTT assay was used to detect the A value and cell vi-ability was calculated .In vivo effect of XAP combined with PTX on the growth of SK-OV-3 cells was determined in nude mice . In our study ,thirty-six mice were randomly divided into six groups :G1 (NS) ,G2 (PTX ,10 mg/kg) ,G3 (XAP ,20 ml/kg) , G4 (XAP ,50 ml/kg) ,G5 (PTX 10 mg/kg+XAP 20 ml/kg) and G6 (PTX 10 mg/kg+XAP 50 ml/kg) .Animals were trea-ted for 18 days .Body weight ,tumor volume and tumor inhibition rate were recorded and calculated .The results were analyzed by the SPSS 19 .0 software .Results In vitro study showed that SK-OV-3 cell viability decreased significantly in PTX com-bined XAP group compared to PTX group or XAP group ,in a time and dose-dependent manner .In vivo study showed that the combination of PTX and XAP resulted in decreased tumor weight significantly compared to the control or the PTX alone . Conclusion The combination of XAP and paclitaxel exhibited a synergistic effect both in vitro and in vivo in nude mouse tumor xenograft model .

The emergence of high virulent mutant strains of infectious bursal disease virus(IBDV)becomes a serious threat to the poultry industry.However,the live attenuated IBDV vaccine can potentially revert to a virulent strain.Therefore,it is a necessary to develop safe and effective IB-DV-associated vaccines.The construction of a recombinant Marek's disease(MD)vaccine strain,CVI988,expressing the IBDV VP2 protein,can protect against disease induced by both IBDV and Marek's disease virus(MDV).Here,the IBDV-VP2 gene was integrated into the UL55 locus of CVI988 by bacterial artificial chromosome(BAC)technique,resulting in the recombinant virus CVI988 BAC-VP2.The recombinant virus was characterized by PCR,IFA and subsequently the bi-ological properties of the recombinant virus were investigated.The results showed that the recom-binant virus CVI988 BAC-VP2 was successfully rescued.The VP2 protein stably expressed in chick-en embryo fibroblasts(CEF).The growth kinetics and plague size assays showed that there was comparable replication ability between recombinant virus and parental virus.This study provides the basis for the development of a low-cost vaccine against both IBDV and MDV infections.

OBJECTIVE To analyze the serum chemical composition of rats after intragastric administration of water extract of crude Anemarrhenae Rhizoma-crude Phellodendri Chinensis and salted Anemarrhenae Rhizoma-salted Phellodendri Chinensis based on liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry(LC-MS)technology,predict the effect of salt processing on the treatment of type 2 dia-betes in Anemarrhenae Rhizoma-Pheellodendri Chinensis combined with network pharmacology,and preliminarily verify it through in vitro experiments.METHODS Rats were continuously intragastrically administered with crude Anemarrhenae Rhizoma-crude Phello-dendri Chinensis drug pair and salted Anemarrhenae Rhizoma-salted Phellodendri Chinensis drug pair water extract twice,with an in-terval of 1 h.After 60 min of the last administration,the blood was taken from the abdominal aorta,and the protein was precipitated by methanol.After dissolution,the chromatographic column was Shim-pack GIST C18(4.6 mm×150 mm,5 μm);the mobile phase A was 0.1%formic acid water,and the mobile phase B was 0.1%formic acid-acetonitrile;gradient elution,positive and negative ion full scan mode,mass scan range 100-1 500 m/z.Combined with the secondary spectrum of the database and literature,the blood compo-nents of crude Anemarrhenae Rhizoma-crude Phellodendri Chinensis drug pair and salted Anemarrhenae Rhizoma-salted Phellodendri Chinensis drug pair were analyzed and identified.The disease targets of type 2 diabetes were retrieved,and the protein interaction net-work analysis,GO and KEGG pathway enrichment analysis were performed on the intersection targets of blood components and diseases.The"blood components-targets"network diagram was constructed,and the selected core components and core targets were verified by molecular docking using AutoDock software.In the verification experiment,HepG2 cells were used as the experimental ob-ject,and the insulin resistance model was induced by high insulin and high glucose.CCK8 method was used to test the effect of Rhizo-ma Anemarrhenae-Phellodendri Chinensis on cell proliferation before and after salt processing.Western blot was used to detect the ex-pression of PI3K-AKT signaling pathway-related proteins.RESULTS 15 prototype components and 1 mangiferin metabolic compo-nent were identified in the serum of rats.17 prototype components and 1 mangiferin metabolite were identified in the rat serum of the water extract of Anemarrhenae Rhizoma-Phellodendri Chinensis after salt processing.The contents of mangiferin,berberine and 3-isobutylglutaric acid in the blood components after salt-processing were higher than those in the raw products.According to the results of KEGG and GO,the treatment of type 2 diabetes may be related to the transcriptional regulation of RNA polymerase,inflammatory re-sponse,AGE-RAGE,PI3K-AKT pathway and insulin resistance.Cell experiments showed that the ratio of p-PI3K/PI3K,p-AKT/AKT and GLUT4 protein expression could be up-regulated before and after salt processing,and the effect of salt processing group was better than that of the crude group.CONCLUSION This experiment preliminarily revealed the components of Anemarrhenae Rhizo-ma-Phellodendri Chinensis drug pair entering the blood before and after salt exposure,and suggested that ferulic acid,berberine,ber-berrubine,mangiferin,mTOR,SIRT1,EGFR and PPARA may be the main components and targets of Rhizoma Anemarrhenae-Phel-lodendri Chinensis after salt processing to enhance the therapeutic effect of type 2 diabetes.The mechanism may be to enhance the role of PI3K-AKT and other related signaling pathways,providing an important reference for the pharmacodynamic material basis and clini-cal application of Anemarrhenae Rhizoma-Phellodendri Chinensis before and after salt processing.
