Background Abnormality of intraocular pressure (IOP) leads to ocular shape change and functional damage.Previous study on the influence factors of IOP mostly focus on eye tissue,but the research of systemic affecting factor is lack.Objective This study was to survey the distribution of IOP and its association with the systemic factors in Chinese population.Methods A cross-section study was designed in this study.The subjects were enrolled from the government employees physical check-up cohort in Guangzhou.IOP was measured using non-contact tonometry.The height,weight and blood pressure were measured based on a presupposed standard protocol.Fundus and slit lamp examinations were performed by trained ophthalmologists.Frequency-doubled perimetry was carried out in the subjects with the suspicious optical disc abnormality,and abnormal perimetry result and operated eye were rejected in the survey.The operative history was learned by questionnaire.Stata 11.0 was used for the data analysis.Results Total 7763 subjects finished all the examination,including 4213 male and 3550 female.Four hundred and fifteen subjects were excluded due to previous intraocular surgery and glaucoma,and the clinical data of the right eyes of 7348 subjects who were eligible for the protocol were brought into statistical analysis.The mean IOP was (15.6±2.8) mmHg in the subjects,and that in the male and female subjects was (15.6±2.8) mmHg and (15.7±2.8) mmHg,respectively,showing a statistically significant difference (t =2.415,P =0.016).A good consistence was found in the IOP between the right eyes and the left eyes (r=0.830,P＜0.001).The IOP value in the subjects presented with a near normal distribution.IOP value was gradually decreased with the increase of age.Multivariate regression suggested a negative correlation between IOP and age or gender (P＜0.001) as well as a positive correlation between IOP and body weight index (BMI),systolic blood pressure or diastolic blood pressure (P ＜0.001).Conclusions Similar to other studies in East Asia population,IOP is associated with age,gender,BMI,systolic and diastolic blood pressure in this survey.

Objective：To establish a capillary gas chromatography(CGC) method for identifying the origin fungi of traditional Chinese medicine Hongqu. Methods：The volatile components of 7 species of Monascus including M. purpureus Went, M.aurantiacus Lee, M. serorubesceus　Sato, M. albidus Sato, M. barkeri Dangerd, M. ruber van　Tieghem, and　M.fuliginosus　Sato were analyzed by capillary gas chromatography method. Inlet temperature and detector temperature were 280℃，temperature program were 130℃,5 min→10℃/min→200℃, 10 min FID was used for detection. Results：The variety and contents of the volatility components in Monascus had obvious differences which can be distinguished easily by the main fingerprint peaks within 20 min. Conclusion：This method is useful to identify of Monascus fungi.

Objective To study the feasibility and characteristic findings of contrast-enhancedultrasound(CEUS)on peripheral pulmonary tumors.Methods Twenty patients with peripheral pulmonarytumors proven by pathology were studied.They were divided into two groups:primary pulmonary tumors (n=15),and metastatic pulmonary tumors(n=5). The dynamic enhancement images were stored and Strip enhancement was dominant in the primary pulmonary tumors,while dot enhancement was dominant in ascended quickly and descended slowly,while ascended slowly and descended slowly in majority of metastaticThe modes of enhancement and time-intensity curves were all different in primary and metastatic pulmonary tumors.Contrast-enhanced uhrasound is promising in the diagnosis of peripheral pulmonary tumors.

Objective To modify the methods of operation and establishment of cerebral ischemia rat models made by thread occlusion. Method We randomly divided 120 male SD rats into a common group (n = 50), an improvement group (n = 60) and a sham-operated group (n - 10). Rats in the common and improvement groups were made into models using the common and improvement methods separately. All models were evaluated on the basis of physical sign indices and 2,3,5-triphenyltetrazolium chloride (TTC) staining. The TTC staining results were taken as gold standards. Then, we compared the achievement ratios of the two groups, and computed the sensitivity and specificity of every physical sign index based on these standards. The χ~2 or correction χ~2 test was used to compare the ratios. Results (1) The achievement ratio in the improvement group was significantly higher than that in the common group (71.67% vs. 52.00%, P = 0.034). (2) The sensitivity of evaluation for both common and improvement methods was 98.55%. However, the specificity of evaluation for the improvement method was significantly higher than that for the common method (100.00% vs. 40.00%, P =0.000). Conclusions The establishment achievement ratio and evaluation correctness of models are obviously elevated by modification of the operation and establishment methods.

A novel DR image denoising algorithm based on Laplace-Impact mixture model in dual-tree complex wavelet domain is proposed in this paper. It uses local variance to build probability density function of Laplace-Impact model fitted to the distribution of high-frequency subband coefficients well. Within Laplace-Impact framework, this paper describes a novel method for image denoising based on designing minimum mean squared error (MMSE) estimators, which relies on strong correlation between amplitudes of nearby coefficients. The experimental results show that the algorithm proposed in this paper outperforms several state-of-art denoising methods such as Bayes least squared Gaussian scale mixture and Laplace prior.

Objective To study the expression of novel inhibitor of apoptosis protein(IAP) family member livin gene and its two isoforms(livin ? and livin ?) in brain tissue of children with gliomas.Methods Livin ? and Livin ? mRNA were detected by real time fluorescent quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) in brain tissue of 30 children with gliomas and 12 healthy children.Result The positive rate of Livin mRNA expression was 83.3%(25/30 cases)in 30 cases of children with gliomas,the positive rate of Livin mRNA was only 8.3%(1/12 case) in normal brain tissue,there was significant difference in 2 groups(P
