Objective To evaluate the clinical effect of Easy Prosthesis D-10 on open preperitoneal groin tension-free hernioplasty.MethodsThe operative time,operation-correlated complications,hospital stay and recent follow-up findings of 63 patients underwent preperitoneal groin tension-free hernioplasty were analyzed from October 2006 to April 2008.ResultsNo case died in perioperative period.The average operative time was(47.6?10.5)minutes.None of incision infection and scrotal hydrocele occurred.The average hospital stay was(7.7?2.1)days.During follow-up period of 6 to 24 months,no recurrence,chronic pain and foreign body sensation were found.ConclusionThe open preperioneal groin tension-free hernioplasty by Easy Prosthesis D-10 is safe and reliable,especially for the inguinal hernia with large hernia ring or defect of transversalis fascia and recurrent hernia.

Objective To explore the differentially expressed genes in peripheral blood mononuclear cells of patients with primary biliary cirrhosis and compare it with healthy controls.Methods Peripheral blood mononuclear cells were isolated from 9 primary biliary cirrhosis patients and 9 age and sex matched healthy controls.Total RNA was extracted from peripheral blood mononuclear cells and analyzed by human genome oligonucleotide microarrays (22K).The differences of gene expression and signaling pathway of patients and healthy controls were compared.Results Seventy-nine genes differentially expressed in primary biliary cirrhosis were identified by microarray analysis,in which 21 were up-regulated and 58 were downregulated.The genes were further categorized into 27 signaling pathways,in which 6 pathways were involved in immune regulation and apoptosis:natural killer cell mediated cytotoxicity pathway,toll-like receptor signaling pathway,antigen processing and presentation pathway,cytokine-cytokine receptor interaction pathway,T cell receptor signaling pathway and apoptosis pathway.Conclusion This study has identified that some genes are different in transcription expression in the primary biliary cirrhosis patients.It may provide new clues for the pathogenesis and biomarker studies.

The expressions of estrogen receptor (ER) α,ERβ1,and ERβ2 in thyroid carcinoma,thyroid adenoma,and adjacent normal thyroid tissue were determined by RT-PCR and immunohistochemistry,and the relationship of expression levels of three ERs and the main clinical pathologic parameters were evaluated.The result showed that ERα mRNA expression in papillary thyroid carcinoma(PTC) tissues was significantly higher than adjacent normal tissue,while,ERβ2 mRNA expression in PTC tissues was significantly lower than normal tissue ( P＜0.05 ).The positive expression of ERβ1 and ERβ2 in the thyroid carcinoma was related with the histological variant of carcinomas; the ERβ2 expressions were related with the lymph node metastasis and TNM staging of the carcinomas.These results suggest that the decreased ERβ2 expression may induce proliferation and carcinogenesis of thyroid follicular epithelial cells as well as progression of the carcinoma,and is a powerful prognostic indicator.

Objective To observe the effect of the human umbilical cord blood-derived stromal cells(hUCBDSCs)and multiple myeloma bone marrow stromal cells(MM BMSCs)on the biological characteristics of KM3 cells.Methods After KM3 cells were co-cultured with hUCBDSCs or MM BMSCs,the proliferation,cell cycle and the apoptotic rate were determined by growth curve plotting and flow cytometry respectively.Real-time Q-PCR was used to measure the mRNA expressions of Bcl-2 and Bax.Results As compared with MM BMSCs,hUCBDSCs markedly suppressed the proliferation of the KM3 cells.KM3 cells in the KM3/MM-BMSCs co-culture group were arrested in G0/G1 phrase,while KM3 cells in the KM3/hUCBDSCs co-culture group predominantly in S phrase.The apoptotic rate of KM3 cells in the KM3/hUCBDSC co-culture group were higher than that in the KM3/MM-BMSCs co-culture group.Conclusion In comparison with MM BMSCs,hUCBDSCs inhibit the proliferation of KM3 cells and promote the apoptosis.

Objective To understand the levels of psychological distress in patients with lung cancer,and analyze the reason and influential factors. Methods The general information of the patients and the distress thermometer(DT) were used to carry out the cross-sectional study in 117 patients with lung cancer received treatments from September 2013 to January 2014. Results The score of psychological distress in patients with lung cancer was (3.10±1.70) points,and 56 patients (47.9%) had the significant psychological distress (DT score≥4 points). The main cause of lung cancer psychological distress ranking in the top 10, in turn, was fear, pain, fatigue, sleep problems, fear, tension, economic problems, eating, breathing, constipation. Mutiple linear regression analysis showed that the number of chemotherapy, age, vocation could affect the total score of distress. Conclusions The patients with lung cancer have obvious psychological distress. Emotional and physical problems of the patients are the main reason of psychological distress of patients with lung cancer.The number of chemotherapy,age,vocation of the patients are related to the psychological distress of patients with lung cancer.

Objective: To establish the quality control standard of Xiangshapingwei Pills (Rhizoma Atracylodis Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae Cortex Magnoliae Officinalis Radix Aucklandiae etc.)Methods: Rhizoma Atractylodis , Radix Auklandiae, Cortex Magnoliae Officinalis, Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae in Xingshapingwei Pills were identified by TLC. The content of hesperidin in Xiangshapingwei Pills was determined by RP HPLC with C 18 reversed phase column, mobile phase (methanol∶water∶acetic acid=30∶65∶5),detection wavelength at 283nm and flow rate 1.0mL?min -1 .Results: Hesperidin showed a good linear relationship at a rang of 0.8～4.0?g. r = 0.9993 . The average recovery was 96.7%, and RSD was 2.42%.Conclusion: The method is accurate and quick, and can be used for the quality control of Xiangshapingwei Pills.

The structures were elucidated on the basis of physico-chemical properties and spectral data as 1beta-hydroxy-1 ,2-dihydro-alpha-santonin (1) , boscialin (2) , blumenol C (3), 3beta-hydroxy-5alpha, 6alpha-epoxy-7-megastigmen-9-one(4), dehydrovomifoliol(5) , blumenol A(6), (1'S,2R,5S, 10R) -2-(1', 2'-dihydroxy-l1'-methylethyl) -6,10-dimethylspiro[4,5] dec-6-en-8-one(7) , (1'R,2R,5S,10R)-2-( 1',2'-dihydroxy-l '-methylethyl) -6,1 l0-dimethylspiro[4,5]dec-6-en-8-one( 8) , 2-(1',2'-dihydroxy-1 '-methylethyl) -6,1 0-dimethyl-9-hydroxyspiro [4,5] dec-6-en-8-one (9) , and grasshopper ketone (10). Compounds 1-10 were isolated from this plant for the first time.

Objective: To analyze the quality of the first permanent molars pit and fissure sealant for school-aged children in Xi'an from 2010 to 2018, and to provide a reference for preventing dental caries. Methods: A total of 5 871 children were selected from different regions from 2010 to 2018 by cluster random sampling method for the quality inspection of pit and fissure sealant. Results: The quality of pit and fissure sealant has been improved by year in Xi'an ( χ 2=1 326.39, P <0.01). The rate of intact sealant was 92.57% in 2018. The quality of project and reservation rate in rural areas(64.23%, 76.83%) were worse than those in urban (84.17%, 90.80%) and suburban areas(84.21%, 91.88%)( χ 2=310.58, 296.52, P <0.01); The quality of pit and fissure sealant was highest in tertiary hospitals(87.28%, 91.07%), followed by private hospitals(84.60%, 91.43%), primary hospitals(84.42%, 92.02%), secondary hospitals(72.79%, 84.45%)( P <0.01). Conclusion The quality of pit and fissure sealant in Xi'an reached the national requirement, but there is obvious gap between town and country, the quality of project varied substantially across medical institutions .Training and supervision should be strengthened in the future work.

Objective To investigate the effect of tea polyphenols on global cerebral ischemia reperfusion injury in rats.Method Forty-five pathogen-free male SD rats weighing 180-220 g were randomly divided into 3 groups( n =15 each):sham operation group (group S),cerebral ischemia reperfusion group (group IR) and tea polyphenols group (group TP).Global cerebral ischemia reperfusion injury was establish by four-vessel occlusion method.At 24 h of reperfusion,five rats were chosen and Evan's blue(EB) was injected iv,and then sacrificed and brain was removed for determination of EB content; another five rats were sacrificed and brain was removed for determination of water content; five rats were chosen for Morris water maze test.Result Compared with group S,EB content and water content in brain tissue were increased in groups IR and 'rP,and escape latency was prolonged,frequency of crossing the original platform was reduced in group IR ( P ＜ 0.05 ).Compared with group IR,EB content and water content in brain tissue were decreased,and escape latency was shortened,frequency of crossing the original platform was increased in group Tp ( P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Tea polyphenols can attenuate global cerebral ischemia reperfusion injury in rats.
