Objective To explore the correlation of empowerment with illness perception among inpatients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Method The convenience sampling method was used to investigate the status of empowerment and illness perception among 102 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus from October 2014 to July 2015, followed by analyzing the association between the two variables. Results The total score of empowerment was (4.00 ± 0.65), and the total score of illness perception was (38.00 ± 2 . 33 ) . The empowerment was positively correlated with illness perception ( P < 0 . 001 ) . The empowerment was positively correlated with the timeline, personal control, treatment control, illness concern and illness comprehensibility, respectively (all P<0.001). Conclusions The empowerment of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus is at a high level, and positively correlated with illness perception, more pronounced chronic nature, the better personal control and treatment control, a higher degree of concern about the disease and better personal understanding of the illness contributed to a higher degree of empowerment. Medical staff should evaluate the illness perception of the patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus regularly in the daily work so as to improve the illness perception , improve their empowerment and promote the patients′quality of life eventually.

Objective To study the feasibility and safety of measles vaccination in women of childbearing age and to understand the influence of measles vaccination on the fetal transmission measles antibody level of the infants.Methods From January 1,2012 to December 31,2012,600 women of childbearing age were included in this study.The measles IgG antibody was detected,then all participants were randomized according to the IgG level.The measles IgG antibody of participants in non-vaccinated group was detected predelivery in hospital by enzyme linked-immunosorbent assay (ELISA).That of participants in vaccinated group was detected 3 months after vaccination with measles mumps rubella combined vaccine and predelivery by ELISA.And measles nuclear protein fragment gene (measles virus nucleoprotein,MVN) in the blood was detected by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT PCR).A total of 368 participants gave birth within 2 years after vaccination,and 357 infants 8 months after birth were healthy.In non-vaccinated group,8 infants were diagnosed with measles within 8 months after birth.Finally,349 8-month infants were enrolled in the study,including 52 whose mothers in high antibody without vaccination group,65 whose mothers in high antibody with vaccination group,110 whose mothers in low antibody without vaccination group and 122 whose mothers in low antibody with vaccination group.The measles IgG antibody levels in the blood of all the 8-month infants were detected.Data were analyzed using t test,one-way ANOVA (Newman-Keuls was used for comparison between groups) and Pearson analysis.Results The measles IgG antibody level of expectant women in high antibody without vaccination group was significantly lower compared to that in high antibody with vaccination group ([268.5±74.9] IU/mL vs [578.3t208.1] IU/mL,Q=15.57,P＜0.01).That in low antibody without vaccination group was also significantly lower than low antibody with vaccination group ([169.4+42.3] IU/mL vs [584.7+195.8] IU/mL,Q=29.54,P＜0.01).The results of MVN RT-PCR after 3 months of vaccination showed no positive bands in all blood samples.Two of the expectant women in high antibody without vaccination group and one in low antibody without vaccination group were positive for MVN bands.Among 8-month infants,the levels of antibody in high antibody without vaccination group and high antibody with vaccination group were (106.3 ± 36.8) IU/mL and (291.8±86.5) IU/mL,respectively,which was statistically different (t=23.33,P＜0.01).Those in low antibody without vaccination group and low antibody with vaccination group were (87.1 ± 26.4) IU/mL and (274.0±72.5) IU/mL,respectively,which was statistically different (t =33.27,P＜0.01).The measles antibody level of expectant women was positively correlated with their 8-month infants (r=0.652,P＜0.01).All 8 infants who were diagnosed with measles were delivered by women without vaccination,and the measles infection rate of infants was significantly different between women with and without vaccination (P=0.002).Condusion It is feasible for women of childbearing age to receive measles vaccination,which can increase the measles IgG antibody level of both expectant women and their infants.

Objective Establish an overall performance evaluation index system for innovative medical devices transforming project,a major science and technology project in Zhejiang province.Methods The weight of indexes was calculated using Delphi method,analytic hierarchy process and weight of percentile method.Results A three-level performance evaluation index system was established.First level included 3 indexes,as condition index,process index and result index,with weight of 0.3401、0.4042 and 0.2557 respectively.Meanwhile,second level and third level included 13 and 38 indexes.Conclusions The index system provide a performance evaluation tool for the innovative medical devices transforming project.

AlM: To observe retinal hemodynamic influence of compound xueshuantong capsule on nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy ( NPDR) after laser photocoagulation.METHODS:A total of 41 patients (72 eyes) with NPDR after laser photocoagulation were enrolled in this study. They were all given compound xueshuantong capsule, and used color Doppler flow imaging for detection of retinal hemodynamics.
RESULTS: After treatment, patients with retinal blood perfusion significantly improved; central retinal arterial peak systolic velocity ( PSV ) , end - diastolic velocity (EDV) and medial velocity (Vm) were increased, while the resistance index ( Rl) decreased. The difference have statistical significance (P<0. 05). The visual acuity of 61 eyes improved, efficiency was 85%. Visual acuity was related with PSV, Vm and Rl.
CONCLUSlON: Compound xueshuantong capsule can improve retinal blood perfusion for nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy after laser photocoagulation, which is related to improvement of visual prognosis.

Objective To report a case of foot hyalohyphomycosis due to Fusarium subglutinans. Methods Medical history was collected and physical examination performed for this patient.Biopsy samples were obtained from the inner side of right ankle of this patient and subjected to pathological examination. Discharge was collected from the lesions for direct microscopic examination and culture.Results A 72-year-old woman presented with an ulcer on the right foot for 3 years.Physical examination disclosed an ulcer,measuring 3 cm x 1.5 cm,with a moist surface and obvious tenderness,at the inner side of the right ankle.Proliferation of dusky-red granulomatous tissue was observed at the base of the ulcer.Pathological examination revealed necrotic granulomatous tissue and slender,septate and hyaline hypha-like structure in the superficial dermis with scattered infiltration of inflammatory cells.PAS staining showed sausage-like hypha and scattered orbicular-ovate spores.Microscopic examination of lesional discharge exhibited septate, branching and hyaline hypha.The isolated fungus was identified as Fusarium subglutinans by culture,and appeared to be highly sensitive to terbinafine,nystatin and amphotericin B.The lesion completely healed after 2 months of treatment with oral terbinafine (0.25 g,twice a day).Conclusions This is a case of foot hyalohyphomycosis due to Fusarium subglutinans,and terbinafine is effective for this condition.

OBJECTIVETo establish a method to test citrinin (CIT) in monascus products by immuno-affinity chromatography (IAC)-high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), and to detect the content of CIT in monascus products in Fujian province.

METHODSIAC-HPLC was applied to detect the CIT content in monascus products. The conditions to use HPLC were as follows: C(18) reversed-phase chromatographic column, 150.0 mm×4.6mm×3 µm; mobile phase: the volume ratio of acetonitrile and 0.1% phosphoric acid solution at 65:35; isocratic elution; column temperature: 28°C; flow velocity: 0.8 ml/min; fluorescence detector, excitation wavelength (λ(ex)) was 331 nm and emission wavelength (λ(em)) was 500 nm. The standard curved was established by the linear regression of peak area (Y) to CIT content (X, ng/ml). The accuracy and precision of the method would then be verified. And 32 kinds of monascus products were determined and their color values were compared by this method.

RESULTThe standard curve established in this study was Y = 4634.8X-136.42, r = 1.000; whose limits of detection was 20 µg/kg and the limits of qualification was 64 µg/kg. In the range between 200 and 800 µg/kg, the standard recovery rate was 98.9% - 110.0% (n = 3), and the relative standard deviation (RSD) was 0.51% - 1.76%. Out of the 32 samples, CIT was detected from 11 samples of monascus rice, 9 samples of monascus powder and 5 samples of monascus pigments, the content was around 0.212 - 14.500 mg/kg. 4 out of 7 functional monascus samples were detected out CIT, whose content at 0.142 - 0.275 mg/kg.

CONCLUSIONThe method to detect CIT in monascus products by IAC-HPLC has been established.

Objective To detect the argyrophilic proteins in nucleolar organizer regions(Ag-NORs) that express rDNA and rRNA proliferation of T lymphocytes before chemotherapy and after complete remission(CR) in children with primary acute leukemia(AL).Methods The argyrophilic granules area of NOR/nuclear area(I.S%) of T lymphocytes was detected by image analysis system in peripheral blood of 42 patients before chemotherapy and after CR and 30 normal children.Results I.S% in the patients before chemotherapy(5.06%?1.36%) were significantly lower than those in the healthy donors(7.51%?1.06%)(t=8.238 P0.05).Conclusion These results suggest that decrease of Ag-NORs expresses the evidence for tumour induced suppression of immune function of T cells in children with AL prior to treatment.

Objective To study the relationship of hope level and social support of gastrointestinal cancer patients, and to investigate the effective measures to improve their hope. Methods Questionnaires were filled in by 201 gastrointestinal cancer patients and descriptive correlative study was used. Results The level of hope among those patients was from medium to high. Social support of gastrointestinal cancer patients was aignificantly higher than that of healthy people. Positively correlation was found between social support and level of hope of gastrointestinal cancer patient(r=0.154 ,P<0.05). Conclusions Social support was closely related to the level of hope of gastrointestinal cancer patients. Nurses should pay attention to the effect of social support system to improve their level of hope.
