Objective To study the effect of mental intervention on pregnant result in patients undergoing IVF-ET treatment. Methods 206 patients undergoing IVF-ET treatment in the hospital from February 2012 to Jan-uary 2013 were selected and randomly divided into two groups. The experiment group (n=103) was followed by mental intervention after the patients enrolled the IVF-ET treatment, the control group (n=103) enrolled the IVF-ET treatment without mental intervention. Results The HAMA and HAMD quantity grades for anxious and depression of patients in the experiment group were significantly lower than those of control ( <0.01), and the pregnancy rate of experiment group (45.63%) was higher than that of control (30.10%) <0.05. Conclusion Mental intervention for patients undergoing IVF-ET treatment could alleviate their anxiety-depression and improve the pregnancy rate of IVF.

Objective To study the methods of differential diagnosis of focal nodular hyperplasia and hepatic adenoma using multiphasic helical CT.Methods The data triphase helical CT of focal nodular hyperplasia (FNH) in 7 cases and hepatic adenomas in 5 cases proved pathologically were aualysed. The number, morphology, size, central scars and calcifications of lesions were observed, and the CT values of lesions and liver parenchyma on plain scan, arterial phase and portal venous phase were measured respectively. Results In 7 cases of FNH , mulitple lesions were present in one case , single lesion was in other 6 cases , totally 10 lesions in which six lesions were larger than 3 cm and four of the other were smaller than 3 cm in diameter , the central scars were detected in 7 cases . Five cases of hepatic adenoma were single and larger than 3 cm in diameter, no central scars were detected . Both focal nodular hyperplasia and hepatic adenoma no calicification could be seen . The study showed no significant difference between mean density values of focal nodular hyperplasia ( 48.18?7.82 ) HU and hepatic adenoma ( 42.54?2.37 ) HU on plain scan . In aterial phase , CT values were significant higher in focal nodular hyperplasia(124.29?18.69) HU than that in hepatic adenoma(83.29?9.09) HU.In the portal venous phase,no significant difference in values were detected between focal nodular hyperplasia(110.51?22.71) HU and hepatic adenoma(123.75?5.01) HU.Conclusion The differential diagnosis of focal nodular hyperplasia and hepatic adenoma can be done by multiphasic helical CT in combination with the quantitative evaluation of the density of liver lesions.

Objective To investigate the effect of low oxygen tension (7.5% O2) on human embryo development in vitro and outcome of women undergoing IVF-ET. Methods The data of 280 routine IVF cycles with fresh embryo transfer on day3 conducted in the 2nd People's Hospital of Yunnan Province from February 2012 to August 2013 were retrospectively analyzed. Two groups, 7.5%O2 low oxygen tension (n=120) and 20%O2 high oxygen tension (n=160),were setup for early embryo (D1-D3) development in vitro. Results Good quality embryo on day 3 in low oxygen tension group showed morphologically appearance of blastomere mutually clinging to each other,a characteristic of slight compaction. Higher rate of good quality embryo (66.22%V. 47.54%) and of clinical pregnancy (53.33%v. 39.22%) were found in the low oxygen tension group. There were no significantly differences in rates of fertilization, cleavage and embryo utilization respectively between the two groups ( all>0. 05) . Conclusion High quality early stage human embryos can be developed in vitro in low oxygen tension, and may improve clinic outcome of IVF.

Journal of Southern Medical University 2014;34(6):827-831
OBJECTIVETo determine the optimal dosing of streptozotocin (STZ) for establishing lymphoma-bearing diabetic mouse models.
METHODSA total of 200 healthy male Balb/c mice were randomized into 4 groups (n=50) for intraperitoneal injection of a single dose of vehicle solution (control) or 75, 150, or 200 mg/kg STZ. The changes of body weight and blood glucose were observed regularly, and the success rate of modeling, mortality rate, and survival of the mice were recorded after the injections. The mice with successfully induced diabetes received subcutaneous or tail vein injection of A20 lymphoma cells, and the rate of tumorigenesis, mortality rate, and survival time were observed at 1 month and 3 months after tumor cell injection.
RESULTSCompared with the control group, the mice receiving STZ injection at 150 and 200 mg/kg showed significantly decreased body weight and increased blood glucose (P<0.05), while STZ at 75 mg/kg did not produced such obvious changes. STZ injection at 200 mg/kg resulted in a significantly higher mortality rate and shorter survival time than STZ at 150 mg/kg (P<0.05). In the control group and 150 and 200 mg/kg STZ groups, the rate of tumorigenesis or mortality rate showed no significant differences after subcutaneous injection of A20 lymphoma cells (P>0.05), but differed significantly at 3 months after tail vein injection of the tumor cells (P<0.05).
CONCLUSIONIntraperitoneal injection of STZ at 150 mg/kg is associated with a low mortality rate, a high successful modeling rate of diabetes and a long survival time in mice, and is therefore optimal for establishing diabetic mouse models bearing transplanted tumors.
