3.MRI characteristic of proximal femur bone marrow edema syndrome.
China Journal of Orthopaedics and Traumatology 2014;27(7):575-578
OBJECTIVETo study the MRI features of proximal femur bone marrow edema syndrome for further improve the understanding of the disease.
METHODSMRI imaging of 10 patients with proximal femur bone marrow edema syndrome was retrospectively reviewed, including 6 males and 4 females with an average age of 41.5 years old ranging from 36 to 57. The courses of diseases ranged from 1 week to 3 months. Among them, 9 cases had clinical manifestations of sudden hip pain, 7 cases had limited ability of walking and hip movement;all patients had no obvious injury history, non of the female patients was pregnant. All patients were followed up from 3 to 12 months, the following-up were topped after MRI when the symptoms disappeared for 3 months.
RESULTSThe MRI demonstrated diffuse bone marrow edema involving the femoral head, neck and the inter-trochanteric region, 13 hips of 10 patients with bone marrow edema included 6 cases in grade 1, 5 cases in grade 2,2 cases in grade 3; 9 hips with hip hydrarthrosis included 6 hips in grade I ,1 hip in grade II, 2 hips in grade III. After treatment for 3 to 12 months the hip symptoms of the patients disappeared and MRI images were normal.
CONCLUSIONMRI is useful in defining the location and extent of proximal femur bone marrow edema syndrome.

4.Observation on the efficacy of acupoint massage plus moxibustion for refractory insomnia
Journal of Acupuncture and Tuina Science 2015;(1):44-48
Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of acupoint massage plus moxibustion in treating refractory insomnia.
Methods:Sixty patients with refractory insomnia were randomized into two groups, 30 in each group. The treatment group was intervened by acupoint massage on the face and head plus moxibustion at Yongquan (KI 1);the control group was intervened only by the same acupoint massage. For both groups, the treatment was given once a day, and the therapeutic efficacy was evaluated after 4-week treatment.
Results:The total effective rate was 93.3%in the treatment group versus 80.0%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).
Conclusion:Acupoint massage plus moxibustion can produce a better efficacy than acupoint massage alone in treating refractory insomnia.
5.Combined application of helicobacter pylori stool antigen test and serology in epidemiologic study of helicobacter pylori infection in children
Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2004;0(11):-
Objective To evaluate the feasibility of combined application of helicobacter pylori stool antigen(HpSA)-and traditional serology in epidemiologic study of helicobacter pylori(Hp) infection in children. Methods Hp serum IgG antibodies were examined among 480 healthy children. Heticobacter pylori stool antigen(HpSA) were measured among children who were seropositive. Hp status was defined as positive when stool antigen test was positive, Hp status was defined as negative when seronegative. A case - control study was conducted to identify risk factors of Hp infection in preschool children. Results Among 480 preschool children, 172 (35 8 %) were sero- positive, 64(13.3 %) with positive result of HpSA test were diagnosed as current Hp infection. Univariate factor analysis demonstrated that Hp infection clustered in families and Hp infection was often acquired in childhood by oral-oral and fecal - oral person to person transmission. Conclusions HpSA and serology screening are two nomnvasive tests, simple not costly, effective and accurate. The combination of these 2 noninvasive methods can be applied in epidemiologic study of Hp infection in childrenJAppl Clin Pediatr,2004,19(11):948-950
8.Updates in the research of relationship between MicroRNAs and hepatocellular carcinoma
Chinese Journal of Digestive Surgery 2015;14(5):431-433
MicroRNAs are one kind of endogenous noncoding small-molecular RNAs,which play an important role in regulating gene expression, cell proliferation and differentiation and a series of life activity.Hepatocellular carcinoma is a common malignant and life-threatening tumor with a high incidence and low 5-year survival rate.In recent years, the results of researches show that microRNAs in hepatocellular carcinoma have the function of oncogenes or tumor suppressor genes as well as having a close relationship with the occurrence, progression, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of hepatocellular carcinoma.
9.Analysis of gastroscopic characteristics in elderly people aged over 90 years
Chinese Journal of Geriatrics 2013;32(12):1300-1302
Objective To investigate the clinical characteristics of upper gastrointestinal diseases in very old people (aged ≥ 90 years),and to explore the necessity and safety of the gastroscopy for the super elderly people. Methods Clinical data of 50 very old people were retrospectively analyzed. Results The total detection rate of upper gastrointestinal disease was 76.0% (38/50),in which the reflux esophagitis (RE) was the most common (26.0%),followed by erosive gastritis (20.0%),atrophic gastritis (18.0 %),peptic ulcer (12.0 %),gastrointestinal cancer (10.0%),duodenitis (8.0%) and fundic gland polyps (6.0%) respectively.RE lesions detected by gastroscopy were mainly mild and were divided into endoscopic grade LA-A (46.1%),LA-B (30.8%),LA C (7.7%),and LA-D (15.4%) according to the Los Angeles classification. The most common symptoms were abdominal distension and anorexia, and the both incidences were 12.0%.There was no significant difference in the prevalence of clinical symptoms between the elderly people with upper gastrointestinal disease and without abnormal gastroscopic findings [44.7% (17/38) vs.41.7% (5/12),x2 =0.035,P>0.05].22 patients (44.0%) underwent gastroscopy under intravenous anesthesia. Conclusions The incidence of upper gastrointestinal disease is high in very old people, and mild reflux esophagitis is the most common.Clinical symptoms are little or asymptomatic in most very old people.Gastroscopy under intravenous anesthesia is safe and feasible for the very old people.
10.Present status of dilatative arteriopathy(Dolichoectasia)
Journal of Interventional Radiology 2006;0(08):-
Dilatative arteriopathy is also called Dolichoectasia, presenting as enlarged ,tortuous ,and dilated arteries; especially with involvement of intracranial arteries. The incidence of dolichoectasia is quite low, but it may induce recurrent strokes with poor prognosis and up to now there is no specific management. Our study reviews the potential etiology, epidemiology, symptoms, pathophysiology, prognosis and present status of treatment for dolichoectasia.
