Journal of Clinical Hepatology 2015;31(4):523-525
Objective To evaluate the efficacy of entecavir treatment up to 96 weeks for patients with chronic hepatitis B (CHB).Methods The study recruited 62 CHB patients who were admitted to or hospitalized at the Taixing People′s Hospital from July 201 1 to July 2014. The patients were treated with entecavir (0.5 mg/d)for 96 weeks of antiviral therapy. All the patients were divided into HBeAg-positive (n=43)and HBeAg-negative groups (n=19).The HBV DNA load was higher than 106 copies/ml in 38 patients and lower than 106 cop-ies/ml in 24 patients. The efficacy of entecavir in the two groups was compared at 24,48,and 96 weeks of treatment.Between-group com-parison of categorical data was performed byχ2 test. Results At 24,48,and 96 weeks of treatment, the HBeAg-positive group had a sig-nificantly lower HBV DNA clearance rate than the HBeAg -negative group (34.88% vs 78.95%,P=0.003;65.12% vs 89.47%, P=0.047;74.42% vs 100%,P=0.038);there was no significant difference in alanine aminotransferase (ALT)normalization rate be-tween the two groups (P=0.102,0.779,and 0.638).Patients with a HBV DNA load of >106 copies/ml had a significantly lower HBV DNA clearance rate than those with a HBV DNA load of <106 copies/ml at 24,48,and 96 weeks of treatment (34.21% vs 70.83%, P=0.005;57.89% vs 95.83%,P=0.001;76.32%vs 95.83%,P=0.002);there was no significant difference in ALT normalization rate between the two groups (P=0.940,0.150,and 0.280).Conclusion Entecavir has a high antiviral activity in the treatment of CHB, which can suppress HBV replication and concurrently improve liver function.
3.Regulatory effect of p53 on human telomerase reverse transcriptase expression
Journal of Third Military Medical University 1983;0(04):-
Objective To investigate whether p53 expression is involved in human telomerase reverse trans-criptase (hTERT) regulation. Methods HepG2 cells and pPUR/U6/hTERT HepG2 cells were treated with the p53 antisense oligonucleotide respectively and p53 expression plasmid were introduced to HepG2 cells. The decreased or increased p53 level and the hTERT expression levels were analyzed by Western blotting. Results Down-regulation of p53 expression had no obvious effect on hTERT expression, but over-expression of p53 could significantly repress hTERT level. Conclusion p53 interacts with hTERT and inhibits hTERT expression in HepG2 cells.

5.Azathioprine Treatment in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus: A Double Edged Sword
The International Medical Journal Malaysia 2015;14(2):61-62
Extremely severe pancytopenia induced by low dosage of azathioprine in systemic lupus erythematosus patients
is rare. A 40-year-old Chinese female was diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus. She suffered worse
erythema, oral ulceration, raised erythrocyte sedimentation rate and high anti-dsDNA in August 2013. Then she
was initiated on oral azathioprine 50mg/d and extremely severe pancytopenia was seen in September 2013. She
was recovered by a series of treatments. Regular monitoring of blood counts is highly recommended to reduce
the possible serious myelosuppression induced by azathioprine.

Chinese Journal of General Practitioners 2011;10(10):740-741
Total 150 patients with chronic pelvic pain syndrome were randomly divided into three groups with 50 cases in each group. Patients were treated with tamsulosin, Qianlie'an Shuan and tamsulosin plus Qianlie'an Shuan for 12 weeks, respectively. Patients were assessed with the National Institutes of Health-Chronic Prostatitis Symptom Index (NIH-CPSI) before and after treatment. The score of NIH-CPSI decreased from 25. 1 ± 2. 2 to 19. 5 ± 1.7 after treatment in tamsulosin group; 25.0 ± 2. 2 to 19. 1 ± 1.7 in Qianlie'an Shuan group, and 24. 8 ± 1.7 to 16. 8 ± 1.4 in combined therapy group, all P <0. 01. The results indicated that tamsulosin, Qianlie' an Shuan or combined therapy were all effective in alleviating the symptoms and improving the quality of life, and the combined therapy was superior to single therapy in relief of symptoms.
9.Management of cancer pain in community of Huanggu District of Shenyang City
Chinese Journal of General Practitioners 2012;11(3):217-218
The status of anesthesia and psychotropic substances use for cancer pain control was analyzed in 355 cancer patients in Huanggu District of Shenyang City. The results revealed that patients aged 60 and above accounted for 62.8% of the total; the 5 leading diseases were lung cancer ( 132 cases,37.2% ),colorectal cancer (34 cases,9.6% ),liver cancer (33 cases,9.3% ),stomach cancer ( 31cases,8.7% ) and pancreatic cancer (20 cases,5.6% ).There was no significant difference in constituent ratio of disease categories in the last 4 years ( x2 =18.75,P > 0.05 ).The daily oral dose of morphine sulphate was 60 - 200 mg with an effective rate of 91.5% (325/355). The side effects including constipation, nausea, vomiting and itching can be effectively reduced by prophylactic medication.

Chinese Journal of Radiation Oncology 2012;21(2):105-107
Objective To investigate the value of diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (DWMRI) in gross tumor volume definition and localregional recurrence/distant metastasis prediction in nasopharyngeal carcinoma ( NPC). Methods From Jun. 2008 to Feb. 2011, each of 36 patients with or without Iocalregional recurrence and/or distant metastasis treated by intensity-modulated radiotherapy in our hospital was matched in this study. The difference of apparent diffusion coefficient ( ADC) values between these two groups was compared by t-test method. The conventional MRI and DWMRI before treatment were centrally reviewed to evaluated whether DWMRI would benefit to the definition of gross tumor volume. Results The mean ADC value were (0. 753 ±0. 091) x 10 -3 mm2/s and (0. 793 ±0. 094) x10-3 mm2/s in treatment failure group and control group, respectively ( t = - 1. 79 ,P = 0. 078) . The extension of gross tumor volume were much more outstanding in DWMRI when compared to conventional MRI. DWMRI predicted localregional recurrence more accuracy than conventional MRI in one patient . Conclusions DWMRI is help to definition of gross tumor volume. The ADC value before radiotherapy can not predict the localregional recurrence and/or distant metastasis for nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
