In this study, the psbA-trnH sequence as DNA barcode was used to evaluate the accuracy and stability for identification pteridophyte medicinal material Pyrrosiae Foliumas from adulterants. Genomic DNA from 106 samples were extracted successfully. The Kimura 2-Parameter (K2P) distances and ML tree were calculated using software MEGA 6.0. The intra-specific genetic distances of 3 original plants were lower than inter-specific genetic distances of adulterants. The ML tree indicated that Pyrrosiae Folium can be distinguished from its adulterants obviously. Therefore, the psbA-trnH sequence as a barcode of the pteridophyte, can accurately and stably distinguish Pyrrosiae Folium from its adulterants.

Acta Physiologica Sinica 2013;65(1):26-32
The present study was aimed to investigate the effect of electroacupuncture (EA) on learning-memory of rats with low estrogen-induced cognitive impairment and the possible mechanism. The rat model was established by ovariectomy, which resulted in low estrogen-induced cognitive impairment. EA was applied continuously for 3 months 2 weeks after ovariectomy. Morris water maze was used to test the ability of spatial learning and memory. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and real-time quantitative RT-PCR were used to detect the concentration of serum estradiol (E2) and relative expression of choline acetyltransferase (ChAT) mRNA in hippocampus, respectively. The result showed that, compared with the sham group, the ovariectomy model group exhibited longer escape latency, reduced number of platform-crossing, lower concentration of serum E2, and decreased expression of ChAT mRNA in hippocampus. EA shortened the escape latency and increased the number of platform-crossing in the ovariectomy model group. Moreover, the concentration of serum E2 and the hippocampal expression of ChAT mRNA in the ovariectomy model group were significantly elevated by EA treatment. These results suggest EA is capable of improving learning and memory in ovariectomized rats, and the mechanism involves the up-regulation of the expression of ChAT mRNA in hippocampus induced by the increase of the serum concentration of estrogen.

ObjectiveTo investigate the impact of metal plate on radiation dose distribution by Monte Carlo (MC) code. MethodsThe metal plates with 0. 4 thick were placed in water at 5 cm, all the plate irradiated with 6 MV X-ray were simulated by MC code, SSD =100 cm. The percentage depth dose with or without metal implants were compared. ResultsThe surface absorbed doses on incident plane of stainless steel plate and titanium plate were increased by 19. 6% and 15.7% respectively as compared water, the dose influence was less than 1.5% more than 0. 3 cm outside the incidence plane. The doses on the exit surface of stainless steel plate and titanium plate were lowered by 8. 6% and 8. 2% when compared with water, the dose impacts of this places where were from the exit surface of stainless steel plate 、titanium plate more than 1.2 cm,0. 9 cm were less than 1.5%. The surface absorbed doses on incident plane of stainless steel plate were increased by 3.9% respectively as titanium plate, the dose of the exit surface of stainless steel plate and titanium plate was similar. Conclusions MC method is a fast and accurate calculation method. The influence of metal plate on the radiotherapy dose distribution is significant. Under the such condition, the impact of stainless steel plate is much more than that of titanium alloy plate.

Objective To observe the distribution and metabolism of arsenic speciation in urine of rats exposed to different concentrations of dimethylaraenic acid (DMA) through drinking water. Methods Thrity six weaning Wistar rats were randomly divided into normal control,low-dose group and high-dose group,12 rats in each group(6 female and 6 male); average body weight of female rats was (60 ± 5)g,and male rats was (50 ± 5)g.All rats of the 3 groups were given DMA at concentrations of 0,100,200 mg/L,respectively,corresponding to their specific groups through drinking water for 10 weeks.Inorganic arsenic(iAs),monomethylarsenic acid(MMA),DMA and trimethylarsenic compound (TMA) in urine were measured by hydride generation trapping and ultrahypothermia coupled with atomic absorption spectrometry. Results After feeding for 10 weeks, the differences of rat urinary concentrations of iAs,MMA,DMA and TMA between normal control,low-dose group and high-dose group were statistically significant(x2 =25.441,25.942,25.751,17.767,all P< 0.01).Urinary concentrations of iAs,MMA and DMA(2.541,4.383,24.447 mg/L) of low-dose group were significant higher than those of normal control (0.784,0.000,0.743 mg/L,all P < 0.05) ; iAs,MMA,DMA and TMA(3.978,7.186,35.112,4.518 mg/L) of high-dose group were significantly higher than those of normal control(0.784,0.000,0.743,0.000 mg/L,all P < 0.05).The concentrations increased along with increasing doses of DMA concentrations in drinking water(all P < 0.05).Conclusions After rats are exposed to DMA,most of the DMA are excreted in unchanged form in urine and a small portion of DMA is metabolized into TMA.
8.AxiaLif application in lumbosacral vertebral fusion
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2018;22(3):456-463
BACKGROUND: Lumbosacral vertebral fusion operation is an important treatment for lumbosacral vertebral degenerative disease. Traditional open surgery has great trauma; postoperative recovery time is longer; there are more complications. To reduce the damage to normal tissue and increase the rate of healing, scholars in and outside China improve the lumbar spine fusion surgery, and lumbar fusion becomes a tendency of the development of minimally invasive surgery. In 2004, Cragg introduced lumbosacral vertebral axial fusion (AxiaLIF, axial lumbar intervertebral fusion). The operation is through posterior rectal wall and presacral space approach, axially nailing for fusion of L5/S1. Muscle, ligament and blood vessels of the spine were retained. Mechanical stability was similar to that of traditional fusion. Osseous fusion rate was high at the operation segment. This is in line with the concept of minimally invasive surgery of the spine. OBJECTIVE: To summarize the advantages and disadvantages of traditional and present fusion techniques from traditional lumbar fusion and present lumbar fusion angle, and to explore the application of AxiaLIF in lumbosacral fusion. METHODS: We retrieved PubMed, Web of Science, and Springer database with the English key words of "Axial interbody fusion and (properties or evaluation), biomechanics, spine mechanical test, spine and (kinematics or motion)", and Chinese Journal Full-Text Database with the Chinese key words of "Axial fusion, biomechanics research assessment, biomechanics, anterior sacral space, minimally invasive spine" for studies concerning lumbar fusion, complications, biomechanics, and humanistic medicine that had been published in recent 5 years. Repetitive studies were excluded, and 46 studies were analyzed and discussed. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: In the past 90 years, scholars in and outside China had studied the methods of lumbar fusion from various levels, analyzed and summarized the advantages and disadvantages of various operative methods, and identified the indications of lumbar spinal fusion. By comparing characteristics of open surgery and minimally invasive surgery, this study suggested that minimally invasive lumbar fusion has become a trend. In-depth understanding of biomechanical stability, complications, and postoperative recovery time after AxiaLIF is still a long way to go in future medical research.

Chinese Journal of Neuromedicine 2008;7(4):388-392
Objective To explore the operative features and results of idiopathic trigeminal neuralgia (TN) caused by venous compression. Methods Surgical management technique and outcomes in 33 TN patients were retrospectively analyzed. Compressing venules were electrically coagulated and blocked, and the offending branches of superior petrosal vein complex (SPVC) were partially blocked with the vein trunk preserved. After the veins were divided away from the compressed nerve and the entire cisternal trigeminal nerve were exposed, Teflon graft was properly interpositioned to encircle the whole range of it. Results Location of the vein compression can be at all along the cistemal trigeminal nerve. In the 33 TN patients, 22 were attributed to vein compression associated with artery offence, and 11 to simple vein conflict venous compression, among them 3 to anonymous veins and 8 to SPVC near Meckel's cave. The drainage patterns of the SPVC were classified into 3 groups. The pain get completely relieved in all patients after microvascular decompression(MVD). No recurrence was found during the follow-ups of 2.5 years on average. Four patients developed trigeminal nerve impairment and 2 suffered from disordered cerebellum function after operation, but these complications were all improved through treatment. Conclusions SPVC is the most common offensive vein.Whether the venous compression is main compressing factor or not, it was essential to deal with them properly to get the trigeminal nerve completely decompressed from veins. MVD can accurately identify the venous compression and reduce the recurrence, however, it may result in higher postoperative complications.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the clinical curative effect of the modified Halo pelvic frame and surgery for the treatment of severe scoliosis with rigidity.
METHODSFrom January 2004 to May 2010,50 patients with severe scoliosis patients with rigidity were treated in our hospital. Twenty-three patients were male and 27 patients were female, with a mean age of 10.8 years old, ranging from 4 to 16 years. Twenty-four patients were congenital scoliosis and 26 patiens were idiopathic scoliosis. The mean body height were (152.1 +/- 11.1) cm and the average Cobb angle of scoliosis and kyphosis were (91.8 +/- 14.5) degrees and (69.5 +/- 14.0) degrees respectively. All the patients were treated with three-stages modified Halo pelvic traction, the second stage anterior release and the third stage posterior correction. The amount of correction was determined by measuring the change of body height, the Cobb angles and correction rate of scoliosis as well as kyphosis before and after the operation.
RESULTSThe mean body height were correct to (158.5 +/- 10.5) cm. The average Cobb angle of scoliosis were correct to (30.8 +/- 7.9) degrees. The average Cobb angle of kyphosis were correct to (31.6 +/- 10.1) degrees. After the first stage, the average Cobb angle of scoliosis and kyphosis were changed with the mean of (30.4 +/- 6.6)% correction and (22.3 +/- 5.2)% respectively; after the second stage, the average Cobb angle of scoliosis and kyphosis were changed with the mean (26.7 -/+ 5.1)% correction and (21.2 -/+ 6.0)% respectively; the third stage, above data were (33.7 -/+ 7.2)% and (27.1 +/- 5.3)%. Correction rate of scoliosis and kyphosis were (66.5 +/- 7.2)% and (55.1 +/- 6.4)% respectively by the modified Halo pelvic frame traction and surgery. Body height, the Cobb angles and correction rate of scoliosis and kyphosis on radiographs were different in all stages (P<0.05).
CONCLUSIONOperative complications of severe scoliosis with rigidity can be reduced and better deformity correction and trunk balance achieved by the modified Halo pelvic frame traction and surgery.
