Objective To investigate the variation of corticotropin-releasing hormone(CRH)in plasma, the mRNA and protein expression of c-Fos and gap junction gene connexin-43(Cx43)in the myometrium of term pregnancy women, and to study the correlations among CRH,Cx43 and c-Fos at onset of labor. Methods 30 cases in labor(L group),30 cases not in labor(NL group)but in term pregnancy, and 30 cases of non-pregnant(NP group)women undergoing hysterectomy due to cervical intraepithelial neoplasia were recruited into this clinical study.Radioimmunoassay was employed to measure the concentration of CRH in plasma;in situ hybridization assay and streptravidin-biotin peroxidase(SP) immunohistoehemical techniques were respectively used to detect the expression levels of c-Fos mRNA,Cx43 mRNA and the corresponding proteins.Results(1)The concentration of CRH in L group(81.8?11.9) pmol/L was significantly higher than that in NL group(34.5?18.6)pmol/L(P

Objective To evaluate the clinical value of co-observation of the expression of MAGE-A3 gene and MDR1 gene on esti-mating the curative effect in non M3-subtype acute leukemia. Methods Expressions of MAGE-A3 and MDRI were measured in 77 patients with non M3-subtype acute leukemia by RT-PCR method. Clinical observation was done to estimate the relationship between the genes with curative effect in non M3-subtype acute leukemia. Results Expression of MAGE-A3 and MDRI gene were 50. 6% and 23. 3% in non M3-subtype acute leukemia patients. Positive expression of MDRI in MAGE-A3-positive and negative patients were 46. 2% and 13. 2% (P < 0.01). The complete remission rate in MAGE-A3 negative and positive patients were 86. 8% and 64. I% (P <0. 05). Complete remission (CR) rate in MDR1 negative and positive patients was 83.3% and 56. 5% (P <0. 05). Complete remission rate were 87.9% and 55.6% in beth negative and both positive expression of MAGE-A3 and MDR1 (P < 0. 05). Conclusion The patients of positive expression of MAGE-A3 in non M3-subtype AL had higher expression of MDR1. The patients with negative expression of beth MAGE-A3 and MDR1 had higher CR rate than that in both positive patients. These researches indicated that eo-observatian of the expression of MAGE-A3 and MDR1 can predict the curative effect in non M3-subtype AL.

Chinese Journal of Applied Physiology 2014;30(6):502-505
As human beings ascend to high altitude, a number of reactions may occur against hypoxic injuries. These hypoxic responses are related to intake, transportation and utility of the oxygen. As a crucial subcellular organelle of oxygen utility, mitochondrion is a central link of high altitude acclimatization, adaptation and mountain sicknesses. In this review, we discussed the recent advances in researches on hypoxic mitochondrial responses at high altitude.

Objective To determine the effectivity of 5-azacytidine(5-Aza) inducing the cardiomyogenic SCs were isolated and purified from Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats. Some BMSCs were induced with 5-Aza,group Ⅰ was not induced with 5-Aza and the third generation of cells were used for the next experiment; group Ⅱ were cultured and induced with 5-Aza( 10 μmol/L) at the third day of the culture for 24 h; group Ⅲ were induced with 5-Aza( 10 μmol/L) for 24 h when the third generation of cell were fused; group Ⅳ were induced with 5-Aza( 10 μmol/L) for 24h at the third day of primary cuhure, which were induced with 5-Aza( 10 μmol/L) for 24 h before the third gener-phosis was found in the BMSCs among groups. CD34 was negatively expressed and CD29 and CD44 were positively gle 5-Aza inducing group(group Ⅲ ) was much higher than that in no 5-Aza inducing group( group Ⅰ ) [ MHC : (6. 82±2.05 ) % vs (3.61±1.14) % ], cTnI: (5.63±1.86) % vs (2.76±0.82) %, P < 0.05 ], but was significantly lower than the percentage in the double 5-Aza inducing group ( group Ⅳ ) [ MHC : ( 12.18±3.16) % vs ( 6.82±2. 05)% ] ,cTni:(9.93±2.79)% vs(5.63±1.86)% ,P<0.05]. Conclusions 5-Aza could promote the cardio-myogenic differentiation of BMSCs in a "Cardiac-like" Milieu. 5-Aza double induing is better than the single indu-cing.

Objective To study the effect and mechanism of strengthening the spleen and tonifying the kidney on the function and apoptosis of kidney in rats. Methods The 42 male SD rats were randomly divided into quiet control group, exhausted exercise group and strengthening the spleen and tonifying the kidney group.Twenty four hours after exhaustive exercise, the concentrations of blood urea nitrogen(BUN),serum creatinine and urinary protein were determined. The apoptosis in kidneys of rats was detected by TUNEL.The structure of kidney was observed in the HE stain. Results Comparing with the exhausted exercise group, the concen- trations of BUN,serum creatinine and apoptotic index were lower significantly(P

Objective To evaluate the differences of the lower extremity atherosclerosis between patients with and without type 2 diabetes using dual-source CT angiography. Methods Dual-source CT angiography of lower extremity was performed in 87 patients with (n=30)or without (n= 57 )diabetes.Extent of luminal stenosis, and the type, distribution and range of the plaques were compared. Results 342 plaques in 540 segments (63.3%)in diabetic patients, and 500 plaques in 1 026 segments (48.7%)in non-diabetic ones were detected respectively.Compared with non-diabetic patients, the diabetic ones had a higher overall incidence of plaques (P <0.05).Calcified plaques were the most common in both kinds of patients, and the incidence of mixed plaques was high-er in diabetic patients than that in non-diabetic ones (35.6 % vs.28.4%,P <0.05).Light to moderate stenosis occurred in most diabetic patients, and fewer occlusion was found compared with non-diabetic ones (9.1% vs.1 7.0%,P <0.05).The most common sites of the plaques in diabetic patients were located at distal small arteries below the knee. However, those were located at proximal arteries above the knee for non-diabetic ones. The involvement of atherosclerosis in diabetic patients was more diffused, and the de-gree of Ⅳ (75%-100%)was higher than that in non-diabetic ones (P <0.05).Conclusion Atherosclerosis in lower extremity on dual-source CT angiography is very common in diabetic patients with multi-segmental,diffused,non-obstructive involvement of dis-tal small arteries below the knee.
