1.Incidence of depression and its related factors in cryptorchidism patients after surgical treatment.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the incidence of depression and its etiological factors in patients with cryptorchidism 6-16 years after surgical treatment.
METHODSUsing Self-Rating Depression Scale and Correlation Factor Questionnaire, we investigated the incidence of depression symptoms among 70 patients with cryptorchidism 6-16 years after surgical treatment and another 70 healthy males as controls, and analyzed the related factors of depression symptoms.
RESULTSThe incidence rate of depression symptoms was 50% in the cryptorchidism patients postoperatively, extremely significantly higher than 4.3% in the control group (χ2 = 23.5, P <0.01). Multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that the main risk factors of depression symptoms were worries about natural fertility (F = 15.8992, P <0.01), dissatisfaction with scrotal appearance (F = 4.6003, P <0.05), and the status of being married (F = 4.1002, P <0.05).
CONCLUSIONSymptoms of depression often occur in cryptorchidism patients after operation, and the major etiological factors are infertility, dissatisfaction with scrotal appearance, and the status of being married.

2.Test analysis of physical precision of SGS-1 ?-knife treatment system

This paper is to test the physical precision of SGS-I?-knife treatment system. The total positional precision and?-treatement planning system (?-TPS) planning misdose are tested by film and ionization chamber. The precision of head target location is less than 0.88mm. The body target is less than 1.52mm. The error of single target point between the measured and the predicted doses is less than 0.52% and the error of multi target points is less than 3%. The isodose distribution (on axial plane) from the film is consistent with the predicted one. So, SGS-I?-knife can meet clinical requirements.
3.Effects of desflurane on delayed rectifier potassium currents in rat parietal cortical neurons

Objective To investigate the effects of desflurane on the delayed rectifier potassium current (Ik ) in acutely dissociated rat parietal cortical neurons. Methods Wistar rats between 10- and 14-day old of both sexes were used. The parietal cortical neurons were acutely dissociated enzymatically. The extracellular fluid saturated with 0.3,0.6 and 0.9 mmol/L desflurane was added to the culture dish, then the effects of different concentrations of desflurane on Ik were investigated by using the whole-cell patch-clamp technique in acutely dissociated rat parietal cortical neurons. Results IK was inhibited by desflurane in a concentration-dependent manner ( P <0.01). The V1/2 of the activation and inactivation curves and the slop factor had no change after giving 0.6 mmol/L desflurane (P > 0.05). Conclusion Desflurane inhibits delayed rectifier potassium channels of parietal cortical neurons of rats in a concentration-dependent manner, and has no effect on the activation and inactivation of delayed rectifier potassium channels, indicating that the change in the excitability of the channel is not involved in the mechanism of inhibitory effect of desflurane, and the other reasons may be involved in the mechanism.
4.Magnifying endoscopy with narrow-band imaging for early gastric cancer diagnosis

Objective To evaluate magnifying endoscopy combined with narrow-band imaging ( ME-NBI) for diagnosis of early gastric cancer (EGC).Methods A total of 150 focal lesions from 143 patients over 35 years old identified by white light endoscopy (WLE) from March 2010 to December 2010 in our tertiary referential institution were recruited in the prospective study with written informed consent.Focal lesions were defined as any small local mucosa with abnormal shape or color based on an assessment of findings of WLE without any specified criteria, including superficial, depressed and elevated lesions.The patients with local advanced gastric cancer, submucosal lesions and history of gastrectomy were excluded from the study.All the patients received ME-NBI.Based on literature, national criteria of early diagnosis with ME-NBI were established.All the lesions underwent biopsy and pathological examination.Diagnostic accuracy of ME-NBI for EGC was assessed with reference to histopathology.Results In 150 focal lesions, 19 were pathologically diagnosed as EGC, 8 of which were treated by endoscopic resection and 11 were resected surgically.The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value (PPV), negative predictive value (NPV) and accuracy of conventional WLE for diagnosing EGC were 94.7%, 53.4%, 22.8%, 98.6% and 58.7%, respectively.The counterparts of ME-NBI for diagnosing EGC were 73.7%, 99.2%, 93.3%, 96.3% and 96.0%, respectively.The diagnostic accuracy of ME-NBI was significantly better than that of conventional WLE (96.0% vs.58.7%, P<0.05).With regard to the findings of EGC on ME-NBI, irregular or absent microsurface pattern and microvascular pattern were characteristic features of EGC.Conclusion Conventional WLE is still an important and mandatory screening modality, which is significant for further procedures of suspected lesions, preferably accompanied with biopsy.ME-NBI achieved superior accuracy in the differential diagnosis of focal lesions detected with conventional WLE, but needs further verification.
5.Studied of dry matter accumulation and echinacoside content of Cistanche tubulosa in Huabei plain.

OBJECTIVETo give some theory support of Cistanche tubulosa cultivation by searching dry matter accumulation and echinacoside content of C. tubulosa.
METHODDry matter accumulation content of C. tubulosa culturing in Huabei plain was analysed in different growth season of C. tubulosa. Echinacoside content was determined by HPLC.
RESULTDry matter accumulation of C. tubulosa showed "S" variation. Dry matter accumulation increased fastest in September among growing seasons. Dry matter amount was 138.58 g after C. tubulosa grew a year. Dry matter amount decreased significantly along with inoculation time retarded. Echinacoside content was 30.59% when C. tubulosa grew in 5 months, decreased guadully after that, and 9.76% in annual.
CONCLUSIONVariation rule of dry matter accumulation and echinacoside content was found in C. tubulosa that grew one year in Huabei plain.

6.Phonetic parameters analysis of articulated consonant with different denture base.

OBJECTIVETo compare the phonetic parameters changes of titanium denture base materials to that of conventionally processed poly methyl methacrylate (PMMA) resin.
METHODSForty-two edentulous patients were included in this study. Each patient received two sets of dentures. One of the upper denture was restored with titanium denture base, the other was restored with conventional PMMA denture base. Consonant /x, sh, r, zh, ch, j, q/ associated with place of articulation and manner of articulation were chosen and all of the processed acoustic specimens were stored at computerized speech lab (CSL). Model 4150 (KAY) for the first concentrated frequency area (CFA-1), voice onset time (VOT) and spectrogram were analyzed.
RESULTSThe consonant articulation effect of denture base showed significant difference between the two type of dentures in the CSL. The consonant parameters (/x, sh, r, zh, ch, j, q/) CFA-1 of group A [(3595 +/- 102), (3089 +/- 104), (1876 +/- 116), (4078 +/- 116), (3604 +/- 119), (5432 +/- 118), (4934 +/- 121) Hz] was different from the one of group B [(3644 +/- 101), (3280 +/- 88), (1978 +/- 113), (4214 +/- 193), (3817 +/- 49), (5478 +/- 158), (5020 +/- 183) Hz] (P < 0.05). The consonant parameters VOT of /zh, ch, j/ in group A [(54.67 +/- 1.13), (143.80 +/- 2.24), (62.53 +/- 0.75) ms] was different from those of group B [(52.88 +/- 0.34), (137.55 +/- 2.50), (62.00 +/- 1.54) ms] (P < 0.05). The consonant parameters VOT of /g, k/ in group A [(26.94 +/- 0.33), (114.53 +/- 2.15) ms] was different from those of group B [(28.59 +/- 0.65), (124.40 +/- 3.74) ms] (P < 0.05). A redundant spike as it was located prior to the inherent spike could be observed in the /g, k/ spectrogram of the PMMA denture base group.
CONCLUSIONSTitanium denture base is recommended to provide a satisfying form of articulate position with thinner front palate thickness of the denture base. CFA-1 and VOT based CSL are effective acoustic parameters for articulation testing after denture delivery.

7.Acid-sensitive polymer liposomes prepared by poly(2-ethylacrylic acid) alkylamide derivatives.

Poly (2-ethylacrylic acid) (PEAA) alkylamide derivatives were synthesized for constructing pH-sensitive liposomes by partially modification of carboxylic groups of PEAA with chemical reaction. These lipid derivatives of PEAA were synthesized by partially modification of carboxylic groups of PEAA with alkylamines. The acid-sensitive polymer associated liposomes were obtained by the method of polymer self-insertion in aqueous solutions through inserting hydrophobic lipid anchors of the polymer PEAA derivatives into the outer layer of vesicles. Factor effects on polymer insertion into liposomes were evaluated and the pH-sensitivity of the polymer associated liposomes was studied by calcein release assay. The PEAA-assoeiated-liposomes were prepared successfully by the methods of self-insertion. The PEAA-associated-liposomes are shown to be stable at neutral pH. (1) There was no correlate of anchor density of PEAA with length of the alkyl chain, but was positively correlated with the degree of PEAA modification. (2) Polymer insertion increased with initial ratio of polymer to lipid. (3) Unerting hydrophobic lipidr acidic conditions the associated polymer induces membrane disruption and fusion. (4) The PEAA-associated-liposomes shown pH-sensitive drug release property under acidic conditions. The anchored-poly (ethylacrylic acid) lipid derivatives can be useful in developing a potential pH sensitive drug delivery system.

8.Association of serum HBV DNA level with cytotoxic T lymphocytes in patients with HBV-induced hepatic cirrhosis.

OBJECTIVETo explore the association of serum HBV DNA level with HBV-specific and nonspecific cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTL) in patients with HBV-induced hepatic cirrhosis.
METHODS120 patients with HBV-induced hepatic cirrhosis who were positive for HBV DNA, HBeAg and human leucocyte antigen (HLA)-A2 were enrolled in this study. The level of HBV DNA was determined by real time fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction (PCR). HBV-specific and nonspecific CTL were detected by flow cytometry. Liver function tests were done in the 120 patients. The 120 patients were divided into group A and B based on their HBV DNA levels. In group A, there were 68 patients with HBV DNA level of 3-4 log10 copy/ml, and in group B, 52 with 5-6 log10 copy/ml. HBV-specific and nonspecific CTL and liver function were compared between the two groups.
RESULTSHBV DNA levels were (3.68 +/- 0.19) and (5.97 +/- 0.32) log10 copy/ml in Group A and B respectively with P < 0.001. HBV-specific CTL was higher in group A (0.33% +/- 0.04%) than in group B (0.11% +/- 0.01%) with P < 0.001. HBV-nonspecific CTL were (11.99% +/- 1.51% ) and (11.91% +/- 1.61%) in group A and B respectively with P > 0. 05.
CONCLUSIONThe level of serum HBV DNA is related to the levels of HBV-specific CTL in patients with HBV-induced hepatic cirrhosis. Patients with higher HBV DNA had lower levels of HBV-specific CTL, and the damage to liver function was severe because of higher levels of HBV DNA. Patients with lower HBV DNA had higher levels of HBV-specific CTL which predict good anti-viral effect.

9.Relationship between serum HBV DNA level and follicular helper T lymphocyte in patients with chronic hepatitis B and its significance.

OBJECTIVETo explore relationship between HBV DNA level and peripheral blood follicular helper T lymphocyte (Tfh) in patients with chronic hepatitis B (CHB) and its significance.
METHODSHBV DNA levels of 179 cases of CHB patients with positive HBV DNA, positive HBeAg and positive human leukocyte antigen(HLA)-A2 were tested with real time fluorescent quantitative PCR. Tfh and HBV specific CTL were tested with flow cytometry. IL-21 was also tested. 179 cases of CHB patients were divided into group A and group B based on HBV DNA levels, 86 cases in group A, HBV DNA levels were 10(4)-10(5) copies/ml, 93 cases in group B, HBV DNA levels were 10(6)-10(7) copies/ml. Above testing indexes of the two groups were compared.
RESULTSHBV DNA levels of group A were (4.85 +/- 0.37) log10 copies/ml, HBV DNA levels of group B were (6.83 +/- 0.31 ) log10 copies/ml, t = 27.31, P < 0. 001; Tfh of group A was (5.96 +/- 1.59)%, higher than that of group B (3.71 +/- 2.15)%, t = 4.92, P < 0.01; IL-21 of group A was (42.61 +/- 15.11)ng/L, higher than that of group B (14.91 +/- 3.15) ng/L, t = 8.62, P < 0.01; HBV specific CTL of group A was (0.36 +/- 0.08)%, higher than that of group B (0.18 +/- 0.06)%, t = 19.99, P < 0.001.
CONCLUSIONSerum HBV DNA level of CHB patients is related to the level of peripheral blood Tfh level: patients with low HBV DNA level have high Tfh level, high IL-21 level and high HBV specific CTL level. Patients with high HBV DNA level have low Tfh level, low IL-21 level and low HBV specific CTL level. The mechanism of baseline HBV DNA level affecting anti-viral therapy may be related to Tfh level.

10.Discovering L-type calcium channels inhibitors of antihypertensive drugs based on drug repositioning.

This study was amid to construct the pharmacophore model of L-type calcium channel antagonist in the application of screening Drugbank and TCMD. This paper repositions the approved drugs resulting from virtual screening and discusses the relocation-based drug discovery methods, screening antihypertensive drugs with L-type calcium channel function from TCMD. Qualitative hypotheses wre generated by HipHop separately on the basis of 12 compounds with antagonistic action on L-type calcium channel expressed in rabbit cardiac muscle. Datebase searching method was used to evaluate the generated hypotheses. The optimum hypothesis was used to search Drugbank and TCMD. This paper repositions the approved drugs and evaluates the antihypertensive effect of the chemical constituent of traditional Chinese medicine resulting from virtual screening by the matching score and literature. The results showed that optimum qualitative hypothesis is with six features, which were two hydrogen-bond acceptors, four hydrophobic groups, and the CAI value of 2.78. Screening Drugbank achieves 93 approved drugs. Screening TCMD achieves 285 chemical constituents of traditional Chinese medicine. It was concluded that the hypothesis is reliable and can be used to screen datebase. The approved drugs resulting from virtual screening, such as pravastatin, are potentially L-type calcium channels inhibitors. The chemical constituents of traditional Chinese medicine, such as Arctigenin III and Arctigenin are potentially antihypertensive drugs. It indicates that Drug Repositioning based on hypothesis is possible.
