A questionnaire was used to survey the perspective of the 22 mentors,24 students, 27 graduate students and 27 public health units on the competence of MPH student. The result showed that the practice skill,analyzing skill,program plan and practice skill,and emergency reaction abil-ity got more attention. This suggested that to the training of MPH,the training objective should focus on the ability to resolve problems; the curriculum should focus on the characters of public health and on the practice training.

Abstract: Objective To explore the correlation between monocyte to high-density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio (MHR) and insulin resistance (IR) in male patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) combined with metabolic-related fatty liver disease (MAFLD). Methods A total of 454 male patients with T2DM combined with MAFLD in National Metabolic Management Center (MMC) of the Affiliated Hospital of Jiangsu University from May 2018 to July 2020 were enrolled. AIM To observe the long-term toxicities of reteplase(Ret). METHODS Rat was administrated by injection of vein on 14 consecutive days to macaca fasicular. RESULTS Ret 8.0 MIU?kg -1 to macaca fasicular did not show any toxicity. In 25.0 MIU?kg -1 and 80.0 MIU?kg -1 of doses, RBC, HGB and HCT of blood have significantly decreased. Feces of hidden blood test also showed positive response in some animals, meanwhile, Ret could reduce the content of plasma total protein. But these changes could have recovery in restoration period. In addition, in 8.0?25.0?80.0 MIU?kg -1 doses, Ret could significantly lengthen bleeding time and clotting time. The obvious toxic changes of coefficient and pathology in Ret 8.0?25.0?80.0 MIU?kg -1 groups were not found. CONCLUSION 8.0 MIU?kg -1 is a safety dosage by injection of vein. 25.0,80.0 MIU?kg -1 doses have certain toxic actions, such as anemia and bleeding, but these toxic effects were reversible.

Trachoma, a contagious keratoconjunctivitis ( KC ) , caused by Chlamydia trachomatis infection, is rife in 57 countries in the world at present. The World Health Organization ( WHO) listed the global alliance to eliminate blinding trachoma by 2020 as one of top priorities of its blindness prevention in 1998. A simplified classification system for identifying and naming trachoma, designated by WHO, and the SAFE strategy based on community intervention were extended continuously in the world in 10 years since then. The trachoma prevalence trend has showed a change compared with that in the past. China has launched the blindness prevention action, aimed to eliminate blinding trachoma by 2016. In this paper, we reviews progress in diagnosis, treatment and epidemic of trachoma since the extension of the SAFE strategy.
9.The effects and mechanisms of berberine on proliferation of papillary thyroid cancer K1 cells induced by high glucose

Objective To study the effect and mechanisms of berberine (BBR) on the proliferation of papillary thyroid cancer K1 cells induced by high glucose.Methods K1 cells were cultured under 5.5 mmol/L or 25 mmol/L glucose condition with or without different concentration of BBR (0,10,40 and 80 μmol/L) for 24 hours.The proliferations of K1 cells in each condition were detected by MTT.Western blot was used to measure the expression of nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrt2),phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K),protein kinase B (Akt) and phosphorylated-Akt (p-Akt).The distribution pattern of Nrf2 in K1 cells was determined using immunofluorescent staining.Results Compared with 5.5 mmol/L condition,the proliferation rate [(126.64 ± 5.41) % vs (87.31 ± 3.67) %],expression levels of PI3K (0.425 ±0.019 vs 0.272 ±0.039),p-Akt/Akt (0.446 ±0.021 vs 0.168 ±0.035) and Nrf2 (0.597 ± 0.014 vs 0.308 ± 0.026),and Nrf2 distribution (93.0% vs 23.1%) in nuclear of K 1 cells under 25 mmol/L condition were significantly elevated,respectively (all P <0.01).Addition of BBR in 25 mmol/L condition dose dependently (10,40,80 μmol/L) lowered the proliferation rate of K1 cells [(111.76 ± 4.10)%,(70.03 ±2.18)%,(32.41 ±3.76)% vs (126.64 ±5.41)%,all P<0.05],and suppressed the expression of PI3K,p-Akt/Akt,Nrf2,and Nrf2 nuclear distribution (P < 0.05).Conclusions BBR dose dependently inhibited the proliferation of high glucose-induced K1 cells.This effect was associated with the suppression on of PI3K/Akt signaling activation,Nrf2 expression and its nuclear translocation.
10.Dynamic observation of asthma model induced by allergen in mice from acute inflammation to chronic remodeling

AIM:To dynamically observe and compare the relative changes of the indexes from the process of acute inflammation to chronic remodeling in asthmatic mice induced by ovalbumin ( OVA) .METHODS:Female BALB/c mice (n=60) were randomly divided into normal control group and asthma group .The mice in asthma group were sensi-tized and challenged by OVA , while the mice in normal group received equal volume of normal saline ( NS) .The challenge was performed for 3 consecutive days from the 21th day to observe the response of acute inflammation , and then the mice in different groups were challenged once per week for 5 weeks.Detailed comparisons of the dynamic changes of cell infiltra-tion, cytokine expression and airway remodeling were conducted .RESULTS:Compared with NS group , the mice in OVA group showed a predominantly eosinophilic infiltration into the airway lumen , increased production of Th 2-type cytokines , secretion of epithelial mucus and deposition of subepithelial collagen .In OVA challenge groups , the levels of inflammatory cells and inflammatory factors were remarkably higher in 24 d group, whereas the most obvious changes of goblet cell hyper-plasia and airway remodeling were observed in 52 d group.CONCLUSION:Acute asthma model is sufficiently induced by 3 consecutive days of OVA challenge protocol , which is accompanied with high levels of inflammatory cells and inflammato-ry factors.The OVA challenge protocol once per week for 5 weeks could induce a chronic asthma model with obvious airway remodeling .
