Objective To retrospectively analyze the results of treatment with Asian proximal femoral nail anti rotation intramedullary nail (PFNA Ⅱ) in senile patients with unstable intertrochanteric femoral fractures. Methods 1 06 cases of unstable intertrochanteric femoral fracture with internal fixation of PFNAⅡ were analyzed retrospectively,and the treatment effect was observed.Results 1 06 cases were followed -up(mean 1 3.5 months, ranged 1 0 -22 months).Bone union occurred in all cases,average fracture healing time was 3.8 months.The average operation time was 48 minutes,the average volume of blood loss was 1 06mL.The hip functions were analyzed using Harrison score.And found 80 excellent cases,1 4 good cases,1 2 fair cases,with 88.7% of excellent and good rate. Conclusion For the senile patients of unstable intertrochanteric femoral fractures,PFNAⅡ has the biomechanical advantages of intramedullary fixation,small trauma,short operation time,reliable internal fixation,early functional exercise,low incidence of complications,significant functional recovery,and is a preferred treatment option.

A canthopanax Senticosus , a vulnerable species, was one of the major government-protected plants. This paper deals with the major reason for wildlife resources from biological standpoints, which are sexual propagation with less capability , vegetative propagation being damaged due to leaves , roots and rhizomes being gathered un-reasonable. Raising wildlife resources, semi-wild extensive management, and reasonable gatheration will be an important means for protection of wildlife resources in light of local conditions.

The origin place change is an almost universal rule for many Chinese medicines according to the formation and change history of ancient and recent Dao-di herbs. Among them, the quality and output are the essence and driving force of the formation and change of Dao-di herbs origin place. More and more species and quantities of Chinese medicine were cultivated along with development of Chinese medicine and modern manufacturing technology, and its production regions far exceed natural location zones, the rationality of origin place change should be based on drug quality evaluation. Under the guidance of the formation mode of Dao-di herbs, characteristics of Dao-di herbs were summarized, its characteristics and applied limits were suggested, some traditional Chinese medicinal materials only with higher output, cultivated materials in distribution area for wild, or materials with poor genetic resources failing to answer with Dao-di herbs. Chinese medicines authenticity should strengthen the study of germplasm and drug quality assessment, the suitability of producing area should be assessed according to output and quality under the guidance of suitable locations regionalization.

BACKGROUND: Micro-arc oxidation, also be known as micro-plasma oxidation or anodic spark deposition, is a new technology that can in situ grow ceramic coating directly on the surface of non-ferrous metals. And the ceramic coating has such characteristics as high corrosion resistance, good wear resistance, etc. It is advantageous to the osseointegration between implant and bone that the ceramic coating is able to produce porous, rough oxide film on the surface layer of the implant, which improves the biological reaction of the bone interface so as to affect the number of bone-forming cells, ype, products of cell, and the expression of the product.OBJECTIVE: To observe the osseointegration between bone and implant, and to analyze induced action of metal trace elements to bone-formation's marker (ALP). METHODS: A computer-based online search was conducted in PUMMED and Chinese Journal Full-text Database with the key words of "micro-arc oxidation, synosteosis, titanium, magnesium" in both English and Chinese between 1995 and 2009. Additionally, hand-made retrieval was performed for articles about micro-arc oxidation and microelement. Among 96 articles, 34 references were excluded due to unrelated and duplicated articles, and 28 ones were excluded due to long-term publication, 34 ones were included in the final analysis.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: It is believed that the surface modification methods on microelement and micro-arc oxidation ceramic coating on Ti-based implant will become the mainstream process to improve the rate of implant-bone integration.However, the clinical application still needs to be further studied.

Objective:To study the expression and clinical significance of microRNA-574-3p (miR-574-3p) in colon cancer.Methods:A total of 106 colon cancer patients who were admitted to the First Hospital of Qinhuangdao and Shijiazhuang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from June 2012 to June 2015 were selected as the research objects. Real-time fluorescent quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) was used to detect the expression level of miR-574-3p in colon cancer tissues and normal adjacent tissues. The relationship between the expression of miR-574-3p and the clinicopathological characteristics and prognosis of patients with colon cancer was analyzed. Immunohistochemical staining was used to detect the relationship between the expression of miR-574-3p and the expression of CyclinA2 or E-cadherin.Results:Compared with normal tissues adjacent to cancer, the expression level of miR-574-3p in 106 cases of colon cancer was significantly lower ( P<0.01). The decreased expression of miR-574-3p was related to tumor diameter, Dukes stage, histological grade and lymph node metastasis (all P<0.05), but not to age and tumor location (all P>0.05). The patients with low expression of miR-574-3p, high Dukes stage and histological grade, and lymph node metastasis had poor survival (all P<0.05). The 5-year overall survival rate of patients with decreased miR-574-3p expression in cancer tissue was significantly lower than that of patients without decreased miR-574-3p expression ( P=0.007 6). Compared with patients with no decreased miR-574-3p expression, patients with decreased miR-574-3p expression had higher CyclinA2 protein integrated optical density (IOD) value and lower E-cadherin protein IOD value in colon cancer tissues (all P<0.05). Conclusions:The decreased expression of miR-574-3p is related to the poor prognosis of colon cancer patients, which may affect tumor recurrence and metastasis by regulating the expression of CyclinA2 and E-cadherin proteins.

The quality of Chinese medicinal materials is related to the environment， with an optimal quality under adversity. The origin of Chinese medicinal materials has converted from wild collection to cultivation， and a better cultivation environment leads to a decline in their quality. At present， there are few effective methods to improve the quality of Chinese medicinal materials. Plants are bound to produce a large amount of reactive oxygen species （ROS） under adversity， and the quality improvement of Chinese medicinal materials under adversity may be achieved through ROS. This paper described the relationship between plant adversity-ROS-secondary metabolism： ROS can alter the structure of proteins （including enzymes） and regulate enzyme activities， thus affecting secondary metabolism to improve the adaptive capacity of plants. Therefore， ROS is the essential cause of adversity changing secondary metabolism. The cells of plants are omnipotent， and the medicinal parts of plants can independently complete the whole process of secondary metabolism， so regulation of secondary metabolism during the processing of fresh Chinese medicinal materials can significantly improve the quality of Chinese medicinal materials. Exogenous ROS can be used as inducible factors to stimulate medicinal parts， inducing a physiological state of fresh medicinal parts similar to that under adversity， thus enhancing secondary metabolism， and improving the contents of active ingredients in Chinese medicinal materials. In addition， the content and ratio of each ingredient in Chinese medicinal materials are closer to those of wild Chinese medicinal materials. The mechanism of plant adaptation to adversity is the mechanism of the quality formation of Chinese medicinal materials， and the application of ROS as inducible factors can provide a new pathway for the production of high-quality Chinese medicinal materials.

OBJECTIVE：To explore the medication rul e of Glycyrrhiza uralensis -containing antitussive prescriptions （GUAP）， and to provide reference for the research and development of new antitussive drugs. METHODS ：The GUAP were collected from 2015 edition of Chinese Pharmacopoeia （part Ⅰ）. The information of prescription name ，composition，flavor and meridian tropism，and functional indications were input into Excel 2018 software to establish the database. The frequency of traditional Chinese medicine （TCM）was analyzed statistically. Cluster analysis was performed for high frequency TCM （frequency≥15）in GUAP by using SPSS Statistics 23.0 software；Apriori algorithm and association rules of SPSS Modeler 18.0 software were used to analyze the drug combination of high-frequency TCM in GUAP （support degree ≥15％，confidence degree ≥70％，lift degree ≥1）. New GUAP was sorted. Totally 60 mice were divided into model group （normal saline ），positive group （Codeine phosphate tablet ， 5 mg/kg），New prescription low-dose ，medium-dose and high-dose groups （1.17，5.83，11.67 g/kg，by extractum ），with 12 mice in each group. They were given relevant medicine intragastricaaly once a day ，for consecutive 7 d. 1 h after last medication ，cough was induced by ammonia in mice for 30 seconds；the latent period of cough and the frequency of cough within 2 min were recorded，and the cough inhibition rate was calculated. RESULTS ：Totally 73 prescriptions involved 194 kinds of TCM ，with 11 ingredients of high-frequency TCM （G. uralensis ，Platycodon grandiflorus ，Semen Armeniacae ，Citrus reticulate ，Ephedra sinica ， Gypsum fibrosum ，Scutellaria baicalensis ，Mentha haplocalyx ，Pinellia ternate ，Poria cocos ，Peucedanum praeruptorum ），which were mainly pungent and mostly belonged to lung meridian. High-frequency TCM could be grouped into 5 categories. There were 7 two-item association rules （such as E. sinica →Semen Armeniacae ，G. fibrosum →Semen Armeniacae ）and 10 three-item association rules （such as G. fibrosum -Semen Armeniacae →E. sinica ，C. reticulate -P. grandiflorus →Semen Armeniacae ）. New GUAP contained G. uralensis ，P. grandiflorus ，Semen Armeniacae ，E. sinica ，C. reticulate ，G. fibrosum （mass ratio 1 ∶ 2 ∶ 2 ∶ 2 ∶ 3 ∶ 4）. Compared with model group ，the latent period of cough was prolonged and the frequency of cough within 2 min was decreased significantly in positive group and new prescription low-dose ，medium-dose and high-dose groups （P＜0.01）. Compared with positive group ，latent period of cough was shortened significantly in new prescription low-dose and medium-dose groups ，while the frequency of cough within 2 min was increased （P＜0.05 or P＜0.01）；but there was no significant difference in latent period of cough， the frequency of cough within 2 min， cough inhibitory rate of new prescription high-dose group （P＞0.05）. CONCLUSIONS：The new antitussive prescription was summarized by analyzing the medication rule of GUAP ，and was verified to have good antitussive effect ，which can provide reference for the development of new antitussive drugs.

ObjectiveTo explore the biological mechanism of drought improving the quality of Rhizoma Atractylodis Chinensis and establish a new method for the production of high-quality medicinal materials. MethodThe fresh roots of Atractylodes chinensis were soaked in 0 （control）， 5%， 10%， and 20% PEG-6000 solutions. The changes in reactive oxygen species （ROS） level， antioxidant enzyme activity， activities of key enzymes in primary metabolism and secondary metabolism， and content of secondary metabolites were compared. ResultCompared with the control group， the treatment with 20% PEG for 2 days elevated the levels of superoxide anion radicals （O2-·）， hydrogen peroxide （H₂O₂）， and malondialdehyde （MDA） by 172.5%， 56.9%， and 14.7%， respectively. The treatment did not change the activity of superoxide dismutase （SOD）， reduced the peroxidase （POD） activity， and increased the catalase （CAT） activity by 10.8%. It increased the activities of 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-CoA reductase （HMGR）， phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase （PEPC）， and acetyl-CoA carboxylase （ACC） by 49.9%， 12.1%， and 19.0%， respectively. Furthermore， the content of atractylodin， β-eudesmol， atractylone， and atractylenolide Ⅱ was increased by 51.0%， 36.9%， 47.1%， and 91.5%， respectively. The simulated drought stress can cause the burst of ROS in the fresh roots of A. chinensis， induce the physiological state of plants under drought， change the antioxidant system， and promote the massive synthesis of secondary metabolites in a short time. ConclusionPEG-6000-simulated drought stress can greatly improve the quality of A. chinensis in cultivation.
