Synergetic effects for p-nitrophenol degradation were observed in the ozonation with ultrasonic enhancement. The enhancements of removal rate for p-nitrophenol and TOC were around 116% and 294% respectively in comparison with the individual ultrasound and ozonation systems. The synergetic phenomenon is attributed to two physicochemical mechanisms: (1)Ultrasound decomposes ozone causing augmentation of the activity of free radicals; (2) Ultrasonic wave increased the concentration of O3 in solution because of ultrasonic dispersion.

The effectiveness and safety of acupuncture for the treatment of supraventricular tachycardia were systematically reviewed. The randomized controlled trials (RCTs) regarding acupuncture for supraventricular tachycardia were searched in domestic and overseas databases, and the evaluation tool of bias risk in Cochrane Handbook 5.1.0 software was used to perform the evaluation of bias risk in literature, and RevMan 5.2 software was applied for statistics and Meta-analysis. Five RCTs involving 323 patients were included. The results showed that compared with the blank control group, the acupuncture reduced the heart rate by 18.8 times/min [95% CI (12.68, 24.92)]; the clinical effective rate in the acupuncture group was superior to that in the diltiazem group [OR= 3.11, 95% CI (1.50, 6.46)]; the difference of immediate effect between propafenone and acupuncture was not significant. No reports regarding adverse events was described in 5 RCTs. As was shown in the present evidence, acupuncture is safe and effective for the treatment of supraventricular tachycardia, but the level of evidence was low and the intensity of conclusion needed to be improved.

The aimed of this study was to prepare stabilized thiomers to overcome the poor stability character of traditional thiomers. Poly(acrylic acid)-cysteine (PAA-Cys) was synthesized by conjugating cysteine with poly(acrylic acid) and poly(acrylic acid)-cysteine-6-mercaptonicotinic acid (PAA-Cys-6MNA, stabilized thiomers) was synthesized by grafting a protecting group 6-mercaptonicotinic acid (6MNA) with PAA-Cys. The free thiol of PAA-Cys was determined by Ellmann's reagent method and the ratio of 6MNA coupled was determined by glutathione reduction method. The study of permeation enhancement and stabilized function was conducted by using Franz diffusion cell method, with fluorescein isothiocyanate dextran (FD4) used as model drug. The influence of polymers on tight junctions of Caco-2 cell monolayer was detected with laser scanning confocal fluorescence microscope. The results indicated that both PAA-Cys and PAA-Cys-6MNA could promote the permeation of FD4 across excised rat intestine, and the permeation function of PAA-Cys-6MNA was not influence by the pH of the storage environment and the oxidation of air after the protecting group 6MNA was grafted. The distribution of tight junction protein of Caco-2 cell monolayer F-actin was influenced after incubation with PAA-Cys and PAA-Cys-6MNA. In conclusion, stabilized thiomers (PAA-Cys-6MNA) maintained the permeation function compared with the traditional thiomers (PAA-Cys) and its stability was improved. The mechanism of the permeation enhancement function of the polymers might be related to their influence on tight junction relating proteins of cells.

Study the serum level of HGF, Cys C and TGF-beta1 in type 2 diabetic nephropathy (DN), the infect of Pingshen decoction on those index. Selected 69 cases of 2 type DN and randomly divided into therapy group (36 cases) and control group (33 cases). The therapy group were treated with Pingshen decoction 1 dose/d, bid po. The control group were treated with NephritisShu tablet, 6 tablet, tid po. 8 weeks was a course. Before and after treatment, we examine the serum level of HGF, Cys C and TGF-beta1 by ELISA and immunonephelometry, and compare with 30 cases of healthy control group. The study demonstrates that before treatment, the serum level of HGF in both groups were significantly lower than healthy control group (P < 0.01), but Cys C, TGF-beta1 were significantly higher (P < 0.01). After treatment, the serum level of HGF of both groups were increased. The serum level of HGF of therapy group were significantly higher than of control group (P < 0.01), but the serum level of Cys C and TGF-beta1 were significantly lower than control group (P < 0.01). The serum level of HGF was correlated negatively with Cys C,TGF-beta1. In control group, the UAER, urine beta2-MG and quantity of 24-hour urine protein were significantly decreased after treatment (P < 0.01). The index of urine of therapy group were significantly lower than control group (P < 0.01). Results indicate that test of serum level of HGF and Cys C,TGF-beta1 of diabetic nephropathy have important clinical significance. Pingshen decoction can effectively intervene in the serum level of HGF and Cys C, TGF-beta1 and index of urine.

Background Lacrimal gland pleomorphic adenoma (LGPA) is the most common epithelialneoplasms of the lacrimal glands.Though its histopathological feature is benign,recurrence and malignant transition iscommon.The histopathologica feature of LGPA vary and resemble other lacrimal gland tumors.Objective Thissurvey was to explore the histopathological features of different subtypes of LGPA and their relationships with tumorrecurrence,and improve the knowledge of histopathological characteristics of LGPA.Methods A retrospectivestudy of 181 consecutive cases pathologically diagnosed as LGPA during 1966- 2010 years was performed toinvestigate the clinical and histopathological characteristics.Results One hundred and eighty-one LGPAs wereclassified as cell-rich type in 90(49.7％ ),stroma-rich type in 38 cases(21％ ),and intermediate type in 53 cases(29.3％ ).91.7％ of all tumors showed areas with thin( ＜20 μm) capsules independent of the tumor subtype.Tumorsof stroma-rich subtype showed greater thin-capsule regions.86.5％ recurrent LGPAs belonged to stroma-rich subtype(x2 =120.896,P =0.000 ),which had a higher rate of pseudopodia or satellite nodules in the capsules than other twosubtypes did(x2 =80.715,P =0.000 ).Cuboidal cells were the most commonly found cellular type followed bysquamous cells.Duct-like structures were the most frequent patterns formed mainly by epithelial cells.Myxoid stromawas the most frequently found mesenchymal-like tissue.Conclusions The tendency of recurrence and invadationof capsule may contributed to the high recurrence rate in stroma-rich type of LGPAs.The knowledge of the immensevariety of cells,architectures and morphological characteristics of LGPA are essential for a correction of pathologicaldiagnosis.

Objective To set a rapid,simple gene diagnosis method for Down syndrome.Methods Three short tandem repeats(D21S11,D21S1270,D21S1437)loci in or near Down syndrome critical region(DSCR) were analyzed and detected by polymerase chain reaction and DNA quantitative analysis in 11 core ancestry.Results There were four types by DNA quantitative analysis to different individuals at a short tandem repeats(STR) locus.In type one,a homozygote of one allelic gene was detected.In type two,a normal heterozygote of two allelic genes was found,the content or two DNA electrophoresis bands was approximately 1∶1.In type three,a Down syndrome patient of two allelic genes was discovered.The quantity of two electrophoresis bands was nearly 2∶1.In type four,the patient showed three DNA electrophoresis bands which the content was approximately 1∶1∶1.Conclusion A rapid gene diagnosis and prenatal diagnosis method for Down syndrome can be used for quantitative analysis of STR polymorphism loci.

Objective Genetic analysis was performed to infer the relationship between hantaviruses carried by Rattus norvegicus from Henan and Neimenggu provinces and the other known hantavirus and the vaccine strain. Methods Total RNA was extracted from lung tissues with Trizol reagent. The complete M and S segment sequences of strains NM133 and Q12 were amplified by RT-PCR. The purified DNA fragments were directly subjected to sequencing, and then to sequence analysis and phylogenetic analysis. Results The complete S segment sequences of strains NM133 and Q12 were found to be 1770 nt and 1772 nt in length respectively, with one open reading frame encoding 429 amino acids. The complete M segment sequences of both two strains are 3654 nucleotide in length encoding a protein of 1133 amino acids. The two strains shared a high degree of homology with most of known Seoul virus (SEOV) but quite different from Hantaan virus and other hantaviruses. Furthermore, the nucleoprotein and glycoprotein of the two strains had the congruent structure with the vaccine strain Z37. On the S- and M-phylogenetic trees, both strains (NM133 and Q12) were grouped into the first cluster of SEOV, and were more closely related to the strains, such as: Hb8610, R22, HB55, L99, and K24-e7. Conclusion Both strains (NM133 and Q12) belonged to SEOV, and sharing a high degree of homology and similar secondary structure with strains including the vaccine strains Z37, our data suggested that the present vaccine used in China could effectively prevent HFRS caused by SEOV.

Objective To investigate public network attention to air pollution and their desire to prevent haze. Methods Daily Air Quality Index(AQI) and PM_2.5 concentration data and daily Baidu Index data were obtained in 31 provinces of China from January 1^st, 2015 to December 31^st, 2017.The Baidu indexes of air pollution and its protection were used to compose public′s network attention index for analysis on its spatial distribution in the 31 provinces and for linear regression research on air pollution, its protection and its network attention impact factors. Results With Baidu search index, it was noted that the network attention to air pollution was significantly higher than to air pollution protection.And a significant difference was found in the public network attention to air pollution between different provinces.It was found that education and consumption level of residents significantly affected public network attention to air pollution, while AQI and consumption level of residents significantly affected public network attention to air pollution hazards protection behaviors. Conclusions Even though the public has already paid high attention to air pollution, the awareness of air pollution hazards protection behaviors is still weak.Well-designed education campaigns are needed to enhance public awareness of air pollution and motivate the public to take actions to reduce pollution air exposure, especially in those provinces with a high AQI and PM_2.5concentration.
