Objective To discuss the risk factors and outcome of abnormal lung function in adult congenital heart disease .Meth‐ods 327 patients with adult congenital heart disease undergoinglung function testing between January ,2009 to December ,2011 in our hospital were enrolled .Accorded to the severity of lung dysfunction based on predicted values of forced vital capacity (FVC) ,pa‐tients were divided into 3 groups :group A(normal lung function ,predicted FVC >70% ) ,group B(mildly impaired lung function , predicted FVC 60% -70% ) ,group C(moderately to severely impaired lung function ,predicted FVC <60% ) ,all the patients were followed‐up to January in 2013 ,the baseline characteristics and outcome were recorded ,the associate factors of moderately to se‐verely impaired lung function in adult congenital heart disease were analyzed through Logistic regression analysis ,the risk factors of death in adult congenital heart disease were analyzed through Cox regression analysis ,and Kaplan‐Meier curve compared survival rate of patients in the 3 groups .Results Lung function was abnormal in 167 patients(51 .1% ) with adult congenital heart disease , in which moderately to severely impaired were 96 patients(29 .4% ) .BMI ,smoke and enlarged cardiothoracic ratio were independent associate factors of moderately to severely impaired lung function in adult congenital heart disease (P<0 .05) .NYHA Ⅲ - Ⅳ and moderate to severe impairment of lung function were independent predictors of death in adult congenital heart disease .There were significant difference of the survival rate between group A and group C ,group B and group C(P<0 .05) ,but it was not significantly different between group A and group B(P>0 .05) .Conclusion Lung function impairment is common in patients with adult congen‐ital heart disease ,and moderate to severe impairment of lung function seriously impact the outcome of the patients .

AIM: To study the electrophysiological characteristics of ion channels of stem cell derived cardiomyocytes (SCDC) of mouse. METHODS: Embryonic stem cells of D 3 line (ES-D 3) were cultured on the MEF feeder layer with BRL conditioned medium, and fetal mouse heart cells(FMHC)were cultured in vitro. Then ES-D 3 cells were induced to differentiate into many kinds of cells. SCDC were harvested on day 12 after differentiation initiating and identified by electro-microscope and immunocytochemistry. SCDC and FMHC were prepared for the patch-clamp research. Sodium and calcium currents together were elicited and compared between SCDC and FMHC. RESULTS: The current characteristics of sodium and calcium channels of SCDC were very similar to FMHC. CONCLUSION: The functional expression of ion channels occurred during ES-D 3 cells differentiation and the electrophysiological characteristics of sodium and calcium channels of SCDC are very similar to FMHC.

Objective To establish a distraction osteogenesis SD rat model for exploring the effect of total flavonoids from Rhizoma Drynariae on the quality of rat bone formation in the process of distraction osteogenesis from the perspective of tomography. Methods Twenty-four rats were randomly divided into experimental group and control group after successful modeling, and were respectively given intragastric administration with total flavonoids from Rhizoma Drynariae(in dose of 77.125 mg/kg) and saline for 8 weeks.Seven days after operation, the tibias of all the rats were given distraction at the speed of 0.2 mm for 20 days.Eight weeks after the operation,X-ray examination for all the rats was performed, and then the rats were killed for obtaining the tibia samples for Micro-CT scanning. The differences of X-ray Lane-Sandhu scores, the bone mineral density and bone mineral content were compared between the two groups. Results The X-ray Lane-Sandhu scores, the bone mineral density and bone mineral contents showed by Micro-CT scanning in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05).Conclusion The total flavonoids from Rhizoma Drynariae can improve the quality of bone formation in the process of distraction osteogenesis in rats.

Pancreatic cancer is malignant with a poor prognosis, and its incidence is rising worldwide in recent years.Multiple slices spiral computed tomography and computed angiography are the first choice for the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer, while misdiagnosis of pancreatic cancer still exists. From August 2009 to October 2011,80 patients with pancreatic or periampullary cancer were diagnosed using the medical image three dimensional visualization system (MI-3DVS).The threedimensional models of the liver, pancreas, vascular system and tumors were reconstructed successfully based on the 64-slice spiral computed tomography data.According to the analysis of the three dimensional models,4 patients underwent standard pancreaticoduodenectomy,1 received palliative surgery.MI3DVS plays an important role in the diagnosis and assessement of resectability of pancreatic and periampullary cancer.

Objective To explore the effects of gossypol acetate on the morphological features and the gene expression in the femoral head of Sprague-Dawley rat in vivo after treated with dexamethasone .Methods Dexamethasone(Dex) was injected into the abdominal cavity of SD rats at an dose of 10 mg/kg ,twice a week ,and feed gossypol acetate 5 mg · kg -1 · d-1 .The controls re-ceived saline 2 mL injection .The treatment lasted for 12 and 20 weeks .The slices of the femoral head were made for HE and immu-nohistochemical study .The total mRNA was extracted for RT-PCR assessment .Results The cancellous bone trabecular became sparse ,trabecular bone area ratio decreased ,bone marrow fat tissue increased .These changes were fitted for pathological character of bone necrosis .The gossypol acetate could not affect the pathological changes .The proportion of the positive stained osteoblasts increased ,adipocytes decreased .PPARγ,C/EBPα,11β-HSD1 expression enhanced ,Runx2 down regulated in the treatment groups and GAA group .Conclusion Dex can induce evident pathological changes conform to the characters of femoral head necrosis .They may have closed correlation between 11β-HSD1 and the gene expression .But GAA could not affected the pathological changes and abnormality of the gene expression .

Objective To investigate the values of three-dimensional visualization technology in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of hepatic hemangioma. Methods Thirty two patients with hepatic hemangioma who had been hospitalized during the period from July 2010 to January 2014 in our hospital were scanned by 64-slice spiral computerized tomography (CT) before surgical treatment. Three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction based on the CT data was carried out to achieve dignosis and surgical planning. Assisted with the 3D model , we chose the best surgical procedure for liver resection, protecting the major blood vessels near hemangioma and retaining normal liver tissue as far as possible. Results The location, size and shape of hepatic hemangioma, vascular variation, and spatial relationship with intrahepatic vessel were shown factually by three-dimensional reconstruction. All the hemangiomas were preoperatively assessed to be resectable. The compliance rate for preoperative surgical planning to actual surgery was 100%. Under assistance of the 3D model during surgery , 14 patients received laparoscopic hepatectomy and 18 underwent hepatectomy. Pringle′s maneuver was applied in 18 patients , with blocking time of (15.32 ± 7.12) min and blood loss of (188.63 ± 66.37) mL. The postoperative complications included pleural effusion in 5 patients and incision infection in one patients. Conclusions Three-dimensional visualization technology for the individualized diagnosis and treatment of hepatic hemangioma helps reduce surgical trauma and incidence of postoperative complications.
