Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a group of intestinal chronic non-specific inflammatory disease with unknown etiology, and includes ulcerative colitis (UC) and Crohn''s disease (CD).Studies have indicated that environmental factor, genetic factor, disorder of immunity are associated with the pathogenesis of IBD.More and more basic and clinical studies focus on treatment with helminths in IBD.The accumulated evidences have shown that helminths infection has beneficial effects on the alleviation of IBD and is relatively safe.This article reviewed the advances in study on helminths in the treatment of IBD.

Objective To study the agreement of the two kinds of assessment for neurological development, the Qualitative Assessment of General Movements (GMs) and the 52 Items Neurological Assessment from Birth to 1 Year, in preterm infants during the early infantile period. Methods16 preterm infants with or without risk factors for brain injury were assessed with GMs and the 52 Items Neurological Assessment from Birth to 1 Year within 3 months after birth. ResultsFor the GMs, 11 infants were assessed as normal, 4 as poor repertoire (PR) and 1 as cramped synchronized (CS). For the 52 Items Neurological Assessment from Birth to 1 Year, 12 infants were normal, 4 were moderate abnormal. Kappa=0.709.ConclusionThe result of GMs agrees with that of 52 Items Neurological Assessment from Birth to 1 Year for preterm infants during the early infantile period.

Objective To make a molecular genetic analysis in a Chinese family with piebaldism,in order to find the causative mutation of this disease.Methods DNA and RNA were extracted from blood samples of the proband and other 13 members in this family.Ploymerase chain reaction (PCR),reverse transcription PCR and DNA sequencing were performed to detect the mutation of kit gene.Results A novel heterozygous mutation c.2472+1G>A in kit gene.which leads to the loss of 3' splicing site in exon 17 followed by the absence of exon 17,was found in all affected members,but not in an unaffected member in the family.Conclusion The novel mutation c.2472+1G>A may be associated with piebaldism initiation in this family.

Objective To investigate the expression of CD147 and its significance in human cervical carcinoma. Methods Western blotting and immunohistochemical staining were used to detect CD147 expression in cervical cancer or normal cervix uteri tissues. Results CD147 protein was expressed in all of cervical carcinomas (41/41, 100.0%) and most of normal cervix uteri tissues (11/12, 91.7%). CD147 with different molecular weights were present in cervical tissues. The percentage of CD147-positive cells and the expressional level of CD147 were higher in cervical carcinomas than in normal cervix (P<0.05). Conclusion CD147 might be recognized as a marker of cell proliferation. High expression of CD147 in cervical carcinomas suggests that it might be a potential target for cervical carcinoma therapy.

Objective This study was undertaken to evaluate the safety of the polyglycolic/polylactic acid(PGLA)-coated Matrix detachable coils(Matrix) and analyze factors which may relate to the recanalization rate of the Matrix coils in the treatment of intracranial aneurysms. Methods 75 patients underwent 79 aneurysm treatments with Matrix coils from May 2003 to July 2005 were retrospectively investigated.Morphological changes were compared postoperatively with last-follow-up digital subtraction angiography(DSA)by using the Raymond scale. We defined incomplete recanalization or stable aneurysms as uncured , while those of progressive occlusion or complete occlusion aneurysms demonstrated on the last-follow-up imagings as cured. We also utilized Cox model for analyzing the relationships between factors including age, gender, degree of aneurysmal occlusion, stenting, aneurysm neck size, aneurysm maximum size and Matrix coils length(%)and the long-term angiographic follow-up results. Results The correlative surgical complications rate with Matrix coils was 13.3%. The total rate of recanalization was 11.4%. Large aneurysms treated with combined stenting got 40% recanalization. No statistic relationships were shown between the factors forementioned and the recanalization rate, but progressive occlusion was observed in 11(61%)incompletely treated aneurysms. Conclusions Matrix detachable coil technique is safe for intracranial aneurysm and would further decrease the recurrence of large aneurysm with combination of stenting but long term efficacy needs further follow-up and large scale randomized control study.

The ingredients of five kinds of Zhejiang's yellow Chrysanthemum morifolium with different flower blossoming stages were comparatively analyzed. Polysaccharides, total flavonoids, volatile oil, alcohol extract, water extract, chlorogenic acid, luteolin, 3,5-O-dicaffeoyl quinic acid and fingerprint of the ingredient were determined as indicators. During flower blossoming stages, the ingredients of Ch. morifolium showed a big difference with a certain variation. At the early opening stage, the contents of flavonoids and volatile oil were higher, the content of chlorogenic acid, luteolin, 3,5-O-dicaffeoyl quinic acid were higher in the middle of the flowers 50% -80% fowers blossoming degree is the optimal time for harvest.

Objective:To investigate the quantification of CD4~+CD25~+ regulatory T cells and distribution of CD4~+CD8~+ T lymphocyte subgroup in peripheral blood of patients in chronic hepatitis B (CHB),and to reveal relationship between CD4~+CD25~+ regulatory T cells,CD4~+CD8~+ T lymphocyte subgroup and HBV infetion as well.Methods:CD4~+CD25~(high),CD4~+CD25~+Foxp3~+Treg and CD3~+CD4~+CD8~+T lymphocyte subgroup in peripheral blood from 50 patients with CHB and 20 healthy controls was analyzed using flow cytometry.HBV DNA was detected by fluorescence quantitative PCR.Results:The number of CD4~+CD25~(high)Tregs in patients with CHB was obviously higher than that in healthy controls(P＜0.01)and increased with copies of HBV DNA.The same with the change of CD4~+CD25~+Foxp3~+Tregs in patients with CHB and there was a positive correlation between CD4~+CD25~(high)Tregs and CD4~+CD25~+Foxp3~+Tregs(r=0.890,P＜0.001).Compared with healthy controls,the frequency of CD4~+T cells and the ratio of CD4~+/CD8~+ in patients with CHB was declined,but there was no significant difference in the frequency of CD3~+T cells and CD8~+T cells between them(P＞0.05).The variation in the number of CD4~+CD25~(high)Tregs was correlated positively with the copies of HBV DNA(r=0.782,P＜0.001)and glutamic-pyruvic transaminase(ALT)(r=0.432,P＜0.005)separately,but negatively with the frequency of CD3~+,CD4~+,CD8~+T cells and the ratio of CD4~+/CD8~+(P＞0.05).The variation in the frequency of CD3~+,CD4~+,CD8~+T cells and the ratio of CD4~+/CD8~+ was also correlated negatively with the copies of HBV DNA(P＞0.05).Conclusion:The number of CD4~+CD25~(high)Tregs increases in patients with CHB and is in accordance with the copies of HBV DNA and increased level of ALT.Further studies should be done to investigate weather CD4~+CD8~+ T lymphocyte subgroup could be used to monitor the state of community.

Objective To investigate DSA- estimated hepatic arterial hemodynamics of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) determined shortly after transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) plus sorafenib treatment. Methods The clinical data of thirty HCC patients treated with TACE were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were divided into study group (n = 13) and control group (n = 17). Patients in the study group received additional oral administration of 400mg sorafenib twice a day one week before or two weeks after TACE procedure, while patients in the control group received TACE only. The initial DSA images as well as the images obtained at three months after TACE were analyzed. With the help of Photoshop software, the grey gradient of the tumor staining was measured on the series dynamic DSA images, based on which the time- density curve of the tumor was drawn. The peak density value (PV), the time to reach the peak (TP) and the slope of the upslope (SU) were determined, and the results were compared between the two groups. Results Photoshop software was used to measure the grey density values of the tumor staining on DSA images. In the study group, the post- treatment PV was smaller than the pre- treatment one, which were (38.0 ± 14.6) and (46.7 ± 18.4) respectively, the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P = 0.040). The post- treatment PV of the study group was also smaller than that of the post -treatment PV of the control group (54.4 ± 19.8), and the difference between the two was also statistically significant (P = 0.011). No significant differences in TP values and SU values existed between the two groups as well as between the pre - treatment and post - treatment ones in each group. Conclusion After TACE.

Objective To identify the level of Post-traumatic Stress Disorder(PTSD) among emergency nurses and its relationship to exposure to traumatic events in work. Methods The questionnaire and standardised measures were used to investigate the level of PTSD in the third class of general hospital of Changsha and the effect of the traumatic events on it was analysed. Results 38 out of the 193 objects were detected to be positive PTSD, and the positive rate was 19.7%. Spearman correlation analysis showed that there were positive correlations between PTSD and traumatic events (P < 0. 01). Condusions It was higher that the level of PTSD of emergency nurses in the third class of general hospital of Changsha, and traumatic events of work was the most important reason that resulted in PTSD.

Objective To establish a simple and economic method for isolating rat hepatic lipocytes. Method Perfusion of the rat liver with pronase E and collagenase in succession was performed in cycles, and the hepatic lipocytes were isolated and purified by digesting the rat liver with DNase in the presence of the above 3 enzymes, followed by 11% Necodenz density gradient centrifugation. The resulted lipocytes were subjected to routine identification procedures and viability assessment. Results The yield of the lipocytes from each rat was 2×107 to 3×107, with viability over 95% and purity above 90%. Conclusion The method adopted in this study is simple, economic and highly productive.
