Objective To understand the situation of occupational health monitoring status of medical radiation workers in radiation diagnosis and treatment institutions, to provide reference for the evaluation of radiation protection measures as well as for the health supervision/inspection agencies, and to maximize the protection of occupational health rights of medical workers in radiation diagnosis and treatment. Methods Questionnaires were distributed then collected in the radiation diagnosis and treatment institutions in Qinzhou. The data were analyzed afterwards. Results A total of 850 medical radiation workers were recruited from 101 institutions that had obtained the radiation diagnosis and treatment license in Qinzhou. Among them, the physical examination rate of radiation diagnosis and treatment staff was 96.94%, the personal dosimeter monitoring rate was 93.41%, the training rate of radiation protection and legal knowledge was 94.12%, and the monitoring rate of equipment performance stability was 51.49%. Conclusion The occupational health monitoring of radiation workers in high-level institutions relatively meets the standard, and the management of occupational health monitoring in township hospitals, private hospitals and dental clinics is not satisfactory. The monitoring rate of radiation equipment performance in the whole city is generally low. Health supervision and law enforcement departments should strengthen law enforcement, urge the institutions to conduct radiation occupational health monitoring in an orderly manner according to law, and protect the health rights/interests of radiation diagnosis and treatment workers to the maximum extent.

Abstract: Objective To further investigate the underreporting of mortality surveillance data among permanent residents in Hainan Province in 2020, and to explore the application of Application of the Analysis of National Causes of Death for Action (ANACONDA) in the quality analysis of mortality surveillance. Methods The data were collected from the Death Information Monitoring and Management System of Hainan Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and mainly included 33 418 deaths reported from 19 cities and counties in Hainan Province from January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020. All the data were analyzed by the application of ANACONDA, and the causes of death were classified by the International Classification of Diseases, 10th Revision (ICD-10). Results A total of 33 418 deaths were reported in Hainan Province in 2020, with a crude mortality rate of 3.6‰. The proportion of deaths in males under 85 years old was higher than that in females, while the proportion of deaths in 85 years old and above was opposite. The quality analysis of cause of death surveillance showed that there was under-reporting of death surveillance in Hainan Province in 2020, with an under-reporting rate of 30.1%. There were differences in the age composition and GBD regional composition ratio of deaths of the three major categories of diseases, and the misreporting of causes of death in the middle and high age groups was more significant. The Vital Statistics Performance Index (VSPI) score of death data in Hainan Province in 2020 was 52.8, the score of cause of death reporting quality was 85.5, and the score of specific cause of death level that could be used was 88.4. The completeness of death reports in the priority action areas for improving cause of death data quality accounted for the largest share, followed by the quality of cause of death reports. There was a difference in the proportion of specific causes of death between males and females after the survey, but the change in order was not obvious. Conclusions The data integrity of cause-of-death surveillance is low in Hainan Province in 2020. It is suggested to improve the completeness of reporting data, strengthen the training of cause-of-death surveillance system, and regularly evaluate and supervise the system.

Chinese Journal of Contemporary Pediatrics 2010;12(3):215-218
OBJECTIVETo study the expression of stromal cell derived factor-1(SDF-1) and CXC chemokine receptor 4 (CXCR4) in the airway and the effect of budesonide on their expression in mice with asthma.
METHODSThirty BALB/c male mices were randomly divided into three groups: placebo control, untreated asthma, and budesonide-treated asthma. The asthma group were induced by intraperitoneal injection of 10% ovalbumin (OVA ) on days 1, 8 and 15, and then from days 22 to 34, challenged by inhalation of 2% OVA aerosol every other day. The budesonide-treated asthma group received an inhalation of budesonide (1 mg ) before OVA challenge. The pathological changes of the airway were assessed by hematoxylin and eosin staining. The immunohistochemistry was used to estimate the expression of SDF-1 in the lung. RT-PCR was used to evaluate the expression of CXCR4 in the lung.
RESULTSCompared with the control group, SDF-1 and CXCR4 expression in the lung in the untreated asthma group increased significantly (p<0.05). The budesonide-treated asthma group demonstrated significantly decreased SDF-1 (0.426+/-0.052 vs 0.361+/-0.065; p<0.05) and CXCR4 (0.829+/-0.027 vs 0.723+/-0.094; p<0.05) expression in the lung as compared with the untreated asthma group. Both SDF-1 (r=0.744, p<0.01) and CXCR4 (r=0.553, p<0.01)were positively correlated with the thickness of the airway wall.
CONCLUSIONSSDF-1 and CXCR4 may be associated with airway remodeling in mice with asthma. Budesonide can improve airway remodeling, possibly by decreasing the expression of SDF-1 and CXCR4.

Chinese Journal of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine 2012;32(7):965-969
OBJECTIVETo observe the expressions of Wnt/beta-catenin and the effects of tanshinone IIA (TII A) on Wnt/beta-catenin signaling pathway in high glucose induced renal tubular epithelial cell transdifferentiation.
METHODSHuman kidney proximal tubular epithelial cells (HK-2) were divided into three groups, i. e., the normal glucose group, the high glucose group, and the high glucose plus tanshinone IIA group. The expression of beta-catenin was observed using immunocytochemical staining. The protein expression of beta-catenin, E-cadherin, and alpha-smooth muscle actin (alpha-SMA) were detected by Western blot. The mRNA levels of beta-catenin and E-cadherin were detected by RT-PCR.
RESULTSCompared with the normal glucose group, both the protein and the mRNA expressions of beta-catenin were significantly enhanced (P < 0.01), the expression of E-cadherin significantly decreased (P < 0.01), the expression of beta-catenin increased in the cytoplasm and nucleus in the high glucose group. TIIA at the final concentration of 100 micromol/L significantly reduced the ectopic expression of beta-catenin. At that concentration, the protein and mRNA expressions of beta-catenin in the nucleus significantly decreased, while the protein and mRNA expressions of E-cadherin were up-regulated. Meanwhile, the expression of alpha-SMA obviously decreased.
CONCLUSIONSWnt/beta-catenin signaling pathway participated in the high glucose induced renal tubular epithelial cell transdifferentiation. TIIA inhibited the transdifferentiation process possibly through down-regulating the activities of Wnt/beta-catenin signaling pathway, thus further playing a role in renal protection.

To explore a new method for identification of Mongolian patent medicine (MPM) by PCR amplification of specific alleles. Eight kinds of MPM were used to study the identification of "Digeda" raw materials. The total DNA of Lomatogonium rotatum and Corydalis bungeana samples were extracted through modified CTAB method, psbA-trnH sequence was amplified by PCR and sequenced directionally. Specific primer was designed. The DNA of 8 kinds of MPM also was extracted and purified by the commercial DNA purification kits. The rbcL and two pair of specific primers sequences were amplified. The specific amplified products were sequenced in forward directions. All specific sequences were aligned and were analyzed. The results indicated that L rotatum can be identified by specific primers from Digeda-4 Tang, Digeda-8 San, Digeda-4 San, and C. bungeana medicinal materials can be identified by specific primers from Li Dan Ba Wei San, Yi He Ha Ri-12 and A Ga Ri-35. PCR amplification of specific alleles can stably and accurately distinguish raw medicinal materials in MPM.
