Full ceramic prosthesis is becoming the main prosthetic development direction. As an important kind of full ceramic prosthesis, full ceramic veneer has not only natural cosmetic appearance and perfect biocompatibility, but also can preserve tooth structure as much as possible, which would be more easily accepted by patients for cosmetic prosthesis. Many methods, such as slip casting, die casting and CAD/CAM technology are available to make full ceramic veneer. All the methods have their own advantages and disadvantages. Slip casting is easy to be developed widely with low cost, so be used in practical work. In this article, the working process of full ceramic veneer, especially manufacture of removable dies, duplication of refractory models, were introduced, which was supposed to be beneficial for the technicians.

Objective To obtain the specific human scFv basic fibroblast growth factor(bFGF)using phage antibody library technology. Methods The library was panned with human recombinant bFGF for 4 rounds. The antigen binding activities of random clones were tested by ELISA in order to select specific antibodies, which were then examined by DNA sequence analysis. Results The positive clone selected from the 104 random clones was able to bind bFGF specifically, while not able to bind other growth factors, such as aFGF, VEGF(vascular endothelial growth factor). By competition ELISA assay we found one clone 44 could inhibit bFGF binding to FGFR1. Conclusion Seven specific human phage antibody against bFGF was obtained by phage display technique, one clone could inhibit bFGF binding to its high affinity receptor FGFR1.

Objective:To understand and analyze the levels of individual dose to medical radiation workers from occupational external exposure in Inner Mongolia autonomous region from 2015 to 2019, with a view to provide basic scientific data for workers′ health protection and radiation protection management. Methods:By using National Individual Dose Registry, the individual dose monitoring result and other related data for medical workers were collected and analyzed. Results:The average annual individual doses to medical radiation workers in a time order from 2015 to 2019 were 0.72, 0.87, 0.88, 0.71 and 0.64 mSv, respectively. There were significant differences in the annual effective dose distribution in diagnostic radiology, dental radiology, nuclear medicine, radiotherapy, interventional radiology and other applications ( H=466.56, P<0.05). The average annual effective doses to workers in interventional radiology and nuclear medicine had not shown significant difference ( P>0.05), but significantly higher than those in other occupational categories ( Z=19.95, 9.87, 10.10, 12.76, P<0.05). Conclusions:The average annual effective dose to medical radiation workers is in accordance with the relevant national standards. The dose values for the radiation workers involved in interventional radiology and nuclear medicine are relatively high, especially for interventional radiology workers and radioactive drug operators. The protection measures should be further improved in radiation protection workplace.

Objective:To study the enhancing effect of bFGF-targeted antisense phosphorothioate oligonucleotide (APO)on the chemosensitivity of human laryngeal squamous carcinoma cell line Hep2 to Doxorubicin,5-Fluorouracil, and Cisplatin.Methods:bFGF-specific APO was designed, constructed and transfected into Hep2 cells with jetPEI (polyethyleneimine).Expression of bFGF mRNA was evaluated by semi-quantitative RT-PCR after transfection;immuno- cytochemical method was used to examine the expression of bEGF expression before and after transfection of Hep2;the in- duction of cell apoptosis was analyzed by flow cytometry;cell proliferation was then analYzed by MTT assay after treatment with bFGF-specific APO or chemotherapeutic drugs,or a combination of both.Results:bFGF-specific APO inhibited the growth of Hep2 cells in a dose-and time-dependent manner, with the peak inhibitory rate being 25.5%.The expression of bFGF mRNA and protein decreased by 52.0% and 41.1%,respectively.The apoptosis rate of Hep2 cells was 20.5% after transfection,bFGF-specifie APO reduced the 50% inhibitory concentration of Doxorubicin,5-Fluorouracil,and Cis- platin in Hep2 cells by 75.5%,83.5% and 65.4%,respectively.Conclusion:bFGF-specific APO can enhance the chemosensitivity of Hep2 cells, which paves a new way for potential biologic chemotherapy of laryngeal squamous carcino- ma.

Paeoniflorin is the main active ingredient of Chinese herbaceous peony. This study is to investigate the protective effect of paeoniflorin (Pae) on acute brain damage induced by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) in mice. The mice were randomly assigned to the normal control, model control (LPS), as well as groups of paeoniflorin and lipopolysaccharide (Pae + LPS). Then the mice were administered intraperitioneally with normal saline or Pae (10, 30 mg · kg(-1)) once daily for 6 d. One hour after intrapertioneally treatment on the seventh day, each group were injected LPS (5 mg · kg(-1)) to establish the endotoxin lipopolysaccharide inflammation model except the normal group. The mice were sacrificed after 6 h and the brain homogenates were prepared and measured. The malondialdehyde (MDA), superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px), total antioxidant capacity (T-AOC), hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), succinatedehydrogenase (SDH), Na(+)-K(+)-ATPase and Ca(2+)-Mg(2+)-ATPase were dectected by the colorimetric method. The levels of HO-1 and Nrf2 protein in subcellular fractions of brain tissue were detected by Western blot. The results demonstrated that the administration with paeoniflorin reduced the levels of the MDA production; significantly increase the activities of antioxidant enzyme (SOD and GSH-PX). In addition, paeoniflorin could enhance the total antioxidant capacity, decrease the level of H2O2, and increase the activities of SDH, Na(+)-K(+)-ATPase and Ca(2+)-Mg(2+)-ATPase. Furthermore, paeoniflorin can increase the expression of HO-1 and activate the nuclear transfer of Nrf2. Taking together, these findings suggest that paeoniflorin alleviate the acute inflammation in mice brain damage induced by LPS, which is related with its antioxidant effect and improvement of energy metabolism.

Objective To investigate the effect of angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) genetic polymorphism on the cardiovascular response to endotracheal intubation in patients with hypertension. Methods The patients with primary hypertension,ASA Ⅱ or Ⅲ,aged 54-64 yr,weighing 50-70 kg,scheduled for elective operation under general anesthesia, were enrolled in this study.Polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism was used to detect the polymorphism of ACE gene. The patients were assigned into 3 groups according to their genotypes:homozygote DD group (group DD),heterozygote ID group (group ID),and homozygote Ⅱ group (group Ⅱ).Systolic blood pressure (SBP),diastolic blood pressure (DBP) and heart rate (HR) were recorded before and after induction of anesthesia, and at 0,1.5 and 5.0 min after intubation (T0-4).The rate-pressure product (RPP) was calculated. The cardiovascular events were recorded. Results In groups DD,ID and Ⅱ,40,39 and 40 cases were included in the analysis respectively.Compared with group ID,there was no significant difference in SBP,DBP,HR and RPP at T0-4 in group DD (P > 0.05).Compared with groups DD and ID,SBP,DBP,HR and RPP were significantly deceased at T2,3,and SBP,HR and RPP were significantly deceased at T4 in group Ⅱ (P < 0.05).The incidences of the myocardial ischemia during intubation and cardiovascular response to intubation were significantly lower in group C than in groups DD and ID (P < 0.05).Conclusion ACE genetic polymorphism exerts an effect on the cardiovascular response to endotracheal intubation in patients with hypertension, and homozygote DD and heterozygote ID have the most influence.
