Objective To study the effect of esomeprazole,clarithromycin,metronidazole triple therapy for helicobactor pylori(Hp) infection in children.Methods Ninty-eight cases of children,identified by ~ 13 C-urea breath test(~ 13 C-UBT) Hp infection,deparded into therapy group(66 cases) and control group(32 cases).Therapy group were given Esomeprazole[0.8 mg/(kg?d),1 time/d],clarithromycin[15 mg/(kg?d),2 times/d],metronidazole[30 mg/(kg?d),3 times/d]triple therapy.Control group were given the same treatment except ameprazole.The course was 1 week.They were followed up 4 weeks later after the course and re-tested by ~ 13 C-UBT.Results The recurrent abdominal pain of the two groups recovered in different degrees,and the efficacy rate was 100%.The eradication rate of Hp in therapy group and control group were separately 90.9%(60/66) and 87.5%(28/32).There was no significance difference of the eradication of Hp.Conclusions The trearment of esomeprazole,clarithromycin,metronidazole triple therapy on Hp infection in children is quite effective and safe.The side effect is moderate.

Objective:To assess the clinical efficacy of abdominal acupuncture for subhealth insomnia.Methods:Eighty-two cases of subhealth insomnia were randomly divided into an observation group (41 cases) and a control group (41 cases).The control group was treated with conventional acupuncture.The observation group was treated with Bo's abdominal acupuncture on the basis of conventional acupuncture.Six treatments constituted one treatment course.The measuring scale of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome for subhealth state (MSSSHS) and Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI) scores were compared between the two groups after two courses,to estimate the efficacy of abdominal acupuncture for subhealth insomnia.Results:One case dropped out from the observation group,while 2 cases dropped out from the control group.The MSSSHS score and PSQI score both declined after the treatment in the two groups (all P＜0.05).The MSSSHS and PSQI scores in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (both P＜0.05).Conclusion:The abdominal acupuncture is effective for subhealth insomnia,and it can enhance the effect of conventional acupuncture.

ObjectiveTo observe the effect on repairing facial nerve injury of rabbits by neural stem cells and autologous fasia. Methods22 rabbits with transected facial nerve were divided into 2 groups randomly, control group (8 rabbits,15 sides totally), which transected facial nerve were wrapped by autologous fasia, and treament group (14 rabbits, 20 sides totally), which were wrapped by neural stem cells and autologous fasia. Six weeks after transplantation, neuro-electrophysiological test, immunohistochemical examination were done. The number and thickness of myelin in the re-connected area of transected facial nerve were observed. ResultsThe transplanted animals recovered much better than that in control group (P<0.05). Immunohistochemical examination showed a great deal of BrdU positive cells around the re-connected area of transected facial nerve. Immunohistochemical staining also found plenty of regenerative myelins in this area in the treatment group. While in control group, there were no BrdU positive cells and only a few of regenerative myelins in the same area. ConclusionTransplantation of neural stem cells combined with autologous fasia might become the new method to treat facial nerve injury.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the clinical effect and safety of chiropractic in treating cervicogenic sudden hearing loss.

METHODSFrom January 2011 to October 2013, 90 patients with cervicogenic sudden hearing loss were randomly divided into treatment group and control group according to the random number table produced by SPSS 19.0 software. In the treatment group, there were 17 males and 28 females, aged from 31 to 62 years old with an average of (47.57±9.43) years; course of disease was from 1 to 3 days with an average of (1.43±0.68) days; pure-tone audiometry score was from 46.5 to 77.8 dB with the mean of (61.20±9.83) dB; Northwick Park Neck Pain Questionnaire (NPQ) score was from 17 to 31 scores with an average of (23.46±7.18) scores. In the control group, there were 15 males and 30 females, aged from 28 to 64 years old with an average of (45.77±6.99) years; course of disease was from 1 to 3 days with an average of (1.50±0.73) days; pure-tone audiometry score was from 48.1 to 75.0 dB with the mean of (63.91±8.05) dB; Northwick Park Neck Pain Questionnaire (NPQ) score was from 20 to 29 scores with an average of (25.61±10.43) scores. The patients of control group were treated with dexamethasone intravenous drip of 10 mg, 3 days later, decreased to 5 mg, 3 days again. And with the methycobal intravenous drip of 500 μg, treatment continued for 10 days. The patients of treatment group were treated with chiropractic additionally except for the therapeutic methods of control group. Chiropractic included local muscle loosening, attacking point, bilateral pulling atlanto-axial joint, and continuous treatment for 10 days. The pure-tone audiometry score and NPQ score were compared between two groups after treatment.

RESULTSAfter the treatment, pure-tone audiometry score and NPQ score in treatment group improved to (40.23± 8.14) dB and (12.70±8.29) scores respectively, which were obviously better than that of control group's (37.70±10.61) dB and (21.24±11.13) scores (P<0.05).

CONCLUSIONCompared with routine method for cervicogenic sudden hearing loss, additional chiropractic can improve hearing and relieve neck pain effectively.

Objective: To analyze the association of thrombocytosis with the prognosis of patients with gastric cancer.Methods: The clinical materials of 782 patients with gastric cancer who underwent initial surgery in our hospital between January 1995 and December 1999 were retrospectively analyzed.Kaplan- Meier and Log-Rank test were used to analyze the data.Prognostic factors were analyzed by multivariate Cox proportional hazards model.Results: Thrombocytosis oc-curred in 11.4% (87/782) patients.The platelet level was not significantly different among patients of different gender, tumor stage, and histological differentiation (P>0.05).However, a significant difference was observed in the platelet level among patients with different age and surgical approach (P<0.05).The 1-, 3-, and 5-year survival rates were 75.0%, 40.1% and 28.9% in patients without thrombocytosis and 52.8%, 16.9%, and 13.5% in patients with thrombocytosis (P=0.002).Univari-ate analysis showed that histological differentiation, pathological stage, surgical approach and thrombocytosis significantly affected the survival of patients.While age and gender had no significant impact on patient survival.Multivariate analysis showed that pathological stage, surgical approach, and thrombocytosis were independent prognostic factors for gastric can-cer.The relative risk of death of patients with thrombocytosis was elevated by 1.454 times (RR=1.454, 95% CI: 1.135～1.861, P=0.005).Conclusion: Thrombocytosis is an independent prognostic indicator for the survival of initially treated pa-tients with gastric cancer.
