1.Treatment of fresh subtrochanteric fracture combined with old femoral neck fracture with hemiarthoplasty through anterolateral approach.

OBJECTIVETo explore the clinical effects of one-stage hemiarthroplasty in treating fresh subtrochanteric fracture combined with old femoral neck fracture.
METHODSFrom October 2003 to October 2013, 7 patients with fresh subtrochanteric fracture and old femoral neck fracture were treated with hemiarthroplasty in one stage. There were 5 males and 2 females, aged from 69 to 80 years old with an average of 74.5 years. According to the Garden classification, 2 cases were type IV and 5 cases were type V. According to the A0 classification of subtrochanteric fracture, all cases were type A1 (long oblique femoral subtrochanteric fractures). Biological coating long handle femoral prosthesis was used in the patients. The hip joint functions were assessed according to Charnley scoring system after all hemiarthroplasty.
RESULTSSeven patients were followed up from 12 to 24 months with an average of 18 months. There were 1 case with urinary system infection and 1 case with deep venous thrombosis. Of all, 5 cases recovered the walk ability at 6 months after operation and 2 cases could walk with the help of the crutch at 1 year after operation. According to Charnley scoring system to assess the hip joint function, the total Charnley scores reached 15.0±2.5, and 4 cases got an excellent results, 2 good, 1 fair.
CONCLUSIONArthroplasty through anterolateral approach can obtain satisfactory clinical effects in treating fresh subtrochanteric fracture combined with old femoral neck fracture, it has advantages of good joint stability, little pain, less complication, quickly recover, early activities on fields.

2.Relevance of FcgammaRIIIb genotype, IgG G2m(23) factor to the susceptibility of aggressive periodontitis.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the polymorphism of FcgammaRIIIb genotype, IgG G2m(23) factor and their associations with the susceptibility to aggressive periodontitis.
METHODSDNA of white blood cells and serum from 21 aggressive periodontitis patients and 26 healthy controls was extracted. Genotype of FcgammaRIIIb and phenotype of G2m(23) factor was determined by allele-specific PCR and dot immunobinding assay respectively.
RESULTSThe frequency of FcgammaRIIIb-NA1/NA1 genotype in aggressive periodontitis patients was significantly higher than in healthy controls (P < 0.05). The ratio of subjects with FcgammaRIIIb-NA1/NA1 genotype and positive G2m(23) factor was higher in aggressive periodontitis patients (11/21) than in health controls (5/26) (P < 0.05). However, no statistical difference in distribution of G2m(23) factor alone was observed between patients and controls.
CONCLUSIONSThis study indicates that FcgammaRIIIb-NA1/NA1 genotype may be a susceptible genotype to aggressive periodontitis in Chinese population. Subjects with FcgammaRIIIb NA1/NA1 genotype and positive G2m(23) factor may be more susceptible to aggressive periodontitis.

3.Analyse of iodine nutritional status of residents in Shanxi province in 2009

ObjectiveTo investigate the iodine nutritional status of residents in Shanxi province,and to provide a scientific basis for adjustment of control strategies and measures to iodine deficiency disorders (IDD).MethodsIn the 11 cities and 119 counties(cities,districts),except high water iodine townships,9 townships were selected in each county according to their sub-area positions of east,west,south,north and center,4 villages were sampled in each chosen township,and 8 households were selected in each chosen village in every chosen county (cities,districts ) with 9 or more townships.In every chosen county (cities,districts) with 6 to 9 townships,1 township was selected respectively in east,west,south,north and center sub-areas of the township,4 villages were sampled in each chosen township,and 15 households were selected in each chosen village.In the county (cities,districts) with 5 or less townships,all township were selected,4 villages were sampled in each chosen township,and 15 households were selected in each chosen village.Edible salt samples from these households were collected; iodized salt was determined by direct titration.In the 119 counties(cities,districts),1 township was selected,respectively,in east,west,south,north and center sub-areas in each county,and 20 children aged 8 - 10 in each of the selected townships were selected to collect urine samples and urinary iodine was determined by As-Ce catalytic spectrophotometry.Evaluation criteria:median urinary iodine < 100 μg/L was iodine deficiency,100 - 199 μg/L as appropriate,200 - 299 μg/L as more than appropriate,and ≥ 300 μg/L as iodine excess.ResultsMedian iodine of the 34 808 household salt samples was 31.55 mg/kg.The coverage rate of qualified iodized salt was 99.18%(34 521/34 808) and the consumption rate of qualified iodized salt was 97.12%(33 805/ 34 808).In the 11 cities,119 counties(cities,districts),the median of urinary iodine of 11 967 children aged 8 -10 was 244.0 μg/L,of which < 50 μg/L acoounted for 2.6%(312/11 967),50 - 99 μg/L accounted for 6.9%(823/11 967),100- 199 μg/L accounted for 26.3%(3145/11 967),200 - 299 μg/L accounted for 28.7%(3440/11 967),and 300 μg/L or higher accounted for 35.5%(4247/11 967).The medians of urinary iodine in the 9 municipal cities were 200 - 300 μg/L,and other 2 cities were 300 - 400 μg/L At the county level,the medians urinary iodine of children of the 119 counties(cities,districts) were 100 - 199 μg/L that accounted for 15.1%(18/119),200 - 299 μg/L accounted for 63.9%(76/119),and 300 μg/L or higher accounted for 21%(25/119).Conclusions The iodine nutrition level of residents in Shanxi province is more than appropriate.The salt iodine concentration in Shanxi province needs to be reduced,but the space is not wide.

Increasing studies have demonstrated that interferon gamma (IFN-γ),which serves as a critical inflammatory cytokine,is essential to induce the immunosuppressive effects of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs).However,the mechanisms underlying the enhanced immunosuppressive effects of IFN-γ-stimulated MSCs (γMSCs) are not fully understood.MSC-derived rnicrovesicles (MSC-MVs) have been viewed as potential pivotal mediators of the immunosuppressive effects of MSCs.Moreover,microRNAs (miRNAs) are important regulators of immunological processes and can be shuttled from cell to cell by MVs.The aim of our study was to analyze the the miRNA expression signature of MVs derived from γMSCs (γMSC-MVs),which may provide better understanding of the immunosuppressive property of their parent cells.Through miRNA microarray and bioinformatics analysis,we found 62 significantly differentially expressed miRNAs (DEMs) in γMSC-MVs compared with MSC-MVs.And the potential target genes and signaling pathways regulated by DEMs were predicted and analyzed.Interestingly,many DEMs and predicted signaling pathways had been.demonstrated to be involved in immunoregulation.Furthermore,the network between immunoregulation-related pathways and relevant DEMs was constructed.Collectively,our research on the miRNA repertoires of γMSC-MVs not only provides new perspectives into the mechanisms underlying the enhanced immunosuppressive property of γMSCs,but also paves the way to clinical application of these potent organelles in the future.
5.Effect compound decoction on notoginsenosides in Panax notoginseng.

OBJECTIVETo explore the effect of compound decoction on notoginsenosides in Panax notoginseng.
METHODNotoginsenoside R1, Rg1, Re, Rb1 and pH were used as the parameters to investigate the changes on the content of notoginsenosides in different compound extractions by heating for two hours and their correlation with pH.
RESULTWhen the pH values of solution of P. notoginseng with Fructus ligustri, P. notoginseng with Eupolyphaga seu steleophaga, P. notoginseng with Pheretima asiatica, and Zhitangjiang Fang (free of Hirudo) were rept higher than 5.7, the reserved rate (RR) of notoginsenside were higher than 90%; When the pH values of decoetion of P. notoginseng with Salvia miltiorrhiza, P. notoginseng with Paeonia lactiflora, P. notoginseng with Platycodon grandiflorum, P. notoginseng with Arctium lappa were kept 4.5-5.5, their RR of notoginsenside were 60% - 85%; When the pH values of the decotction of P. notoginseng with Hirudo nipponica was decreased to 3.4, its RR of of notoginsenside was 38.4%; When the pH values of Zhitangjiang Fang extraction was regulated by 0.1% NaOH solution to pH 6. 3, and the RR of notoginsenside increased to 97%.
CONCLUSIONThe pH of other Chinese herbal medicines extraction with P. notoginseng compound is a critical effect on the stability and yields of notoginsensides.

6.Chemical study on aerial parts of Ligusticum chuanxiong.

OBJECTIVETo study the chemical constituents of the aerial parts of Liusticum chuanxiong.
METHODThe chemical components were isolated by silica gel and Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography. Structures were elucidated on the basis of physico-chemical properities and spectral data.
RESULTEight chemical constituents were isolated, and identified as protocatechuic acid (1), caffeic acid (2), scopoletin (3), apigenin (4), quercetin (5), cosmosiin (6), kaempferol-3-O-beta-D-glucopyranosid (7) and glucose (8).
CONCLUSIONCompounds 1-8 were obtained from the aerial parts of the plant for the first time, compounds 3-8 were obtained from the plant for the first time.

7. Application and prospect of organoid culture in cancer

At present, the traditional models for cancer research include the 2D cell model, human tumor xenograft model and animal model. With the deepening of research, the traditional tumor model is unable to meet the needs of researchers. Organoid model is derived from the surgical specimens of tumor patients, which can completely preserve the histological and genomic characteristics of tumor. It can be used in the research of tumor pathogenesis, drug screening, personalized treatment of patients, etc. Compared with traditional model, it has the advantages of short modeling time, economic benefits and closer-ness to the characteristics of the original tumor. This paper mainly focuses on the research status of organoid technology in tumor, the application of organoid model in treatment, and the advantages of organoid model compared with traditional model, so as to provide reference for the follow-up research.
9.Genetic Variation of Taenia Pisiformis Collected from Sichuan, China, Based on the Mitochondrial Cytochrome b gene.

Taenia pisiformis is one of the most important parasites of canines and rabbits. T. pisiformis cysticercus (the larval stage) causes severe damage to rabbit breeding, which results in huge economic losses. In this study, the genetic variation of T. pisiformis was determined in Sichuan Province, China. Fragments of the mitochondrial cytochrome b (cytb) (922 bp) gene were amplified in 53 isolates from 8 regions of T. pisiformis. Overall, 12 haplotypes were found in these 53 cytb sequences. Molecular genetic variations showed 98.4% genetic variation derived from intra-region. F(ST) and Nm values suggested that 53 isolates were not genetically differentiated and had low levels of genetic diversity. Neutrality indices of the cytb sequences showed the evolution of T. pisiformis followed a neutral mode. Phylogenetic analysis revealed no correlation between phylogeny and geographic distribution. These findings indicate that 53 isolates of T. pisiformis keep a low genetic variation, which provide useful knowledge for monitoring changes in parasite populations for future control strategies.

10.Effects of herbal cake-separated moxibustion on the expression of erythrocyte CD58 in different ages of healthy people.

OBJECTIVETo observe the efficacy of herbal cake-separated moxibustion on the expression of erythrocyte CD58 in different ages of healthy people and explore the differences of the therapeutic effect in different ages and its mechanism.
METHODSA total of 82 health participants were divided into a young age group and a middle-old age group according to the ages. They were treated with herbal cake-separated moxibustion on Shenque (CV 8), Guanyuan (CV 4), Zusanli (ST 36), Pishu (BL 20), Shenshu (BL 23) with cake made by Shudihuang (Radiz Re hmanniae Preparata), Shanyao (Rhizoma Dioscoreae), Shanzhuyu (Fructus Corni ), etc. The treatment was given for 10 sessions once other day and each acupoint for 3 successive dosages. The mean fluorescence intensities of erythrocyte CD58 were measured by flow cytometry before and after moxibustion.
RESULTSAfter moxibustion, erythrocyte CD58 expression were significantly higher than that before moxibustion in two groups (both P < 0.01), particularly in young age group, which was significantly higher than that in middle-old age group (P < 0.01).
CONCLUSIONThe effect of moxibustion in youth is evidently superior to that in middle-old age. Its mechanism is connected with that moxibustion can enhance the expression of erythrocyte CD58.
