Objective:To analyze and summarize the commonalities and patterns in acupoint selection for moxibustion treatment of asthma. Methods: Data retrieval was conducted using ‘moxibustion’ and ‘asthma’ as the keywords through China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Wanfang Academic Journal Full-text Database (Wanfang) and Chongqing VIP Database (CQVIP). Excel 2010 was used to establish the major acupoint database for moxibustion prescriptions in treatment of asthma; data mining methods including association patterns and clustering were adopted to analyze the characteristics and patterns in acupoint selection for moxibustion treatment of asthma. Results: A total of 161 moxibustion prescriptions were recruited. The most commonly used acupoint was Feishu (BL 13), the most commonly used meridian was the Bladder Meridian of Foot Taiyang, and the most commonly treated region was the back. The association rule analysis showed that Feishu (BL 13)-Dazhui (GV 14)-Fengmen (BL 12) had the most significant correlation, and the clustering analysis discovered 5 effective acupoint clusters. Conclusion: In moxibustion treatment of asthma, topical acupoints Feishu (BL 13), Dazhui (GV 14) and Fengmen (BL 12) can be selected, along with the acupoints from the Bladder Meridian of Foot Taiyang and the back.

Objective:To observe the influence of multi-disciplinary cooperation and optimization management mode on the negative situation and rehabilitation effect of patients with affective disorder after coronary heart disease and cerebrovascular disease. Methods:A total of 188 patients with emotional disorders caused by coronary heart disease and cerebrovascular disease from January 2017 to December 2018 to our hospital were selected. According to the random number method, 94 cases in the control group adopted the conventional management model, and 94 cases in the experimental group adopted the multidisciplinary collaborative optimization management model. The negative emotions [evaluated by Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS), Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS) ] scores before and after management, the coping style (Jalowies) scores, and quality of life [evaluated by World Health Organization Quality of Life-Brief (WHOQOL-BREF) ] scores were compared between the two groups. The clinical rehabilitation effect and satisfaction rate of related management between the two groups were compared. Results:There were no significant differences between the two groups before management of SAS scores, SDS scores, Jalowies scores, and WHOQOL-BREF quality of life scores ( P> 0.05). After management, the SAS scores and SDS scores of the two groups were significantly reduced, and the Jalowies scores and WHOQOL-BREF quality of life scores were significantly increased. After management, the SAS score and SDS score of the experimental group were 47.32±5.68, 49.93±6.49 and 54.95±6.59, 55.33±8.30 in the control group, the difference was significant between two groups ( t value was 8.503, 4.969, P<0.01). The Jalowies scores and WHOQOL-BREF scores of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group ( t value was -27.662--4.290, P<0.01). The total effective rate of rehabilitation in the experimental group was 98.94%(93/94), which was significantly higher than 90.43%(85/94) in the control group, the difference was statistically significant ( χ2 value was 6.760, P <0.05). The total satisfaction rate of the experimental group for management intervention was 100.00%(94/94), which was significantly higher than the total satisfaction rate of the control group, 91.49%(86/94), the difference was statistically significant ( χ2 value was 6.397, P <0.05). Conclusions:In the patients with affective disorder caused by coronary heart disease and cerebrovascular disease, multi-disciplinary cooperation and optimization management mode can significantly reduce the negative emotions of patients after management, improve the way of patients to deal with the disease, effectively improve the clinical rehabilitation effect and the quality of life of patients, improve the satisfaction rate of patients with management, shorten the distance between nurses and patients, and achieve ideal results.

Objective: To observe the effect of moxibustion at Feishu (BL 13) on related inflammatory cells and inflammatory factors in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid of asthma model rats, and to explore the mechanism of moxibustion in treating asthma. Methods: A total of 48 Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats were randomly divided into a normal group, a model group, a moxibustion group and a medication group, with 12 rats in each group. Except for the normal group, the rats in the other three groups were subjected to ovalbumin sensitization to stimulate the asthma. At the same time, rats in the moxibustion group received moxibustion at bilateral Feishu (BL 13), and rats in the medication group received dexamethasone by intragastric administration. Rats in the normal and the model groups only received the same fixation and normal saline by intragastric administration. After the interventions, the inspiratory resistance, the expiratory resistance, and the pulmonary compliance were measured for rats in each group; the numbers of the inflammatory cells in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid were counted; the levels of the involved inflammatory factors in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid were detected; the pathological morphologies of the lung tissues were observed under light microscope. Results: After modeling, compared with the normal group, the rats in the model group showed obvious asthma attack-like response, significantly increased inspiratory resistance and expiratory resistance (both P<0.01), and significantly reduced pulmonary compliance (P<0.01); thickened tracheal wall and the narrowed tracheal lumen observed under the light microscope; infiltration of inflammatory cells and increased eosinophils in and around the tracheal wall; significantly increased total number of inflammatory cells and proportion of eosinophils in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (all P<0.01); significantly reduced levels of interleukin (IL)-10, IL-12 and interferon (IFN)-γ (all P<0.01), and significantly increased levels of IL-4, IL-5 and tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α (all P<0.01) in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid. After intervention, compared with the model group, rats in the moxibustion and the medication groups showed significantly reduced asthma-like reaction, pathological morphological damage of lung tissue, inspiratory resistance and expiratory resistance (all P<0.01); significantly increased pulmonary compliance (P<0.01); significantly reduced total number of inflammatory cells, proportion of eosinophils, levels of IL-4, IL-5 and TNF-α in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (P<0.05 or P<0.01), while significantly increased IL-12 and IFN-γ levels (all P<0.01) in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid; rats in the medication group also showed a significantly reduced IL-10 level in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (P<0.01); there was no statistically significant difference between the moxibustion and the medication groups (all P>0.05). Conclusion: Both moxibustion at Feishu (BL 13) and intragastric administration of dexamethasone can improve the asthma attack-like symptoms of ovalbumin-sensitized rats; regulating the inflammatory cell numbers and the inflammatory factor contents in the lung may be one mechanism of moxibustion in treating asthma.

This study is to screen the Chinese herbal compounds which could inhibit the production of Abeta and investigate the underlying mechanism. Ten types of compounds which have potential value in the treatment of AD were selected as initial screening trial. The cell models which used could overexpress Abeta and beta-secretases or Abeta and gamma-secretases. Extracellular Abeta was determined by ELISA after the cell models treated with different concentrations of compounds (0.5-100 micromol x L(-1)), separately. Then the compounds were selected which could inhibit extracellular Abeta and their best concentration ranges were decided, too. Furthermore, the cell viability and apoptosis rate, the level of intracellular Abeta, beta and gamma-secretases were determined after the cell models treated with different concentrations of selected compounds. The results showed that 4 of the 10 compounds could reduce the level of extracellular Abeta; they were cryptotanshinone, astragalosides, gastrodin and paeoniflorin, and their best concentration ranges were 0.5-5.0, 0.5-5.0, 5.0-50, 1.0-25 micromol x L(-1), respectively. Further study indicated that the 4 selected compounds were nontoxic to the cellular models and lowering intracellular Abeta were more effective compared with extracellular; of which astragalosides and gastrodin showed dose-dependent inhibition to the activities of beta and gamma-secretases, with the maximum inhibiting rates of 78.2% and 80.3%, respectively. In conclusion, cryptotanshinone, astragalosides, gastrodin and paeoniflorin could inhibit the expression and secretion of Abeta, and the underlying inhibiting mechanism of astragalosides and gastrodin were related with the reduction of the beta and gamma-secretase activities, respectively.

Journal of Environmental and Occupational Medicine 2023;40(2):184-189
Background Previous studies using meta-analysis to explore the relationship between air pollution exposure and ischemic stroke (IS) mostly focus on particulate matter-related themes, few include gaseous pollutants in the study, and subgroup analyses of factors such as different lag days, seasons, and genders are rarely been reported. Objective To quantitatively evaluate the relationships between short-term exposures to 6 common air pollutants, including fine particulate matter (PM2.5), inhalable particulate matter (PM10), carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), sulfur dioxide (SO2), and ozone (O3), and the incidence of IS. Methods A systematic search was conducted to collect literature studying the 6 common air pollutants and IS published up to May 1, 2022 in 6 databases (China Journal Full-text Database, China Biology Medicine Disc, PubMed, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, and Embase). Literature quality evaluation was performed using the Newcastle-Ottawa Scale. Stata 16.0 software was used to conduct meta-analysis including heterogeneity test, combined effect size, meta-regression, subgroup analysis, sensitivity analysis, and publication bias test. Results A total of 33 articles were qualified for inclusion. The total number of samples included in the literature was 7195631. The meta-analysis results showed that short-term exposures to PM2.5 (OR=1.0082, 95%CI: 1.0049−1.0116), PM10 (OR=1.0017, 95%CI: 1.0008−1.0026), CO (OR=1.0328, 95%CI: 1.0231−1.0426), NO2 (OR=1.0150, 95%CI: 1.0079−1.0222), SO2 (OR=1.0158, 95%CI: 1.0078-1.0238), and O3 (OR=1.0017, 95%CI: 1.0003−1.0032) were associated with an increased risk of IS. PM10 and O3 increased the risk of IS in both lag0 and lag1, while PM2.5, CO, NO2, and SO2 all showed an associated increased risk of IS only in lag0. The results of sensitivity analysis showed stable results for all pollutants studied, and there was no publication bias in the literature on the association of the remaining five pollutants with IS incidence except for the PM2.5-related literature. Conclusion Short-term exposures to PM2.5, PM10, CO, NO2, SO2, and O3 may increase the incidence of IS, with this risk showing the most significant level on the day of IS onset.

National Journal of Andrology 2002;8(4):295-298
Sperm must be capacitated before sperm-ovum fusion. Capacitation was once considered as hyperactivation. But now many investigators thought that capacitation wasn't equal to hyperactivation, and that sperm hyperactivation might be a moiety of capacitation or the result of capacitation. In the present, the methods used to study sperm capacitation include fertilization in vitro, induction of sperm acrosome reaction, FITC-labeled chlortetracycline and plant hemoagglutinin. The studies on sperm capacitation in vitro mainly focused on the inductive substances of sperm capacitation and subsequent results analysis. It could lay foundation for the manifestation of molecular mechanism of sperm capacitation and destination of sperm capacitation in molecular levels.
