The clinical prescriptions of hemoptysis that built by Menghe physician Ma Peizhi were collected, and were analyzed by the method of unsupervised data mining, such as association rules and clustering algorithm. From the prescriptions, we got the frequency of drugs, the association rules among drugs, 10 core drug combinations and 5 new prescriptions. Accordingly, after the analysis, Menghe physician Ma Peizhi had rich experience in the treatment of hemoptysis. His therapy for hemoptysis was clearing heat and moistening lung, dispel heat from blood to stop bleeding, and enriching yin and blood. And we can also make a conclusion that the TCM inheritance support system is of great practical value for minning the old doctors' clinical experiences.

Objective:To research the solubilization of sulfobutyl ether-β-cyclodextrin ( SEB-β-CD) on voriconazole and the sta-bility of voriconazole with different pH values. Methods:Phase-solubility diagram was applied to study the solubilization of SEB-β-CD on voriconazole. Meanwhile, the impurity of voriconazole was determined to study the stability. Results:SBE-β-CD could increase the solubility of voriconazole significantly and the apparent stability constant was similar within the pH range of 5. 0-8. 0. The stability of voriconazole was decreased with the increase of pH. Conclusion:SEB-β-CD is an ideal solubilizer for voriconazole, while the stability is influenced by pH.

Analyzed the prescriptions for phlegm retention syndrome that built by Ma Peizhi by the association rules and clustering algorithm, the frequency of drug usage and the relationship between drugs could be get. And from that we could conclude the experiences for phlegm retention syndrome of Ma Peizhi of menghe medical genre. The results of the analysis were that 18 core combinations were dig out, such as Citri Exocarpium Rubrum-Eriobotryae Folium-Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium. And there were 9 new prescriptions were found out such as Aurantii Fructus-Citri Exocarpium Rubium-Eriobotryae Folium-Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium. The results of the analysis were proved that Ma Peizhi of Menghe Medical Genre was good at curing phlegm retention syndrome by using the traditional Chinese medicine of mild and light, such as the medicines of mild tonification, and clearing damp and promoting diuresis.

Objective To investigate the relationship between serum adiponectin and metabolic syndrome(MS) in children and adolescents with obesity and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).Methods Four elementary schools and 4 middle schools were selected from Haidian district in Beijing with representative cluster sampling.Two hundred and eighty obese children(obese group),65 obese children with NAFLD(NAFLD group) and 264 normal weight children(healthy control group) aged 7 to 18 years were recruited from the 8 schools with uncompletely randomized sampling.Data including questionnaire,anthropometric measurements,B type ultrasonographic examination for liver were collected and fasting blood laboratory assay were determined.Variables including triglyceride(TG),adiponectin,alanine aminotransferase(ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase(AST) were skewed distribution and natural logarithmical transformations were performed.Chi-square test for category and multiple binary Logistic regression analysis were used to statistical analysis.Results Body mass index(BMI) and waist circumference(WC) in obese group and NAFLD group were higher than those in healthy control group.All the chi-square tests for trend among the 3 groups were statistically significant(P

This study examined the effect of saponins from Tupistra chinensis Bak (STCB) on the growth of sarcoma S-180 cells in vitro and in mouse xenografts as well as the underlying mechanisms.Cell proliferation was assessed by MTT assay.Cell cycle distribution was determined by flow cytometry.Sarcoma S-180 tumor-bearing mice were treated with different doses of STCB with 10 μg/mL 5-fluorouracil (5-Fu) as a positive control.The activity of nuclear factor (NF)-κB was detected by gel mobility shift assay.The mRNA level of NF-κB was determined by real-time quantitative RT-PCR.The results showed that in vitro STCB inhibited the growth of S-18 0 cells in a concentration-dependent manner,which was accompanied by cell cycle arrest at S-phase.In vivo STCB significantly inhibited the growth of S-180 tumor mouse xenografts in a dose-dependent manner with apparent induction of cell apoptosis.Moreover,STCB inhibited the activity of NF-κB p65 and reduced the expression of NF-κB p65 mRNA in mouse xenografts.It was concluded that STCB inhibits the proliferation and cell cycle progression of S-180 cells by suppressing NF-κB signaling in mouse xenografts.Our findings suggest STCB is a promising agent for the treatment of sarcoma.

OBJECTIVETo study whether combined detection of the methylation status of vimentin, sFRP1, and HPP1 gene can increase the positive methylation rate in colorectal cancer.

METHODSTissue samples were collected from 90 patients with colorectal cancer, 60 patients with adenomatous polyp, and 20 healthy controls. DNA was extracted and the methylation status of vimentin, sFRP1, and HPP1 gene was detected by Methylation-specific PCR (MSP). The relationship between clinicopathologic features of colorectal cancer and gene methylation was analyzed.

RESULTSThe methylation rates of vimentin, sFRP1, and HPP1 were 66.7%, 68.9%, and 72.2% in colorectal cancer, 53.3%, 55.0%, and 50.0% in colorectal adenomas, and 0, 0, and 5.0% in healthy controls, respectively. The methylation of each of the three genes in colorectal cancer tissues was higher than colorectal adenomas and healthy controls(P<0.05). The diagnostic sensitivity by combining three methylation markers was 93.3% in colorectal cancer, 76.7% in colorectal adenomas, which was higher than the sensitivity using single gene testing(P<0.05). No significant associations existed between the methylation status of the three genes and clinical characteristics including sex, age, tumor location, lymph node metastases, distant metastasis, and TNM stage(P>0.05).

CONCLUSIONSDNA methylation levels of vimentin, sFRP1 and HPP1 are significantly higher in colorectal cancer tissue. Combined detection significantly improves the positive rate of methylation, and may be used as early diagnosis method for colorectal cancer.

ObjectiveTo explore the effect of community based rehabilitation on chronic schizophrenia. Methods60 patients of chronic schizophrenia were randomly divided into the community based rehabilitation group (the study group) and the inpatients group (the control group). The study used prospective design for 1 year with brief psychiatric rating scale (BPRS),nurses' observation scale for inpatients evaluation (NOSIE) and social disability screening schedule (SDSS).ResultsCompared with the control group at the end of 6 month and 1 year, scores of BPRS, NOSIE and SDSS in the study group were significantly different (P<0.05-P<0.001). The relapse rate of the study group (0%) also lowered than that of the control group( 20%).ConclusionsCommunity based rehabilitation therapy can control the chronic schizophrenia effectively. It also promotes the life quality and social function of patients, and lowers the relapse rate significantly. It is an important rehabilitation method for chronic schizophrenia.

OBJECTIVETo select an effective way to enhance vigor of Prunella vulgaris seeds.

METHODThree population seeds were treated at the 20 degrees C and dark enviroment.

RESULTPriming with 20% - 30% PEG and 200 - 400 mg x L(-1) GA3 could enhance seeds germination and vigor. Germination percentage of three population seeds treated with 0. 6% - 3.0% NaCl reduced, but they started to germinate in advance. Treated with 0.6% - 2.4% KNO3-KH2PO4, germination rate and vigor of seeds in Zijinshan and Pan' an both increased and the one in Bozhou decreased.

CONCLUSIONVigor of P. vulgaris seed treated with PEG and GA3 under proper concentration increases, while treated with KNO3-KH2PO, and NaCl low vigor seeds germination rate reduces.

OBJECTIVETo observe the effects of huatan jiangqi capsule (HJC) on the expression levels and functions of multi-drug resistance-associated protein 1 (MRP1) in the bronchial epithelial cells of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) model rats, and to explore the mechanism of HJC for treating COPD.

METHODSTwenty-four male wistar rats were randomly divided into the normal control group, the model group, and HJC group. Except the normal control group, the COPD rat model was established in the rest groups using quantitative stimulation with tobacco, SO2, and caroid aerosol rebreathing method. The indices of the post-treatment lung functions, the cell counts of bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF), the pathological features of the lung tissue were observed. The concentration of LTC, in lung tissues was also examined by ELISA. The expression of MRP1 of the pulmonary tracheal epithelium was detected using immunohistochemical assay.

RESULTS(1) The pulmonary compliance, the forced expiratory volume at 0. 3 second (FEV 0.3%)/the forced vital capacity (FVC), the peak expiratory flow, the maximum mid expiratory flow decreased more significantly in the model group than in the normal control group (P < 0.05). The aforesaid pulmonary function indices obviously increased in the HJC group when compared with the model group (P < 0.05). (2) The air inflammation was aggravated with obvious emphysema in the model group. The inflammation and emphysema occurred in the HJC group in a milder degree. (3) Compared with the normal control group, the levels of LTC4 significantly increased in the lung tissue of the model group and HJC group (P < 0.01). Compared with the model group, the levels of LTC4 significantly decreased in the lung tissues of the HJC group (P < 0.05). (4) Compared with the normal control group, the protein expression of the bronchial epithelial MRP1 significantly decreased in the model group (P < 0.01). Compared with the model group, the protein expression of the bronchial epithelial MRP1 were significantly enhanced in the HJC group (P < 0.05).

CONCLUSIONHJC could effectively alleviate the lung inflammation, postpone the occurrence and development of COPD possibly through effecting the functions and expressions of MRP1 in COPD rats.
