International Eye Science 2016;16(11):2063-2066
AIM:To compare the clinical efficacy of three combined surgical treatments for cataract induced by silicone oil -filled eye.
METHODS: The data of 75 eyes of 75 patients with cataract induced by silicone oil-filled eye were reviewed. Those patients were divided into group A, B, C. The patients in group A were treated by phacoemulsification combined with silicone oil removal through pupil and IOL implantation, the patients in group B were treated by phacoemulsification combined with silicone oil removal through 23G vitrectomy system and IOL implantation, the patients in group C were treated by phacoemulsification combined with silicone oil removal through 20G vitrectomy system and IOL implantation. The operation time, intraocular pressure, best corrected visual acuity ( BCVA ) , discomfort days and complications before and after the surgery were compared.
RESULTS: The differences of the intraocular pressure were not statistically significant between the three groups after the surgery. The BCVA of the three groups were all improved, but the differences were not statistically significant between three groups. The differences in postoperative complications showed no statistically significant. Otherwise, group A and B cost less operation time. The discomfort days of group A were less than other groups.
CONCLUSION: Three different surgical methods were safe and effective, appropriate surgical approach could be chosen according to the patients' clinical manifestations. For patients with cataract induced by silicone oil-filled eye whose retina recovered well, phacoemulsification combined with silicone oil removal through pupil and IOL implantation is a time-saving, safe and effective method.

Objective To study the mechanism of acupuncture combined with herb decoction for brain occlusion. Methods one-side middle cerebral artery occlusion (McAo) rat by ehermoregulation was used as focal cerebral ischemia experimental animal. All animals were divided into four groups as model group, acupuncture group, herb decoction group, acupuncture combined with herb decoction group. And the dynamic changes of c-fos protein in ischemia region of brain tissue after treatment were observed. Results All of acupuncture group, herb decoction group and combining group could enhance the expression of c-fos protein in all stages of ischemia, and combining group was enhanced significantly. Conclusion Compared with herb decoction or acupuncture, the method of acupuncture combined with herb decoction could improved the stress ability of nerve cells of acute brain ischemia by enhance the content of c-fos protein significantly.

Objective The aims of this study were to investigate the prognostic value of CEA and CA19-9 expression in advanced gastric cancer and the prognostic factors of advanced gastric cancer. Methods A total of 255 patients with advanced gastric cancer who underwent radical R0 radical surgery were enrolled in the Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery,Harbin Medical University Cancer Hospital from January 2010 to December 2010,and were divided into group A(CEA<2.19ng/mL and CA19-9<10.78U/mL),group B(CEA≥2.19ng/mL or CA19-9≥10.78U/mL)and group C(CEA≥2.19ng/mL and CA19-9≥10.78U/mL).These groups were analyzed the differences in gastric cancer patients with clinical pathology and survival, and prognostic factors of patients with advanced gastric cancer factors. Results There were statistically significant differences in clinical N staging, clinical TNM staging and pathological TNM staging in three groups of patients with advanced gastric cancer(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the median survival time in three groups of patients with advanced gastric cancer(P>0.05).The 1-year,3-year and 5-year survival rates of group A were higher than those of group B and group C(P>0.05).The factors affecting the prognosis of gastric cancer included the degree of tumor differentiation, pathological T staging, pathological TNM staging, the total number of lymph nodes, the number of positive lymph nodes and lymph node metastasis. Conclusion Combined detection of CEA and CA19-9 expression indicates a certain reference value for prognosis of gastric cancer.
5.Application of 23 G minimally invasive vitreous cutting system in the first stage of anterior segment reconstruction on severe ocular injury
International Eye Science 2014;(8):1529-1530
AIM: To evaluate the use of 23G minimally invasive vitreous cutting system in the first stage of anterior segment reconstruction on severe ocular injury.
METHODS: Fifteen patients with ocular injuries including the corneal and scleral rupture associated hyphema, vitreous hernia in anterior chamber, traumatic lens rupture, lens subluxation, applied 23G minimally invasive vitreous cutting system in the first stage of anterior segment reconstruction.
RESULTS: The anterior ocular media of early postoperative became transparent quickly. No exudative lemma and no complications were found relate to puncture incisions after operations.
CONCLUSION:23G minimally invasive vitreous cutting system can be used in the first stage of anterior segment reconstruction on sever ocular injury. It can reduce iatrogenic injury, operative complications and inflammatory response, also can shorten therapeutic time and create favorable conditions.

Bufalin is an active compound of the traditional Chinese medicine Chansu, which exhibits significant anti-tumor activities in many solid tumors and leukemia cell lines. Bufalin could introduce apoptosis, reverse drug-resistance, and prevent migration and invasion of tumor cells. This paper reviewed the latest research progress of the in vitro and in vivo anti-tumor effect and mechanism of bufalin on a series of cancers, such as hepatocellular carcinoma, lung cancer, colon cancer, gastric cancer, leukemia, bladder cancer, and its formulation study is also summarized for the reference of its further study and application.

Chinese Journal of Analytical Chemistry 2015;(1):87-92
A rapid detection method of 16 preservative residues in vegetables for export was developed by gas chromatography_mass spectrometry ( GC_MS ) after pre_treatment method of dispersive solid phase extraction ( SPE) . Samples including leafy, eggplant fruit, bean, melon and tuber vegetables were extracted with acetonitrile and detected by GC/MS with external standard method after being cleaned up with dispersive SPE. The results showed that the method had a good linearity over concentration range of 0 . 02-2 . 0 mg/L preservatives with correlation coefficients of 0 . 9990-0 . 9997 . The limits of detection ( LODs ) were in the range of 0. 004-0. 965 μg/kg. The recoveries of the preservatives were in the range of 76. 7%-120. 0% at the spiked levels of 0. 01, 0. 02 and 1. 00 mg/kg, and the relative standard deviations ( RSDs) were in the range of 2. 1%-10. 6%. Compared with the GB/T 19648_2006, etc, the method is rapid, simple, highly sensitive, and can meet testing requirements of 16 preservative residues in vegetables for export.

Objective To evaluate the applied value of functional immunity measured by the ImmunKnow assay in the diagnosis of post-transplant infection in Chinese 1iver recipients. Methods Thirty-eight normal adults and 68 adult liver transplant recipients were under investigation.Whole blood samples from either normal volunteers(each sample for one person)or the liver recipients(one or more samples for one person)were collected freshly and cultured within 6h.The CD4+T cells were selected and their ATP value was assayed the next day.The liver recipients were grouped in stable status(n=52)or infection(n=64)according tO their clinieal manifestation. Results The average ATP value in the recipients with infection after liver transplantation was 165.7±100 μg/L,significantly lower(P<0.05)than that in stable recipients(309±126 μg/L)or normal volunteers (292±83 μg/L).The low ATP levels in post-transplant recipients had fair good correlation to infection clinically(RR=0.5021,P<0.01).Infectious risk was high when ATP value was less than 165μg/L(OR=11,95%CI 3.9-32.2,P<0.01).Specificity and sensitivity of low ATP value in post-transplant infection were 86.53%and 73.81% respectively,Conclusion ImmuKnow assay provides a new tool in monitoring immune status in post-transplant recipients, and call helpfully predict and diagnose clinical infection.
