Objective To analyze the advantages of combined analysis of allergen skin prick test(SPT)and phadiatop/specific IgE antibody on the allergen diagnosis in asthmatic children.Methods Inhalant allergen SPT and Phadiatop test were done in 57 asthmatic children.Thirty-three cases of those asthmatic children were measured serum specific IgE antibody against dermatophagoids pteronyssinus.Results Dermatophagoids,molds and pets were the main inhalant allengens in asthmatic children.The positive rates of SPT and Pha-(diatop) in 57 asthmatic children were 86% and 79%,respectively,and the consistence rate between SPT and Phadiatop was 86%.Five cases with negative Phadiatop were confirmed to have molds allergy via SPT and molds specific IgE test.The consistence rate of dermatophagoids pteronyssinus SPT and specific IgE was 97%.Conclusion It is helped to improve the sensitivity and specificity of allergen diagnosis in asthmatic children when doctors combined analyze the results of allergen skin prick test and specific IgE test.

Objective To investigate the preventive effect of probiotics on pediatric food allergy.
Methods From MEDLINE bibliographical database, we searched and reviewed all randomized controlled trials on the preventive effects of probiotics on pediatric food allergies up to September 2013 and excluded the studies that do not meet inclusion criteria and extracted the data. Meta-analysis for the results of homogenous studies was performed using RevMan 5.0 and the co-effect was pooled by using fixed-effects model of relative risk (RR) ratios.
Results Ten trials published between 2007 and 2012 including 2701 cases were included. Meta-analysis based on included data showed that the preventive effect of prenatal and postnatal probiotic supplementation on food allergies was not significant with the RR=0.88 (95%CI:0.76-1.03).
Conclusion Present evidences cannot show in unequivocal terms that prenatal and postnatal probiotic supplementation will prevent food allergic diseases.

Objective To explore the related risk factors of cerebral hemorrhage complicated with stress ulcer (SU). Methods The clinical data of 1 185 patients with cerebral hemorrhage admitted to Department of Emergency Medicine of Nanjing General Hospital from March 2006 to March 2014 were retrospectively analyzed. Patients were divided into two groups according to whether patients complicated with SU or not. Data was collected within 8 hours after admission in two groups including gender,age,amount of bleeding,the bleeding site (basal ganglia,thalamus, brainstem,brain lobe,ventricle,subarachnoid,and cerebellum),disturbance of consciousness,acute physiology and chronic health evaluationⅡ(APACHEⅡ)score,systolic blood pressure(SBP),history of hypertension,and history of cerebral hemorrhage. The statistically significant risk factors found using univariate analysis was selected and was analyzed to find independent risk factors with multivariate logistic regression analysis. The receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC curve)was plotted to analyze the independent risk factors and evaluate their power of test. Results 1 185 patients with cerebral hemorrhage were enrolled in the study,293 cases occurred SU,accounting for 24.7%,and 892 cases without SU,which accounted for 75.3%. As shown by univariate analysis,risk factors for cerebral hemorrhage complicated with SU included age,amount of bleeding,the bleeding site,disturbance of consciousness,APACHEⅡscore,SBP. As to the site of bleeding,brain,thalamus,brainstem hemorrhage complicated with SU were higher proportion,45.3%(43/95),39.1%(63/161),36.9%(48/130),which were significantly higher than those of the lobes of the brain 〔26.2% (33/126)〕,cerebellum 〔18.8% (15/80)〕,basal ganglia〔16.1%(78/485)〕,arachnoid the inferior vena cava 〔12.0% (13/108)〕. Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that amount of bleeding 〔odds ratio (OR)=3.305,P=0.001,95%confidence interval (95%CI)2.213-48.634〕,the bleeding site (OR=1.762,P=0.008,95%CI 0.123-2.743),SBP (OR=1.223,P=0.034,95%CI 0.245-2.812) were independent risk factors of cerebral hemorrhage complicated with SU. The area under the ROC curve (AUC)of amount of bleeding and SBP were 0.846 and 0.597,suggesting that amount of bleeding has moderate diagnostic value and SBP has low diagnostic value. Conclusions Cerebral hemorrhage patients with large amount of bleeding,the bleeding site in the ventricle,thalamus or brainstem,high SBP are of great risk. We should lower blood pressure and give preventive treatment for SU as soon as possible.

In this study, the human umbilical vein endothelial cell model was used to study the regulating effect of lipophilic components in Salvia miltiorrhiza on angiogenesis, and explore its possible mechanism. The cell model was established to determine the effect of lipophilic components in S. miltiorrhiza on the proliferative activity and migration capacity of endothelial cells. Then the realtime fluorescence quantification PCR technology was applied to detect the changes in the gene expressions of angiogenesis-related cytokines VEGF-A, VEGF-C and MMP-9. The results showed that 5 mg x L(-1) lipophilic components in S. miltiorrhiza could inhibit the proliferation and migration of endothelial cells, and reduce the expression of VEGF-A and MMP-9 genes. It indicated that lipophilic components in S. miltiorrhiza may inhibit the proliferation and migration of endothelial cells by inhibiting the expression of VEGF-A and MMP-9 genes, so as to show the inhibitory effect on angiogenesis.

The data mining technique is adopted to analyze characteristics and rules of acupoint and meridian selection of acupuncture-moxibustion for treatment of vertigo at different time periods in the ancient. The data is collected from literature regarding acupuncture-moxibustion from the pre-Qin period to the end of Qing Dynasty, so as to establish a clinical literature database of ancient acupuncture-moxibustion for treatment of vertigo. Data mining method is applied to analyze the commonly used meridians, acupoints and special acupoints in different dynasties, also possible rules are explored. Totally 82 pieces of prescription of acupuncture-moxibustion for treatment of vertigo are included. In the history the leading selection of acupoitns are Fengchi (GB 20), Hegu (LI 4), Shangxing (GV 23) and Jiexi (ST 41) while that of meridians are mainly three yang meridians of foot and the Governor Vessel, especially the acupoints on the Bladder Meridian of foot yangming had the highest utilization rate, accounting for 23.04%. The acupoint selection is characterized by special acupoint, accounting for 80.6%, among which the crossing points are the most common choice. Distal-proximal acupoints combination is the most frequent method. The results indicate that the ancient acupuncture-moxibustion for treatment of vertigo focused on acupoints in the yang meridians, and the specific acupoints play an essential role in prescription; also the principle of syndrome differentiation and selecting acupoints along the meridians could be seen.

Objective To investigate the role of health education in the rehabilitation ofschizophrenia patients during recovery period. Methods 60 schizophrenia patients were randomly dividedinto two groups, with 30 eases in the observation group and 30 cases in the control group. All the patientshad accepted the treatment of pharmaceuticals before they entered the respective group and had a stablestatus of disease. The patients in the observation group were given health education while the patients in thecontrol group only given general instruction on sanitation issues. The study lasted 12 woeks. And eachevaluation was conducted at the time of entering the groups, and at 4, 8 and 12 weeks after having enteredthe groups, with The Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale (BPRS) and the Nurses' Observation Scale for InpatientEvaluation (NOSIE). Results The BPRS scores for the observation group at the end of 8 weeks and of 12weeks are significantly lower than those of the control group. The NOSIE scores for the observation group atthe end of 4 weeks showed that the patients' interest to society, personal hygiene, factors of mental diseasesand etc. had significant differences compared to those of the patients in the control group. At the end of the8th week, the scores for the rest factors between the two groups had a significant difference. ConclusionsHealth education can improve the treatment effectiveness in the rehabilitation of schizophrenia patients duringrecovery period.

Lactobacillus casei was selected as an antigen delivery vehicle for the development of oral vaccine to express recombinant LTB and porcine parvovirus (PPV) VP2 protein. The fusion protein gene encoding PPV VP2 protein and LTB, was cloned into the surface expression vector pPG, and then the recombinant expression vector pPG-VP2-LTB was electrotransformed into Lactobacillus casei 393, generating recombinant strain pPG-VP2-LTB/L. casei 393. After induced by 2% Lactose in MRS broth, an about 78 kD protein was detected in the recombinant Lactobacillus casei by SDS-PAGE. The result of Western blot indicated that the protein possessed the antigenic specificity same as the native virus protein. The result of the whole bacteria cell ELISA indicated that the LTB protein was expressed at the same time. The results of indirect immunofluorescence test and immuno-gold electron microscopy showed that the interest protein was expressed on the surface of L. casei 393. The results provide potential for the development of lactic acid bacteria oral vaccine of PPV, which used LTB as mucosal adjuvant.

Objectives:To evaluate the use of needle catheter jejunostomy for early enteral nutrition in liver transplant recipients . Methods:Five liver transplant recipients who had indication were performed with needle catheter jejunostomy before abdominal wall closure.The Flocare jejunokath was inserted on the small bowel at the point 20 cm distal to the ligament of Treitz,continued to go ahead in the wall of the bowel for a distance of about 4～5 cm,and then pierced into bowel lumen.Enteral nutrition was given through jejunostic tube at postoperative 1st day. Results:The time for placing needle catheter jejunostomy during operation was (9.2?2.3)min.The jejunostic tube was used well and pulled out from 14 to 46 days after operation.One patient occurred with jejunostic tube obstruction, and the tube was reused after treatment.No other complication occurred associated with needle catheter jejunostomy. Conclusions:Needle catheter jejunostomy may become the preferable method for early enteral nutrition in indicated liver transplant recipients.
