[Objective] To observe levels of plasma endothelin (ET) and calcitonin gene - related peptide (CGRP) in rats with myocardial hypertrophic heart failure affected by Yang Xin Kang (composed of Radix Ginseng, Radix Ophio-pogonis, Radix flicis Pubescetis, etc.) and its mechanism. [Methods] Rat models with myocardial hypertrophic heart failure was established by subcutaneous injection of isoprenaline for 13 days. Fifty rats were allocated to five groups: normal control (Group A), model (Group B), digoxin (Group C), high dosage of Yang Xin Kang (Group D) and low dosage of Yang Xin Kang (Group E). ET and CGRP levels were measured by radioimmunoassay method. [Results] ET level in Group B was higher and CGRP level lower than those in Group A (P

[Objective] To investigate the effect of Bao Xin Kang (BXK) on levels of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cGMP) and cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cAMP) in vascular smooth muscle of rats with myocatdial hypertrophic heart failure and to explore its mechanism. [Methods] Fifty rats were randomly allocated to five groups: normal control group (Group A) , model group (Group B) , digoxin group (Group C), large - dose BXK group (Group D) and small - dose BXK group (Group E). Rat models with myocardial hypertrophic heart failure were established by subcutaneous injection of isoprenaline for 13 days. Radioimmunoassay was used to measure the levels of cAMP, cGMP and the ratio of cAMP/cGMP in vascular smooth muscle. The body weight and the weight of heart, liver and lung were measured and his-tomorphologic features of heart, liver and lung also examined. [Results] The levels of cAMP and cGMP and the heart index (heart weight /body weight) and the liver index (liver weight/body weight) in Group B were increased as compared with those in Group A (P

AIM:To investigate the ability of a metal complex ammonium tetrathiomolybdate (ATTM) to re-lease H2 S and its cytoprotective effect on an oxidative injury model .METHODS:Released H2 S was absorbed in a reaction flask from ATTM dissolved in the cell medium .Staining with dichlorodihydrofluorescein diacetate or rhodamine 123 fol-lowed by photofluorography was conducted for the observation of reactive oxygen species ( ROS) and mitochondrial mem-brane potential (ΔΨm) levels, respectively.Cell viability and release of lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) from the cells were measured with commercial kits.RESULTS:Similar to another H2S donor GYY4137, ATTM had an ability to release H2S in the cell medium in a dose-dependent manner .Treatment of human skin HaCaT cells with ATTM at concentrations of 25~400 μmol/L didn’ t significantly alter cell viability .Exposure of the cells to ultraviolet rays or a ROS donor H 2 O2 in-creased the intracellular ROS levels .Treatment with 400 μmol/L H2 O2 significantly reduced the viability of HaCaT cells (P<0.01).However, before the treatment with H2O2, pretreatment with ATTM at 100 and 200 μmol/L markedly pre-vented the H2O2-induced cell injury (P<0.01).In addition, the treatment with H2O2 triggeredΔΨm loss (P<0.01) and LDH release from the cells (P<0.01).Prior to suffering from H2O2 injury, the preconditioning with 200 μmol/L ATTM significantly improved ΔΨm levels ( P<0.05 ) and attenuated LDH release from the cells ( P<0.01 ) .CONCLUSION:ATTM is capable of releasing H 2 S and protecting human skin cells against oxidative injury .

Objective To evaluate the surgical techniques and clinical efficacy of retroperitoneoscopic ligation of renal lymphatic vessels outside adipose capsule and inside adipose capsule for comparison in the treatment of chyluria. Methods Retrospective anal-ysis of the retroperitoneal laparoscopic adipose capsule of kidney pedicle lymphatic duct ligation(group Ⅰ)and adipose capsule pathways in the kidney totally or subtotally free renal pedicle lymphatic ligation(group Ⅱ)and 1 1 1 patients with chyluria clinical data, compared two groups of operation time, bleeding volume, the rate of analgesia, postoperative gastrointestinal function recovery time, drainage time, postoperative recovery time, postoperative hospital stay and postoperative complications and other index differ-ence.Results Retroperitoneal laparoscopic operation group of adipose capsule in operation time, bleeding volume, postoperative an-algesia,postoperative gastrointestinal function recovery time, drainage time, postoperative recovery time, postoperative hospital stay and postoperative complications were better than the adipose capsule of kidney totally or subtotally free operation group, the differ-ence was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Retroperitoneal laparoscopic renal adipose capsule of kidney pedicle lym-phatic disconnection for the treatment of chyluria effect, and adipose capsule operation ways, the method less trauma, quicker recov-ery,can completely replace the renal adipose capsule total or Sub-total of free kidney pedicle lymphatic disconnection operation,wor-thy of clinical application.

Objective To investigate the regulation of T cells in the process of liver regeneration using a model of mice after 70% liver resection. Methods We performed 70% hepatectomy in T-cell-deficient mice and control mice. The liver mass and body mass ratio, BrdU infiltration level, proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA),expression of M phase marker protein p-HDAC3, and serum transaminase levels were measured. Results The recovery of liver mass and body mass ratio of thymus-deficient mice occurred significantly later than that of control mice. The peak time of BrdU infiltration levels and the expression of PCNA and p-HDAC3 in T-cell-deficient mice were later than in control mice, but the degree of liver injury was lower. Conclusion T cells are involved in the regulation of liver regeneration, and the absence of T cells delays the process of liver regeneration.
