Objective To study the effect of esomeprazole, clarithromycin, metronidazole triple therapy for helicobactor pylori(Hp) infection in children. Methods Ninty-eight cases of children, identified by ~ 13 C-urea breath test(~ 13 C-UBT) Hp infection, deparded into therapy group(66 cases) and control group(32 cases).Therapy group were given Esomeprazole[0.8 mg/(kg?d),1 time/d],clarithromycin[15 mg/(kg?d),2 times/d],metronidazole[30 mg/(kg?d),3 times/d]triple therapy.Control group were given the same treatment except ameprazole. The course was 1 week. They were followed up 4 weeks later after the course and re-tested by ~ 13 C-UBT.Results The recurrent abdominal pain of the two groups recovered in different degrees, and the efficacy rate was 100%.The eradication rate of Hp in therapy group and control group were separately 90.9%(60/66) and 87.5%(28/32).There was no significance difference of the eradication of Hp.Conclusions The trearment of esomeprazole, clarithromycin, metronidazole triple therapy on Hp infection in children is quite effective and safe. The side effect is moderate.

Journal of Acupuncture and Tuina Science 2018;16(4):243-247
Objective:To assess the clinical efficacy of abdominal acupuncture for subhealth insomnia.Methods:Eighty-two cases of subhealth insomnia were randomly divided into an observation group (41 cases) and a control group (41 cases). The control group was treated with conventional acupuncture. The observation group was treated with Bo's abdominal acupuncture on the basis of conventional acupuncture.Six treatments constituted one treatment course. The measuring scale of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome for subhealth state (MSSSHS) and Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI) scores were compared between the two groups after two courses,to estimate the efficacy of abdominal acupuncture for subhealth insomnia. Results:One case dropped out from the observation group, while 2 cases dropped out from the control group. The MSSSHS score and PSQI score both declined after the treatment in the two groups (all P<0.05).The MSSSHS and PSQI scores in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (both P<0.05).Conclusion:The abdominal acupuncture is effective for subhealth insomnia, and it can enhance the effect of conventional acupuncture.

ObjectiveTo observe the effect on repairing facial nerve injury of rabbits by neural stem cells and autologous fasia. Methods22 rabbits with transected facial nerve were divided into 2 groups randomly, control group (8 rabbits,15 sides totally), which transected facial nerve were wrapped by autologous fasia, and treament group (14 rabbits, 20 sides totally), which were wrapped by neural stem cells and autologous fasia. Six weeks after transplantation, neuro-electrophysiological test, immunohistochemical examination were done. The number and thickness of myelin in the re-connected area of transected facial nerve were observed. ResultsThe transplanted animals recovered much better than that in control group (P<0.05). Immunohistochemical examination showed a great deal of BrdU positive cells around the re-connected area of transected facial nerve. Immunohistochemical staining also found plenty of regenerative myelins in this area in the treatment group. While in control group, there were no BrdU positive cells and only a few of regenerative myelins in the same area. ConclusionTransplantation of neural stem cells combined with autologous fasia might become the new method to treat facial nerve injury.

This study aims to perform a survey of genetic variation in neuraminidase (NA) gene of influenza A/H3N2 virus, as well as related resistance to NA inhibitors, in Qinghai Province of China, 2010 to 2012. Strains of influenza A/H3N2 isolated during an influenza survey from 2010 to 2012 in Qinghai were enrolled by random sampling. Viral RNA was extracted and amplified by RT-PCR. Purified PCR products were sequenced thereafter. Genetic analysis of nucleic acid and the derived amino acid sequences was performed by MEGA 4.0. Phylogenetic trees were also constructed. Strains isolated during 2010-2011 in this study clustered closely with World Health Organization (WHO) 2010-2012 reference vaccine strain A/Perth/16/2009 and 2008-2010 reference vaccine strain A/Brisbane/10/2007 on the phylogenetic tree, while the 2012 isolates were located on another branch. In analysis of derived amino acid sequences, the 2010 isolates mutated at K81T, the 2011 isolates mutated at I26V and D127N, while the 2012 isolates mutated at E41K, P46A, I58V, T71N, L81P, D93G, D127N, D151N, and I307M. The D151N mutation added a glycosylation site to the activity center of NA. No significant variation was discovered in H3N2 NA gene of 2010-2011 isolates in Qinghai, China. Isolates of 2012 were found with significant mutation, which has the potential of inducing minor resistance to NA inhibitors like zanamivir and oseltamivir.

Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2013;(1):13-17
Background Dyslipidemia is one of the major causes of age-related macular degeneration (AMD).At present, the study of the preventive and treating methods of A MD is still a hot spot. Objective The purpose of this study was to observe the effect of tonifying the spleen and promoting blood circulation on the retina and Bruch membrane in apolipoprotein E-deficient (ApoE-/-) mice with dyslipidemia. Methods Thirty-six ApoE-/-mice aged 2 months were randomly divided into the normal diet group, high fat diet group and medicine group.A diet with a higher content of fat was given for 5 consecutive months to the mice of the high fat diet group and medicine group, and in the last month,a concoction that tonifies the spleen and promotes blood circulation was gavagely administered in the medicine group, and an equivalent volumes of normal saline solution was administered in the same way in the normal diet group and high fat diet group.Total plasma cholesterol (TC),low density lipoprotein (LDL)and triglyceride (TG) were detected by (ELISA? Name of assay?) using the 7170 Hitachi automatic biochemical analyzer, and morphological changes of the retina and Bruch membrane were examined by light microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. The number of outer nuclear layer (ONL) cells, retinal pigment epithelial (RPE) cells and the thickness of the Bruch membrane were examined by semi-quantitative histopathology with the Mias 2000 Imaging Analyzer System. Results The concentrations of TC,LDL and TG were (6.47 ±0.49) mmol/L,(1.46 ±0.10)mmol/L and (0.62 ±0.21) mmol/L,respectively,in 7-month-old mice of the medicine group, showing a significant reduction in comparison with (10.53 ±0.30) mmol/L,(1.90±0.13) mmol/L,(1.15±0.29) mmol/L of the high fat diet group, and (9.63 ± 0.18) mmol/L,(1.12 ± 0.15) mmol/L,(0.88 ± 0.21) mmol/L in the normal diet group (P<0.05-0.01).The disorder and atrophy of ONL and RPE cells, divergence of fiber of the Bruch membranes were found in both the high fat diet group and normal diet control group under the light microscope, and drusen formed in some of the mice in the high fat diet group. However,ONL and RPE were well organized in the medicine group. The cell numbers in the ONL and RPE layer in the 7-month-old mice were (23 124.00±755.18) and (10.75±0.59),respectively,in the medicine group,(19 107.00 ± 1436.82) and (8.55 ± 1.11),respectively,in the high fat diet group,(21 663.00± 1073.27) and (9.75 ±0.58),respectively,in the normal diet group, with significant differences among them (P<0.05-0.001).Thickness of the Bruch membrane in the medicine group extensively reduced in high fat diet group and normal diet control group (P<0.01).The ultrastructures of the RPE and Bruch membrane were much more improved in the mdedicine group. Conclusions Tonifying the spleen and promoting blood circulation can attenuate hyperlipemia in ApoE-/-mouse;furthermore,it lessens the pathological abnormalities in the ONL,RPE and Bruch membrane.
