Antiinflammatio No. 6 (AI6) is an effective anti-infective drug composed of four traditional Chinese medicines, namely, Lonicera japonica Thunb, Taraxacum mongolican I-Iand-Mazz, Isatis tinctoria L. and Houttuynia cordata Thunb. It was demonstrated in our experiments that the drug was able to enhance the oxidative burst of rat peritoneal macrophages as shown by increased production of H_2O_2 and exaggerated reduction of nitroblue tetrazolium (NBT). It seems likely that by these means AI6 could promote the bactericidal function of macrophagcs. NBT rcduction of macrophages was examined both by spectrophotometric quantification and electromicroscopic observation.

The paper summarized the current situation of diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic endocrine tumors (PETs)in China.In recent sixty years, we understand PETs more deeply, and have all kinds of imaging technique to localize the tumors.It makes more cases having been diagnosed.Operation is the most important and the first choice of treatment.The concept of minimal-invasion runs through the surgical procedure.Multi-model strategy is used in therapy for malignant PETs with liver metastasis.Basic research is focused in mechanism and early diagnosis and it helps the clinical practice.Specialization and co-operation are emphasized in the development of PETs diagnosis and treatment.

From April 2011 to October 2013,68 patients scheduled for complex hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery underwent full-thickness suturing of abdominal incision with subcutaneous negative pressure drainage.There was no such complications as wound dehiscence or sinus formation.Except for 2 cases of wound infection,primary healing was achieved.Two infected cases were followed up for 1 year and there was incisional hernia.The full-thickness suturing of abdominal incision plus subcutaneous negative pressure drainage could prevent postoperative wound infection and promote wound healing.And this simple and practical approach is worthy of wider clinical application.

As the newest anti-vascular endothelial grown factor (VEGF) drug,alfibercept binds to all forms of VEGF-A,VEGF-B, and PIGF.So far, intravitreal injection of alfibercept has already been used to treat certain opthalmological diseases, such as neovascular age-related macular degeneration, polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy, central retinal vascular occlusion, diabetic macular edema, corneal neovascular,and retinopathy of prematurity.In this article,we contrasted alfibercept to the other anti-VEGF drugs, conducted a review of the recent research progress of alfibercept in opthalmological diseases and introduced the questions which still need to be solved and the probably research direction of alfibercept in the future.

Objective: To observe clinical and serologic effects of self-made Chinese drug Liangxue Baidu Decoction Granules combined with azithromycin on early syphilis. Methods: 68 cases of early syphilis were randomly divided into two groups. The treatment group (u=43) were treated by Liangxue Baidu Decoction Granules combined with azithromycin and the control group (n=23) by simple azithromycin. Their therapeutic effects were compared. Objective To investigate the acoustic f eatures of voice in patients with abnormal lung function, evaluate the effect o f lung dysfunction on acoustics of voice,and observe the relationship between re spiration and phonation. Methods The voice signals of sustained vowel /a/ were mea sured by a micro-computer with Dr.speech science for windows software in 50 pati ents with abnormal lung function and 50 healthy adults. The acoustic parameters( F0,jitter,shimmer,intensity,NNE) were collected and analysed in lowest pitch,no rmal pitch and highest pitch.All patients were divided into two groups according to sex. Results In patients with abnormal lung function ,the pa rameters (shimmer, jitter, NNE,)were significantly increased or others(F0,inten sity) were significantly decreased in lowest pitch. Intensity decreased si gnificantly in highest pitch . There was a positive relationship between the de grees of lung dysfunction and the parameters of acoustics. Conclusion Abnormal lung function affected significantly on acoustics of voice in three different pitches; The changes of the parameters were related to the degrees of lung function.The results showed that respiratory activities play an important role in phonation.

The effect of trichosanthin on mast cell degranulation and histamine release were observed with both Alcian blue staining method and fluorescent histamine determination method. It was showed that, ① in vitro trichosanthin showed no direct effect on the mast cell degranulation and histamine release even in the presence of fresh serum; ② in vivo administration on of trichosanthin in mice could cause significant mast cell degranulation and histamine release in inflammatory situ, as shown by the decreased number of Alcian blue stained nondegranulated mast cell in the peritoneal cavities; ③ intra peritoneal injection of trichosanthin in Wistar rats could significantly increase histamine level in the whole blood, while inducing prominent exudation of protein into the peritoneal cavities; ④ the supernatant of peritoneal exudate lavaged 12 hours after trichosanthin injection could cause mast cell degranulation. These results implicate that, although it showed no direct effect on mast cells, trichosanthin could cause mast cell to degranulate and release histamine via in vivo activation of some soluble mast cell degranulating factors. It was discovered in further study that the depletion of complement by cobra venom factor injection revealed no effect on the production of mast cell degranulation factor, suggesting that, in normal animals, the trichosanthininduced complement activation had no significant influence on the mast cell degranulation and histamine release.

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of conbercept and lucentis in the treatment of age-related macular degeneration.Methods A total of 66 patients with age-related macular degeneration from our hospital were chosen,the patients or family members signed an agreement,were randomly divided into experiment group and control group with 33 cases in each group.Patients in the control group were treated by lucentis injection therapy; patients in the experiment group were treated by conbercept injection,determined serological indexes and ophthalmic indexes before and after treatment,and the clinical efficacy wascompared,the patients were followed up,the adverse reactions were recorded.Results After treatment,the vision restoration effective rate of the control group 48％was lower than the experiment group 80％,with statistical significance(P<0.05); the adverse reactions rate of the experiment group(20％)compared with the control group(16％),was no difference.Conclusion Conbercept injection in the treatment of age-related macular degeneration can decrease peripheral blood VEGF and CRP contents,reduce the CMT and CNV levels,reduce intraocular pressure,improve vision.
