Journal of Chongqing Medical University 1986;0(02):-
Objective:To study the effects of combination of arsenic trioxide and octreotide on the proliferation and apoptosis of hepatocellular carcinoma cells(HCC),and to explore the mechanism of their action on liver cancer. Methods:Heptocellular carcinoma cell SMMC-7721 was treated with arsenic trioxide and octreotide.Cell survival rate was determined by MTT assay;cell cycle and the apoptosis index were determined by flow cytometry (FCM);the morphological changes were observed by transmission electron microscope. Results:The combination of arsenic trioxide and octreotide significantly inhibited the growth of SMMC-7721 and the concentration of each drug in combination is 2.022?mol/L and 8.088?mol/L that was less than single use of arsenic trioxide (3.707?mol/L)and octreotide (22.637?mol/L).The combination of two drugs can arrest HCC in S phases and induce apoptosis. Conclusion:Arsenic trioxide can enhance the antiproliferative effect of octreotide to human HCC and induce apoptosis.

6.Progress of Hygienic Chemical Analysis on Cosmetics in China
Journal of Environment and Health 1993;0(03):-
The methods for analysis of cosmetics including chemical analysis and instrument analysis, such as spectrophotometry, electrochemical analysis, chromatography (gas chromatography, liquid chromatography and thin-layer chromatography), fluorescence analysis, were summarized in this article in recent years. The prohibited and limited components in cosmetics were determined mainly by chromatography method. The methods for determination of hygienic chemical indexes of cosmetics had been mature. The methods for determination of prohibited and limited components in cosmetics had been studied a little, so should be strengthened more.
7.Study on arsenic trioxide induced apoptosis in hepatoma cells andits molecular mechanism
Journal of Chongqing Medical University 1986;0(04):-
Objective:To study the changes of cell cycle phase and cell cycle phase regulation protein during arsenic trioxide induced apoptosis in hepatoma cells, and to explore mechanisms of arsenic trioxide inhibited HCC.Methods:Cultured in vitre,HCC SMMC-7721 were treated 72h with 2?mol/L arsenic trioxide. The cell cycle and apoptosis index were detected by flow cytometry(FCM);the morphological changes were observed by transmission electron microscope. The immunohistochemistry was used to detect the protein expression of p21、cyclin D_1,cyclinA.Results:SMMC-7721 cell cycle was arrested in G_1 and S phase by arsenic trioxide.Compared with control in the course of apoptosis induced by arsenic trioxide p21 protein expressions rose significantly(control:1.128;arsenic trioxide:3.794),while cyclinD_1,cyclinA protein expressions decreased significantly(control 1:3.647,2.833;arsenic trioxide:1.133,1.179).Conclusion:Arsenic trioxide could disturb cell cycle progression of SMMC-7721 and induce apoptosis. The mechanism may relate to that arsenic trioxide up-regulate expression of p21 and down-regulate expression of cyclinD_1,cyclinA.

Journal of International Oncology 2011;38(12):897-900
Phospholipase A2 (PLA2) is consisted of a large group of enzymes, which can hydrolyze Sn-2 ester bond of the phospholipids and have different structures and functions.According to the latest related researches, many subtypes of PLA2 express abnormally in a various of tumors and have a close relationship with cancer proliferation, apoptosis, invasion, metastasis and prognosis.Different subtypes have different effects on neoplasms.PLA2 can supply a new insight on cancer therapy.
10.Effect of inactivated schistosome ova on intestinal epithelial tight junctions during tinitrobenzene sulfonic acid-induced colitis
Chinese Journal of Digestion 2010;30(2):81-86
Objective To observe the possible effect of inactivated schistosome ova on the expression of intestinal epithelial tight junctions ZO-1 and Occludin gene in mouse colitis induced by tinitrobenzene sulfonic acid (TNBS) and its mechanism. Methods Fifty mice were divided into control group (group A, n= 10),TNBS plus normal saline(NS) group(group B, n= 20) and TNBS plus inactivated schistosome ova group(group C, n= 20). Group C was exposed to 10 000 freeze-killed schistosome ova by intraperitoneal injection at day 14 and day 3 before colitis induction. Meanwhile, group B was exposed to 1 ml NS by intraperitoneal injection. The mice in group B and C were challenged with 3 mg TNBS to induce colitis. All mice were killed 7-day after colitis induction and assessed with following variables including mortality, pathological change with HE staining of colon. The transcription levels of ZO-1 and Oceludin in colon tissues were examined using Real-time PCR.The expression and distribution of ZO-1 and Occludin proteins were detected by Western blotting and immunohistochemistry. ResultsIn comparison with group B inactivated schistosome ova most effectively reduced the mortality (30% vs 15 %) and histopathologic severity of TNBS-induced colitis (4.21±0.40 vs 1.74±0.10). The transcription levels of ZO-1 and Occludin in group B were decreased compared with those in group A and group C (P<0.01). When compared with group B,group C showed a significant elevation of the alteration of ZO-1, Occludin proteins expression and localization. Conclusion The results clearly show that schistosome ova treatment reduced the severity of experimental colitis through the regulation of tight junction proteins.
