Chinese Journal of Medical Instrumentation 2002;26(1):20-22
In this paper, two new concepts of DR (Dose Repulsion) and DG (Dose Gravitation) are presented with their calculation formulas. For the problem of selecting beam arcs in x-knife radiotherapy Planning system, a mathematics model of constrained optimization has been built. Furthermore, we have produced a feasible project of automatic selecting optimized beam arcs plan using SA (Simulated Annealing) arithmetic based on the distribution of the fields of DR and DG in the reduced phase space.

Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 2008;24(6):630-632
Objective To evaluate the clinical significance of glycated albumin (GA), a parameter in reflecting recent glycemic control, in patients with impaired glucose regulation (IGR) and newly diagnosed diabetes mellitus. Methods From January to June 2007, 516 subjects who accepted oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) in out-patient department were randomly enrolled, including 130 with normal glucose regulation (NGR), 154 with IGR and 232 with diabetes mellitus. The fasting plasma glucose (FPG), 0.5 h plasma glucose (PG), 1hPG, 2hPG, 3hPG after glucose loading, HbA1c and GA were measured in each subject. The correlation between GA and the other parameters were analyzed. Results There were significant differences in the values of GA among NGR, IGR and diabetes mellitus groups (all P < 0.01), but no difference in the values of HbA1c between NGR group and IGR group (P > 0.05). GA was positively correlated with HbA1c (r = 0.75, P < 0.01). Stepwise regression analysis showed that FPG, 2hPG and body mass index were the major independent contributing factors. Conclusion The combination of plasma glucose with GA measurement may be helpful in evaluating the status of glucose metabolism.

Objective To explore the pathologic changes in the brain areas corresponding to specific cognitive function and underlying mechanism of cognitive impairment in patients with epilepsy by DTI study. Methods Forty-four Patients and 20 control subjects received the test of Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale and the Diffusion-Tensor Imaging examination.Mean diffusivity (MD) and fractional anisotropy (FA) in the normal appearing white matter of interested area were measured.T test was employed to compare the MD and FA between patients and healthy controls, patients with normal and impaired FIQ respectively. The relationships between FIQ and DTI value were analyzed by Bivariate correlations. Results VIQ (100.52?17.63),PIQ (95.10?16.72) and FIQ (98.19?17.76) of the patients with epilepsy were significantly lower than those of health controls (VIQ,PIQ and FIQ were 109.77?13.54,108.11? 12.17 and 109.81?10.57,respectively).Significant reduction of FA in both side of posterior limb of internal capsule (P

Objective To investigate the influence of mannitol and glycerin injection (containing 15% mannitol and 15% glycerin) on experimental intracranial hypertension. Methods Rabbits were randomly divided into eight groups (n =8 rabbits/group):normal control group, model control group,mannitol-glycerol injection groups (2.5 ml/kg group,5 ml/kg group, and 10 ml/kg group),compound mannitol injection fluid group,20% mannitol group, and 10% glycerol-sodium chloride injection group. The continuous intravenous infusion of nitroglycerin [0.04 mg/(kg · min),10 min] on rabbits was used to establish intracranial hypertension model except the normal control group of animals, and effect of mannitol glycerol injection on it with a single intravenous injection was observed.Serum renal function, electrolytes and other indicators were tested. Results Intravenous infusion of mannitol glycerol injection (2.5 ml/kg,5 ml/kg,and 10 ml/kg) could significantly reduce rabbit nitroglycerin-induced intracranial hypertension, and dosedependent, with increasing dose reducing intracranial pressure could enhance(P < 0.05).Mannitol glycerol injection (5 ml/kg) produced the same intracranial pressure compared to 20% mannitol and compound mannitol injection, and maintained a long-time role. Conclusions Mannitol glycerin injection can significantly reduce intracranial pressure. Its intensity is the same as 20% mannitol and compound mannitol injection, and maintains a longer intracranial pressure without significant renal dysfunction and electrolyte distnrhances.
