Journal of Acupuncture and Tuina Science 2020;18(3):225-230
Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of lung-clearing and spleen-strengthening tuina on exogenous cough in children. Methods: A total of 77 children with exogenous cough that met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group according to the random number table, with 39 cases in the treatment group and 38 cases in the control group. The routine lung-clearing manipulation was used in the two groups, while the spleen- strengthening manipulation was added in the treatment group. Both groups were treated once a day, 5 times as a course of treatment. After one course of treatment, the symptom score and clinical efficacy were observed. Results: There were one dropout in the treatment group and 2 dropouts in the control group. Therefore, a total of 74 cases were finally included in the analysis, with 38 cases in the treatment group and 36 cases in the control group. After treatment, there was a statistically significant difference in cough score between the two groups (P<0.05). There was a statistically significant difference in the score of poor appetite between the two groups (P<0.05). After treatment, the total effective rate was 89.5% in the treatment group versus 75.0% in the control group, showing a statistically significant difference (P<0.05). Conclusion: The therapeutic efficacy of lung-clearing spleen-strengthening manipulation is better than that of lung-clearing tuina manipulation alone for children with exogenous cough; regulating spleen and stomach can improve the curative efficacy of exogenous cough in children.

Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2011;18(15):2031-2032
ObjectiveTo investigate the value of cavity isolation method on left colorectal obstruction in the anastomosis isolation. Methods60 patients with left colorectal obstruction were randomly divided into two groups:ileostomy group and cavity isolation method group,30 patients for each. After left colon resection was completed, ileostomy anastomosis group used the traditional method for colorectal anastomosis, and protected the anastomosis by ileostomy. Cavity isolation method group protected the anastomosis by cavity isolation method. Then the indexes in the two groups, such as anastomotic height, operation time, anal exhaust time, incidence of anastomotic leakage and its complications, hospitalization time, medical cost and so on were analyzed. Results Longer postoperative hospital stay (9.3 + 4.2) d were observed in ileostomy group than those ( 15.6 + 3.3 ) d ( P < 0.05 ). Earlier time of the first flatusand oral intake(87.2 ± 6.3 ) h, ( 91.2 ± 7.2 ) h were observed in ileostomy group than those ( 101.8 + 7.5 ) h,( 117.3 ± 8.6) h in cavity isolation method group ( all P < 0.05 ). ConclusionThe anastomosis isolation was a safe and feasible new technology that could reduce the complications caused by anastomotic leakage, and it had the advantages of short hospital stay, low cost, less suffering ect.

Journal of Acupuncture and Tuina Science 2007;5(1):1-5
Acupuncture is a traditional empirical medicine, and evidence-based medicine(EBM) is a new medical method and development of the empirical medicine. Since 1990s, Chinese acupuncture workers began to absorb and use the methods and principles of EBM to guide acupuncture clinical research and practice. Now more and more domestic acupuncture clinicians use and follow the methods and principles of EBM. On the systemic review of acupuncture-associated articles in Cochrane library, previously effective acupuncture therapy lacks adequate evidences, which may be related to the low quality of randomized controlled trials(RCTs). In the future, only developing specialized team of acupuncture clinical research and clinical research center can radically elevate the levels of acupuncture clinical research and evaluation. Meanwhile, developing China's evidence-based acupuncture should base itself on the characteristics of acupuncture, such as emphasis on original research in ancient books,high-quality single RCTs and systemic review of non-randomized researches.

Objective To investigate the effect of polygona-polysaccharose on experimental Alzheimer Disease(AD)mice and its possible mechanism. Methods Twenty-six amyloid precursor protein(APP)transgenic mice were randomly divided into high dosage group(HDG),low dosage group(LDG)and model group(MG)which consisted of 9,9 and 8 mice respectively.1 ml of 16%,4% polygona-polysaccharose solution and 1 ml of drinkable tap water were infused into the mouse stomach in HDG,LDG and MG respectively once a day for 45 days.Morris water maze was used to test the mice's proactive learning and memorizing ability. The morphology of cerebral hippocampus was observed by microscope. The content of amyloid-β-protein(Aβ)and the activity of choline acetyltransferase(ChAT)in the cerebral hippocampus were examined by immunochemical staining method. Results Comparisons among treatment groups(including HDG and LDG)and MG showed:(1)Escape delitescence was shortened[at seventh day:(26.0±9.4)s,(31.2±8.7)s and (39.3±10.9)s,P<0.05];(2)The frequency of finding the hidden platform within 120 seconds was inereased(5.28±0.76)times,(3.00±0.77)times and(1.00±0.63)times,(P<0.01);(3)The duration of swimming in objective quadrant(the forth quadrant)within 120 seconds was prolonged [(75.50±8.39)s,(51.39±11.9)s and(36.87±1.25)s,(P<0.05)].HDG provided better results than those in LDG(all P<0.05);(4)The activity of ChAT was enhanced and Aβ concentration was decreased for which results mice in HDG showed better than in LDG(all P<0.05);(5)Morphological study in MG showed the sign of neuron apoptosis such as the reduced number of neuron.the shrinking neuron nuclei, the nucleic membrane being irregular and slightly thickened.However.the neuron in treatment groups were more in number, less transformed and more regularly distrIbuted. Conclusions Polygona-polysaccharose can reduce the accumulation of Aβ in the cerebral hippocampus of AD mice and enhance the activity of ChAT.It can significantly improve the learning and memorizing ability of AD mice and thus proves to be an effective experimental drug for treating AD.

OBJECTIVE:To provide basis for the further implementation of the national essential medicine system in township hospitals. METHODS:By issuing questionnaires,an investigation was made on the basic information of township hospitals imple-menting“Health Ⅺ project”in Heilongjiang Province before and after the implementation of the national essential medicine system. Prescriptions of 4 days in 2008 and 2012 were extracted, statistically compared and analyzed by using random system cluster sam-pling medication rationality was evaluated. RESULTS:40 questionnaires and 3 173 prescriptions were recycled during the investiga-tion in 2009,and 40 questionnaires and 4 197 prescriptions were recycled in 2013. Compared with the township hospitals in project areas in 2008,the proportion of practice(assistant)physicians per township hospitals and the average number of beds were respec-tively increased by 1.5%and 4.6 in 2012. The average kind of prescription drugs was decreased from 2.9 kinds to 1.7 kinds, the us-age rate of infusion was decreased from 46.5%to 30.6%,antibiotics was decreased from 61.5%to 40.0%,two or more kinds anti-biotics was decreased from 18.9% to 4.8%,hormone was decreased from 11.9% to 4.2% and the rate of combined use of antibiot-ic and hormone was decreased from 9.2% to 2.8%;the drug expenditure of each outpatient service and hospitalization was respec-tively decreased 19.1% and 16.4%. There were significant differences(P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS:After the implementation of na-tional essential medicine system, the medication rationality of township hospitals in project areas has made great improvement,es-pecially on the aspects of prescription drug number, the combined usage rate of antibiotic and hormone, the usage of hormone and the drug expense burden, which reaches the policy targets;although the infusion rate and the usage of antibiotic show great im-provements,there are still some gaps between the current situation and the policy targets;the obvious decrease of the average drug expenditure of each service doesn’t make a relative decrease of the average expenditure of each medical service, which has a little increase.
