Chinese Journal of Virology 2014;30(2):188-192
Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV) is a pathogenic mosquito-borne flavivirus which is responsible for outbreaks of severe viral encephalitis. The cellular entry of JEV is a prerequisite for Japanese encephalitis, so the understanding of its underlying mechanisms will provide more approaches for treating such disease. In recent years, increasing research has been conducted to investigate the mechanisms of cellular entry of JEV, and the results of research on other flavivirus have expanded the research directions for JEV. More methods will be used to suppress JEV infection because of the development of E protein antibodies and the discovery of several inhibitors of the cellular entry process. This review will summarize the recent advances in the mechanisms of JEV cellular entry and membrane fusion.

China Biotechnology 2006;0(05):-
Orange peel was used as lowcost adsorbent in binding of Methylene Blue. The effects of equilibrium time,pH,dye concentration have been studied.Carboxyl, amine and phosphonate functional groups were present in the orange peel. The equilibrium time was 1 hour, the maximum adsorption capacities of the orange peel was 370.3?31.0 mg/g at pH 10.The Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms were well fitted in this biosorption system. Results showed relatively higher rate constant and biosorption capacities. These adsorption performance indicate the orange peel as a potentially economical adsorbent for dye removal.

Objective The purpose of the study was to develop an instrument to measure nursing professional values held by Chinese nurses. Methods 381 nurses were enrolled for the survey on their professional values by the draft of nursing professional values assessment tool(NPVAT).With the item analysis, such as dispersion degree, correlation efficient, discriminability, alpha coefficients index and exploratory factor analysis, the items were selected. Results As a result of the item analysis, the final version of NPVAT was composed of 20 items selected from a total of 32 items.Exploratory factor analysis resulted in a four-factor solution explaining 51.99% of the common variance.Conculsions The NPVAT developed in this research can be used for measuring the nursing professional values among nurses.

Chinese Journal of Geriatrics 2001;0(05):-
Objective To evaluate the changes of the activation and proliferation of rat cardiac fibroblasts in infarcted and non-infarcted regions. Methods The model of myocardial infarction (AMI)was developed through the ligation of anterior descending branch of left coronary artery. After 24 hours, the survived 114 rats were randomly assigned to the following 2 groups:(1)AMI group (n=57);(2)telmisartan treatment group(n=57).And a sham-operated group(n=32)was used asa control. All groups were terminated at day 4,7,14,28,respectively(n=10,12,15,20).At the end of the study, heart rate(HR),blood pressure (BP),ventricle relative weight (ventricle weight/body weight,VW/BW) and survival rate were measured, and the activation and proliferation of fibroblast and collagen volume fraction (CVF) were assessed. Results (1)The 28 day accumulated survival rate for treatment group was lower than that for AMI group (P

Objective To explore the therapeutic mechanism of kidney-reinforcing,blood-activating and phlegmresolving therapy for left ventricular fibrosis of spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR).Methods Twenty SHR were randomly assigned to Chinese medicine group and model group.Additionally, ten Wistar-Kyoto(WKY) rats served as normal control group. After 12-week prevention,Masson staining method was used to measure the degree of fibrosis of left ventricular myocardial tissues, reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) was used to detect Smad3 mRNA expression, and Western blotting method was used for the detection of Smad3 protein expression. Results The degree of left ventricular fibrosis myocardial tissue in Chinese medicine group was milder than that in the model group, and Samd3 protein and mRNA expression levels in Chinese medicine group were lower than those in the model group (P < 0.05).Conclusion Kidney-reinforcing,blood-activating and phlegmresolving therapy can improve left ventricular fibrosis in SHR by inhibiting Smad3 expression.

Objective To investigate the syndrome types of traditional Chinese medicine ( TCM) in senile hypertension patients by cluster analysis. Methods Case report sheet for senile hypertension was formed, and then the general data and TCM syndrome information of 495 cases of senile hypertension were recorded. The frequency of syndrome information of the enrolled cases was analyzed, and then the syndrome types were classified by cluster analysis. Results The symptoms with high frequency in senile hypertension patients were dizziness ( 75.9%) , insomnia ( 33.1%) , chest distress ( 29.9%) , poor appetite ( 23.2%) , headache (22.4%), slippery pulse (54.9%), greasy fur (51.7%), stringy pulse (49.7%), and white fur (47.8%) . The main syndrome patterns of 495 cases of senile hypertension were upward hyperactivity of liver yang (23.8%), Qi deficiency and phlegm turbidity (21%), kidney qi deficiency (19.8%), phlegm blended with blood stasis (18.4%), and phlegm heat (17.0%) . Conclusion Senile hypertension patients are dominated with the syndrome types of upward hyperactivity of liver yang, Qi deficiency and kidney deficiency, and are usually complicated with phlegm turbidity, phlegm heat and blood stasis. The complicated syndromes of phlegm turbidity and blood stasis are commonly-seen. The results of cluster analysis are expected to supply evidence for the syndrome differentiation of senile hypertension.

Objective To find the best time to remeasure temperature after cooling with evidence-based practice. Methods Used Johns Hopkins′ Evidence Based Practice Tool to find the best time to remeasure temperature after cooling. That tool included three steps which were establish problem, evidence synthesis and transfer evaluation. Results The best time to remeasure temperature after physical cooling was 30 minutes. The best time to remeasure temperature after drug cooling was 60 minutes. The best time to remeasure temperature after physical and drug combination cooling was 30 minutes after physical cooling and 60 minutes after using drug. Conclusion The best time to remeasure temperature after cooling was different because of the different cooling methods.

Objective To discuss the optimalselection of the puncture path in performing CT-guided pericardial drainage, and to evaluate its clinical feasibility and safety. Methods A total of 114 patients with pericardial effusion, who were admitted to authors' hospital during the period from May 2013 to March 2016,were enrolledin this study. The appropriate body position and suitable needle-puncturing route were selected, and CT-guided pericardial drainage with Seldinger'stechnique was performed. Results Successful puncturing and catheter drainage was obtained in all 114 patients,no any serious complication occurred. The time used for manipulation was 18-30 min. Conclusion The use of right puncture path is of great importance for the performance of CT-guided pericardial drainage for pericardial effusion, this technique is highly feasible and safe for relieving the clinical symptoms of pericardial tamponade.
