Objective:To observe the efficacy and safety of Qingpeng ointment in the prevention and treatment of chemotherapeutic phlebitis. Methods:Totally 72 patients with non-small cell lung cancer undergoing chemotherapy after pneumonectomy were randomly divided into control and observation groups. The control group was treated with the conventional therapy to prevent phlebitis, and on the basis of conrentional therapy the observation group was treated with Qingpeng ointment at the injection site and along with the vein be-fore the chemotherapy, at the beginning of the chemotherapy, during the chemotherapy and after the chemotherapy in the same day and on the next day. The treatment course was 3 days. The incidence of phlebitis, hierarchical cases, VAS score and pain duration between the groups were compared, and the adverse drug reactions were observed. Results:The pain degree and duration induced by phlebitis showed no significant differences between the groups(P>0. 05), while the pain degree and duration in the observation group were de-creased when compared with those in the control group. The incidence of phlebitis in the observation group was obviously lower than that in the control group with statistically significant difference (P <0. 05). No adverse reactions were found with the external use of Qingpeng ointment. Conclusion:Qingpeng ointment has certain efficacy with high safety in the prevention of tumor-chemotherapeutic phlebitis, which can improve patients’ compliance, and is worthy of promoted application in clinics.

AIM: To investigate the effect of non-mitogenic human acidic fibroblast growth factor(nm-haFGF) on renal ischemia-reperfusion injury in rats.METHODS: Rat renal ischemia-reperfusion(I/R) injury was produced by removing the left kidney and subsequently clamping the right renal artery for 60 min followed by reperfusion for 24 h.5 min after reperfusion, different doses of nm-haFGF and haFGF(as positive control) were injected by lingual vein.24 h later, the samples of blood, urine and kidney were collected and the contents of malondialdehyde(MDA),blood urea nitrogen(BUN),creatinine(Cr) and superoxide dismutase(SOD) activity were detected.Histopathological changes were also observed.RESULTS: In the serum,SOD activity of all the nm-haFGF groups and the haFGF group increased significantly while the content of MDA decreased dramatically compared with the model group; The content of BUN and Cr also decreased wherever in serum or in urine; In renal tissue,SOD activity in nm-haFGF 20 ?g/kg group,40 ?g/kg group and haFGF group rose significantly compared with the model group, while MDA decreased dramatically.Histological examination showed that nm-haFGF markedly attenuates the renal edema, brush border's defluvium and cell necrosis induced by ischemia-reperfusion.CONCLUSION: nm-haFDF could resist the renal injury induced by ischemia-reperfusion in rats.

Objective To study the anti-tumor effects of griseofulvin on human prostate cancer PC-3 cells both in vitro and in vivo. Methods PC-3 cells were treated with griseofulvin at various concentrations for48 h,cell survival rate was then measured by MTT assay. The changes of morphology were observed by fluorescence microscope; Annexin V-FITC apoptosis detection kit was used to detect apoptosis of the cells ; The enzyme activity changes of caspase-3,8,9 were detected by spectrophotometry. For in vivo study,we first established the PC-3 tumor model by grafting PC-3 cells in athymic nude mice, and then injected griseofulvin into the tumors.12 days after injection, the mice were sacrificed, the tumors were removed, weighed and the ratios of tumor-suppression were then calculated. We had detected the expressions of Bcl-2,Bax,p53 and Survivin with immumohistochemistry as well. Results MTT results showed that griseofulvin could significantly inhibit the proliferation of PC-3 cells in vitro in a dose-dependent manner, and the IC50 of griseofulvin was 18.17 ±2.10 μg/ml.Typical morphological changes of PC-3 cells were observed by microscope. The rates of apoptosis of griseofulvin treated PC-3 cells greatly increased compared with that of the control cells (31.37 ± 2.93% vs 2.89 ± 0.67%,P < 0.01 ).The caspase-3,caspase-8 and caspase-9 activities in griseofulvin treated PC-3 cells were significantly higher than those in control cells (0.562 ±0.050 vs0.113±0.014,0.337±0.053 vs 0.120±0.017,0.293±0.038 vs0.109±0.018,P<0.01).On the 23th day after tumor vaccination, the tumor volume was 961.17 ± 78.12 mm3 in griseofulvin treated group and was 433.6 ± 12.8 mm3 in control group (P < 0.01 ).The tumor weight was 742.50 ± 78.63 mg in griseofulvin treated group and was 1387.33 ± 71.47 mg3 in control group ( P < 0.01 ).Bcl-2,Bax,p53 and Survivin protein expressions were 16.10 ± 3.45%,39.50 ± 6.88%,48.20 ± 8.04%,16.50 ± 2.22% in griseofulvin treated group, respectively; 41.30 ± 3.95%,13.70 ± 2.98%,17.60 ± 3.21%,52.11 ± 6.28% in control group, respectively. And there were significant differences in both groups (P < 0.01 ).The in vivo data showed that griseofulvin suppressed the tumor growth conspicuously through down-regulating the expression of Bcl-2,Survivin,and up-regulating the expression of Bax,p53. Conclusions Griseofulvin can inhibit the growth of PC-3 and induce apoptosis of PC-3 cells.Griseofulvin inhibits the in vivo tumorigenicity of PC-3 cells.

Objective To analyze the distribution and drug resistance rate of methicillin-resisitant Staphylococcus aureus(MRSA) and methicillin-susceptible Staphylococcus aureus(MSSA) isolated from different departments in a certain primary hospital during 2009 to 2012,and to provide scientific evidences for clinical application of antibiotics. Methods Pathogens and bacterial resistance to antibiotics were identified using the VITEK 2 compact equipment. The data were got from WHONTES.5 and analyzed by SPSS 13.0.Results There were 517 Staphylococcus aureus strains were detected(MRSA 135 strains,MSSA 382 strains). The rate of MRSA was 24.5%,27.7%,24.8%,27.0% during the four years.MRSA was mainly found in the department of oncology, orthopaedicsand ICU.MRSA was mainly isolated from pus, secretion, sputum and blood. The 517 Staphylococcus aureus strains showed high sensitive to vancomycin, linezolid and teicoplanin, the sensitive rate was 100%.Conclusion Establishing a more comprehensive MDRO monitoring and hospital infection control system in the primary hospital, and rational using antibacterial drugs at the based of the antibiotics susceptibility test in the treatment can be effective in preventing MRSA resistance rates increasing and hospital-borne.

China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2015;40(3):404-409
In order to investigate the genetic basis of morphological variation of tetraploid plantlets of Atractylodes macrocephala, diploid plantlets were taken as experimental material, sterile filtration colchicine was used to soak 0.5-1.0 cm long buds. The difference between morphology and stomatal of diploid and tetraploid of A. macrocephala was compared, and genome polymorphism was explored by AFLP. The results showed that the buds dipped in 0.1% colchicine solution for 36 h was optimal conditions to induce tetraploid of A. macrocephala with induction rate of 32.0%. Morphological indexes such as leaf area index, leaf length and width, the density of stomas and the number of chloroplast of tetraploid were distinctly different from diploid. Four hundred and fifty-one bands ranging with 80-500 bp were amplified with 24 pairs of primers, the rate of polymorphism was 32.59%. These amplification sites of diploid were different from tetraploid of A. macrocephala, and the differences in morphology of them were reflected in the DNA polymorphism.
