Purpose　To investigate the diagnostic valuation of Gd-DTPA enhancement MRA in intracranial occuping and vescular diseases. Methods　Gd-DTPA MRA（63 cases）, MRA without Gd-DTPA（16 cases）as a control group was performed with Elscint Prestige 2.0T MR,MRA. 56 cases were proved by operation or pathology, 7 cases were proved by clinical observation. Results　The shape of aneurysms, the feeding arteries, the draining veins of AVM and diploe angioma, the feeding arteries of occuping were clearly showed by Gd-DTPA enhancement MRA and were not showed by MRA without Gd-DTPA.There wasn't much difference between cavernous angioma with Gd-DTPA enhancement MRA and MRA without Gd-DTPA in the shape and blood supply of cavernous angioma. Conclusion　Gd-DTPA enhancement MRA is useful and worthy for showing blood circulation of intracranial occuping and vascular diseases.

The status of anesthesia and psychotropic substances use for cancer pain control was analyzed in 355 cancer patients in Huanggu District of Shenyang City.The results revealed that patients aged 60 and above accounted for 62.8％ of the total; the 5 leading diseases were lung cancer ( 132 cases,37.2％ ),colorectal cancer (34 cases,9.6％ ),liver cancer (33 cases,9.3％ ),stomach cancer ( 31cases,8.7％ ) and pancreatic cancer (20 cases,5.6％ ).There was no significant difference in constituent ratio of disease categories in the last 4 years ( x2 =18.75,P ＞ 0.05 ).The daily oral dose of morphine sulphate was 60 - 200 mg with an effective rate of 91.5％ (325/355). The side effects including constipation,nausea,vomiting and itching can be effectively reduced by prophylactic medication.

AIM: To establish a HPLC method for determination of curcumol and germacrone in Zedoary Turmeric Oil and Glucose Injections. METHODS: RP-HPLC was applied for quantitative analysis of curcumol and germacrone. Hypersil ODS2 column (250 mm? 4.6 mm, 5 ?m) and gradient elution was used. Mobile phase A was acetonitrile and mobile phase B was water. Phase A time-percentage composition was as follows:0-3 min,45%;3-30 min,45%→65%;30-38 min, 65%; 38-45 min, 65%→90%;45-55 min,90%→100%;55-65 min,100%. The flow rate was at 1.0 mL?min -1 . Diode array detector was set at 214 nm and column temperature was at 25 ?C. RESULTS: The calibration curves of curcumol and germacrone were linear in the range of 0.26 - 6.5 ?g(r= 0.999 9 ) and 0.112 5 - 2.812 5 ?g(r=1), The average recoveries of them were 102.1% and 98.8% (n=5), respectively. CONCLUSION: Curcumol and germacrone can be determined by the method, and this will improve the quality control of Zedoary Turmeric Oil and Glucose Injections.

With the increasing trade amount of herbal medicine over the world,many foreign countries took non-tariff barriers such as technical regulations,technical standard and conformity assessment procedures,of which the most far-reaching impact of green trade barriers on the export of traditional Chinese medicine.We analyzed the three green trade barriers faced by the traditional Chinese medicine assessing international markets,and summarized the impacts of green trade barriers on the export of traditional Chinese medicine from the two aspects of positive and negative.In the end of this study,we came up with some strategies to deal with green trade barriers:to promote the establishment of standard system; to ensure the quality of traditional Chinese medicine products; to implement green production; to cultivate environmental awareness; to pursue international certification; and to enhance corporate brand image.

Objective To investigate the value of continuous occlusion of hepatic artery proper to intermittent Pringle maneuver in partial hepatectomy for ruptured hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Methods The clinical data of 36 patients(test group)who received partial hepatectomy for ruptured HCC by adding continuous occlusion of hepatic artery proper to intermittent Pringle maneuver at the Southwest Hospital were retrospectively analyzed.Thirty-six patients(control group)who received intermittent Pringle maneuver only were selected as the control.All data were analyzed using the chi-square test,Fisher exact probability and analysis of variance.Results The mean hepatic artery occlusion time of the test group was 58 minutes(range,36-98 minutes).The median blood loss of the test group was 400 ml,which was significantly less than 750 ml of the control group(F =16.47,P ＜ 0.05);78%(28/36)of patients in the test group did not receive blood transfusion,which was significantly more than 53%(19/36)of the control group(x2 =6.01,P ＜0.05).The levels of postoperative serumaspartate transaminase and total bilirubin of the 2 groups were peaked at postoperative day 2 and then decreased to the normal level 1 week later.There were no significant differences in the incidences and levels of complications between the 2 groups(x2 = 1.83,0.89,P ＞ 0.05).Conclusion The addition of continuous occlusion of hepatic artery proper to intermittent Pringle maneuver significantly reduces intraoperative blood loss and doesn't bring any adverse effects to hepatic function for partial hepatectomy in patients with ruptured HCC when compared with intermittent Pringle maneuver alone.

BACKGROUND: BuCy2 composed of large-dose oral busulfanum and cyclophosphamide has been one of the main conditioning regimens before transplantation, but oral busulfanum can result in many side effects.OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of the conditioning regimen with intravenous busulfanum (Ⅳ Bu) in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) for malignant hematopathy.DESIGN: Case observation.SETTING: Department of Hematology, Union Hospital,Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology.PARTICIPANTS: A total of 13 patients with chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML) and 6 patients with acute leukemia,who received allogeneic HSCT with the conditioning therapy of modified BuCy2, were enrolled at Institute of Hematopathy, Union Hospital, Huazhong University of Science and Technology from May to December 2006. There were 12 males and 7 females aged 14-50 years with an average of 33 years, and there were 9 cases of related transplantation and 10 cases of unrelated transplantation. Hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) were harvested from peripheral blood of 18 subjects and bone marrow of 1 subject. All patients and their family members signed the informed consent.METHODS: All patients were treated with allogeneic HSCT with the conditioning therapy of intravenous BuCy2.All patients received the modified combination of busulfanum and cyclophosphamide that was commonly utilized currently.Hydroxycarbamide 40 mg/kg was orally taken ten days before transplantation. Arabinosylcytosin (Ara-C) 2 g/m2 was injected via vein nine days before transplantation. Busulfanum ampule 0.8 mg/kg (equal to 1 mg/kg oral administration)was given by central venous cannula eight, seven and six days before transplantation. The injection was performed over 2 hours controlled by infusion pump, once every 6 hours, totally 12 times. Busulfanum was diluted by saline or 5% glucose to about 0.5 g/L (about 10 times) before Ⅳ Bu. Cyclophosphamide 1.8 g/m2 was intravenously injected every day from five and four days before transplantation. Methyl-CCNU 250 mg/m2 was taken orally three days before transplantation. Occurrence of hepatic vano-occlusive disease (HVOD) and its side effects were determined. Follow-up was performed at month 6.5 after operation to observe disease recurrence and patient survival.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Occurrence and side effects of HVOD 100 days after transplantation, and results of follow-up.RESULTS: Totally 19 patients were involved in the result analysis. In 13 days after transplantation, blood conversion,chromosome karyotype and DNA polymorphism tests verified that reconstruction of hematopoietic function was obtained and two patients got recurrence, of which one patient got complete remission after receiving fludarabine plus cytarabine plus granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) and HSCs from peripheral blood. DNA polymorhism test verified that re-engraftment was obtained. Another patient received chemotherapy. Other patients lived well.
