Objective To investigate the role of PI3K/AKT and ERK1/2 signaling pathways in the process of cardiomyopathy induced by doxorubicin(DOX).Methods Twenty SD rats were divided into two groups:DOX group(10 rats that were injected through caudal vein with 2.5 mg/kg DOX,once a week, for 6 weeks)and control group(10 rats). At 5th week after the end of DOX injection, the structural changes and functional damage were examined, and the apoptosis rate of cardiomyocytes and the expression levels of p-AKT and p-ERK1/2 were determined. Results Eleven weeks after the DOX injection, the myocardial pathological changes were mainly myofibrillar loss and cytoplasmic vacuolization.DOX could induce compensated heart function(the value of FS% was 34,P0.05)and Bax to 338%(P

AIM: To study the changes in anterior chamber angle after phacoemulsification and foldable IOL implantation with ultrasound biomicroscopy.METHODS: Small-incision phacoemulsification and foldable IOL implantation were performed in 50 eyes of 46 senior patients, and the changes of anterior chamber angle were determined quantitatively by using ultrasound biomicroscopy before and one month after the surgery.RESULTS: In all patients, the angle was widened significantly one month after the surgery (P<0.01). The measurements of TIA500 ( trabecular-iris angle at 500μm from the scleral spur) , AOD250 (angle-opening distance at 250μm from the scleral spur) and AOD500 (angle-opening distance at 500μm from the scleral spur) increased significantly after the operation ( P< 0.01). The mean post/pre-operative TIA500ratio, AOD250 ratio and AOD500 ratio were 1.65 (1.12-4.91),1.81 (1.06-2.67) and 1.65 (1.01-2.76), respectively. A significant negative correlation existed between preoperative and postoperative data.CONCLUSION: Small-incision cataract surgery deepens the anterior chamber and widens anterior chamber angle significantly in senior patients. The narrower the preoperative angle, the higher ratio of post/preoperative ratio found.

Objective To explore the mechanism of blood-stage treatment in patients with psoriasis vulgaris through studying the level change of IFN-?, IL-4, IL-10 and IL-17 in patients with blood-stage treatment during activity and quiescence period separately. Methods 20 patients with psoriasis vulgaris in active stage(blood heat syndrome)and 20 patients with psoriasis vulgaris in resting stage(blood stasis syndrome) were recruitedto observe the treatment effects by the PASI score, and to observe thechange of IFN-?, IL-4, IL-10, IL-17 before and after treatment in the serum by ELISA. Results The PASI scores of two groups were both significantly decreased after treatment (blood heat syndrome group t=6.685, P<0.01;blood stasis syndrome group t=4.959, P<0.01). The levels of cytokines were significantly different between patients in the periods of activity and quiescence. Onvarying degrees, the levels of cytokines of two groups were improved after treatment. The levels of cytokines IFN-?, IL-17 in blood heat group significantly decreased(t=3.024, P<0.01;t=2.543, P<0.05). The levels of cytokines IL-17 drop but the levels of cytokines IL-4 raised in blood stasis group, that were significantly differentwith the levels before treatment(t=2.417, P<0.05; t=2.547, P<0.05). Conclusion The levels of INF-?, IL-4, IL-10 and IL-17 could be effectively modulated with blood-stage treatment in treating psoriasis vulgaris.

Objective To compare the sensitivity and specificity of interferon-gamma release assay(IGRA) in the Tibetan and Han patients with pulmonary tuberculosis(TB),and to investigate its clinical application value for screening Tibetan patients with pulmonary TB.Methods Sixty-four Tibetan cases of pulmonary TB,41 Tibetan cases of non-pulmonary TB,40 Han cases of pulmonary TB and 38 Han cases of non-pulmonary-TB in our hospital from April 2013 to April 2015 were selected and performed IGRA.T cells infected by mycobacterium tuberculosis were detected by ELISA.The difference between Tibetan abd Han nationalities was compared. The clinical value of IGRAfor screening Tibetan patients with pulmonary TB was evaluated by calculating the statistical indicators. Results The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value of IGRA for diagnosing Tibetan pulmonary TB were 90.62%(58/64),80.49%(33/41),87.88%(58/66) and 84.62%(33/39) respectively, which for diagnosing Han patients with pulmonary TB were 92.50%(37/40),84.21%(32/38),86.05%(37/43) and 91.43%(32/35) respectively. The sensitivity and specificity of IGRA for diagnosing Tibetan and Han pulmonary TB had no statistical difference(χ2=0.005,P=0.944;χ2=0.018,P=0.893).Conclusion IGRA has high value for early diagnosis of Tibetan pulmonaty TB and is conducive to screening of early pulmonary TB.

Objective To investigate the effects of different ligation position, vena coronaria variation and lidocaine on myocardial infarction size and mortality in rats Methods Totally 120 male SD rats were divided into four groups with 30 rats in each group: low ligation with invisible vena coronaria, low ligation with visible vena coronaria, high ligation, and high ligation plus lidocaine Results MI was successfully created in 930% rats of high ligation groups and in 673% rats of low ligation groups The mortality was 433% in rats of high ligation groups, only 133% in rats when lidocaine in use Conclusion High ligation increases the success rate of rat model of myocardial infarction and the application of lidocaine decreases the mortality of the rat model
