1.Rat mesenchymal stem cells differentiate into neuron-like cells induced by berberine in vitro
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1986;0(01):-
AIM: To investigate whether berberine can ind uce rat mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) to differentiate into neuron -like cells in vitro. METHODS: MSCs were separated from young rat femurs marrow and expanded in culture medium. MSCs were induced to di fferentiate by berberine. The morphological changes of MSCs were evaluated by li g ht microscope.Neuron-spcific enolase (NSE), neurofilament (NF), glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) were detected by immunohistochemistry. RESULTS: Induced by be rberine for 8 hours,MSCs exhibited neurotype . The expression of NSE and NF in the neuron-like cells was positive, but the glial astrocyte marker GFAP didn't express. CONCLUSION: Berberine may induce adult rat MSCs to differe ntiate into neuron-like cells in vitro.

Objective To explore the expression of forkhead box protein 3 (FOXP3) in gastric cancer cells, and its relationship with clinicpathological characteristics and prognosis of gastric cancer patients. Methods The expression profile of FOXP3 in 111 gastric adenocarcinoma tissues and 20 normal gastric mucosa were detected with immunohistochemistry, statistical analysis combined with clinical data of patients with gastric cancer. Results Positive staining of FOXP3 was mainly located in the nucleus of gastric adenocarcinoma cells with the positive rate of 42.3% (47/112).In the normal gastric tissue, the positive rate of FOXP3 was 0% (0/20).There were significant difference (x2 =13.207,P <0.05) when comparison was made between gastric adenocarcinoma and normal gastric tissue groups.Comparison of FOXP3 positive rate between gastric adenocarcinoma patients and its histological subtype (tumor size, depth of invasion, and clinical stage) showed significant difference (P <0.05),but (sex, age, and staging of tumor node metastasis (TNM),lympho node metastasis and differentiation) showed no significant difference (P > 0.05).In the survival analysis, there was no significance in survival rate between the FOXP3 positive group and FOXP3 negative group either (P > 0.05).Conclusions The FOXP3 were expressed in the human gastric cancer specimens. To a certain extent,FOXP3 was involved in the development of gastric adenocarcinoma and related to the degree of malignancy, but is not related to the prognosis of gastric cancer.
3.Variance of Helicobacter Pylori Infection Rate in Children with Recurrent Abdominal Pain
Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2004;0(07):-
Objective To explore the variance of helicobacter pylori(Hp) infection rate in children with recurrent abdominal pain(RAP).Methods By using the()~(13)C-urea breath test(~(13)C-UBT) to detect the status of Hp infection in 1676 children with RAP from 1998 to 2004.Results 1.Total 1676 cases of children with RAP were detected. There were 438 cases showed Hp positive, the positive rate was 26.13%.The infection rates in patients from 2-5,5-10,and 10-14 years of age were 23.66%(84/355),(26.31%)(286/1087),29.06%(68/234),respectively.2.Hp infection rates in children with RAP from 1998 to 2004 were 29.33%(83/283),(28.90%)(76/263),25.76%(51/198),26.01%(56/215),25.81%(48/186),24.45%(67/274),22.18%(57/257),respectively.Conclusion 1.The Hp infection rate in children with RAP increased with age;2.The Hp infection rate in children with RAP decreased year after year.

Objective To study the rationality in the use of proton pump inhibitors (PPI) to stress ulcer(SU) prophylaxis in pa-tients receiving aseptic-contaminative and contaminative incision operation .Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on the use of PPI to SU ,which taken from surgical patients received aseptic-contaminative and contaminative incision operation and hospi-talized from January 2013 to April 2013 .Results Among 1 745 patients in the study ,540(30 .95% ) received a stress ulcer prophy-laxis with PPI .The rate of prophylaxis to ICU ,general surgery ,urology ,thoracic surgery and neurosurgery was higher than other departments(except for between ICU ,thoracic surgery ,neurosurgery and orthopedic) .A total of 232 patients had risk factors , 72 .41% of the patients who received prophylaxis .A total of 1 513 patients did not have risk factors ,24 .59% of the patients who received prophylaxis ,the rate of prophylaxis to general surgery ,thoracic surgery and urology was higher than other departments (except for ICU ,and between thoracic surgery with orthopedics ) .In prevention of SU ,the usage rate of Lansoprazole was higher than that of Omeprazole and Pantoprazole .Preoperative prophylactic usage rate was 14 .44% .Excessive dosage was 0 .93% .Preven-tive medicine treatment longer accounted for 12 .78% .Conclusion The phenomenon such as non-risk factors ,inappropriate of medi-cation time and long course of treatment are existed ,when physicians use the PPI for SU prophylaxis in surgical patients receiving aseptic-contaminative and contaminative incision operation .Therefore ,treatment recommendations for SU prophylaxis are needed to restrict PPI use for justified indications .

Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2003;0(02):-
Institute for International Medical Education(IIME) develops the concept of global minimum essential requirements,in which the knowledge and skills of"group health"are ranked as the important parts of training the qualified medical students. But in China, the medi-cal colleges almost run the schools according to the traditional teaching system. Whether teach-ing the knowledge of group health is consistent with the current personnel training requirements deserves our attention. Based on the investigation of teaching status about the medical students "group health"knowledge, the author finds the problems in the field of education with regard to the knowledge and skills and puts forward specific measures to improve it.

Chinese Medical Ethics 1994;0(06):-
Based on their multiple years of personal experiences in hospital administration, authors of this article point out that medical service, humanistic service, and emotional service should be the core aspects in the current hospital competition.Medical professionalism embodied in the three levels of consciousness, behaviors, and regulations should be the main subject in the research on the role of medical ethics in hospital administration and medical treatment behaviors. It is an urgent ethical requirement and the chief task for hospital administrators to achieve humanistic medical service through humanistic administration of hospitals.

Salsola collina is widely distributed in droughty and semi-droughty area, which is used as a kind of folk remedy in traditional Chinese medicine for treatment of hypertension. The study is on the chemical constituents of this herb from its aerial parts to obtain its active constituents. Dried and crushed aerial parts of this herb were extracted three times with 95% EtOH at reflux. The ethanol extracts were combined and concentrated under reduced pressure at 70 ℃ to yield residue, which was suspended in water and successively partitioned with light petroleum, chloroform and n-butanol. The chloroform and n-butanol fractions were treated by various chromatographic techniques, such as silica gel, C18 reversed-phase silica gel and macroporous resin column chromatography. Compounds were elucidated by their physicochemical properties and spectroscopic analysis. In the course of our study on searching biological active components from this herb, a new alkaloid together with three known alkaloids were isolated and identified as N-transferuloyl-3-methyldopamine (1), 3-[4-(β-D-glucopyranosyloxy)-3- methoxyphenyl]-N-[2-(4-hydroxyl-3-methoxyphenyl)ethyl]-2-propenamide (2), salsoline A (3), salsoline B (4). Compound 4 is a new compound and named as salsoline B, while compound 2 was obtained in Salsola collina for the first time.
