0.05). Conclusion When TOFR recovers to 0.55,antagonism of residual neuromuscular blockade is still necessary.Different doses of neostigmine may antagonize vecuronium-induced residual neuromuscular blockade, and lower dose of neostigmine(10-20 ?g/kg) is recommended.

Bufalin is an active compound of the traditional Chinese medicine Chansu, which exhibits significant anti-tumor activities in many solid tumors and leukemia cell lines. Bufalin could introduce apoptosis, reverse drug-resistance, and prevent migration and invasion of tumor cells. This paper reviewed the latest research progress of the in vitro and in vivo anti-tumor effect and mechanism of bufalin on a series of cancers, such as hepatocellular carcinoma, lung cancer, colon cancer, gastric cancer, leukemia, bladder cancer, and its formulation study is also summarized for the reference of its further study and application.

Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 2012;47(1):131-134
This study is undertaken to modify the chitosan nanoparticles (CS-NPs) with wheat germ agglutinin (WGA), and investigate the conjugation between WGA-CS-NPs and N-acetylglucosamine (NAG). CS-NPs were prepared by ionotropic gelation process and then conjugated with WGA under the activation of glutaricdialdehyde. The mean diameter of the CS-NPs was approximately 113.5 nm and the poly-dispersity index (PDI) was 0.18. The binding yield of WGA to CS-NPs was comprised between 27.8% and 87.9% depending mostly on the addition of 0.3% (w/v) glutaraldehyde solution. A competitive inhibition experiment of WGA-CS-NPs to bovine submaxillary gland mucin (BSM) was taken to illuminate the binding activity of WGA-CS-NPs to the sugar of N-acetylglucosamine. After the addition of NAG, the binding rates between CS-NPs and BSM almost didn't change, while the binding rates between WGA-CS-NPs and BSM dropped down significantly, which confirmed the specific binding characteristics of WGA to NAG.

To investigate the chemical constituents of the roots of Aconitum taipaicum, silica gel column chromatography was used for the isolation and purification of compounds. A new norditerpenoid alkaloid, isodelelatine (1), along with five known alkaloids, atisine (2), delfissinol (3), liangshanine (4), hypaconitine (5) and delelatine (6) were isolated and identified. The structure of the new compound was elucidated on the basis of spectral data.

Asian Nursing Research 2022;16(5):292-298
Purpose:
Despite the high prevalence of postdialysis fatigue (PDF) in maintenance hemodialysis patients, no meta-analysis on the prevalence and risk factors of PDF has yet been published. This study aimed to identify the prevalence of PDF and explore its related factors.
Methods:
PubMed, Embase, CENTRAL, Web of Science, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL), and the four Chinese databases (National Knowledge Infrastructure [CNKI], Chinese Biomedical Literature database [SinoMed], Wanfang Digital Periodicals [WANFANG], and Chinese Science and Technology Periodicals [VIP] database) were searched from inception up to July 2022. This study was performed according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis guidelines. The articles were independently searched by two reviewers, and the relevant data were extracted. The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality was used to assess the quality of the included studies.
Results:
Thirteen articles with 2,118 participants were included. The pooled prevalence was 60.0%. The meta-analysis results revealed that the ultrafiltration volume, mean arterial pressure after dialysis, and good sleep quality were potentially associated with PDF, whereas only good sleep quality (odds ratio 0.24, 95% confidence interval 0.19e0.30) was significantly associated with PDF.
Conclusion
PDF is common in maintenance hemodialysis patients, which is related to the ultrafiltration volume, sleep quality, and mean arterial pressure after dialysis. However, the mechanism underlying the risk factors and PDF remains unknown. Further research is warranted to investigate the risk factors, intervention, treatment, and mechanism in maintenance hemodialysis patients.
8.Impact of prosthesis-patient mismatch on the quality of life of elderly patients after aortic valve replacement.
Journal of Southern Medical University 2009;29(10):2055-2063
OBJECTIVETo evaluate the long-term changes in the quality of life (QOL) scores in elderly patients after aortic valve replacement, and assess the impact of prosthesis-patient mismatch on the QQL of the patients.
METHODSA prospective cohort study was conducted involving 100 consecutive elderly patients above 70 years of age, who underwent isolated aortic valve or simultaneous aortic valve-coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) procedures between August 10, 1995 and August 19, 1998. Patient-prosthesis mismatch (PPM) was defined as a prosthetic aortic valve EOAI of 0.85 cm2/m2 or less. The clinical follow-up examinations were carried out at 4 weeks and 6 months after the operation, and then annually afterwards. Cumulative and comparative analyses of the long-term outcomes and gradient pressure of the prosthetic valve were performed. The QOL of the patients was evaluated using the Short Form 36-Item Health Survey (SF-36) questionnaire.
RESULTSThe mean age of the patients at prosthesis implantation was 74.7-/+5.7 years (range 70-87 years). The patients were followed up for a mean of 7.3-/+4.5 years. The thirty-day mortality was 6.3% in the mismatch group, and 3.3% in the matching group. The freedom from death showed no significant difference between the two groups at the first, third and fifth years after the prosthetic implantation, but differed significantly at the seventh year. The echocardiographic data showed significant differences in the mean gradient pressure between the two groups at the first and fifth years postoperatively. At most of the time points for follow-up examination, the general health and energy/vitality of the patients all improved from the preoperative levels, but no significant improvement was found at the third, fifth, and seventh years in the role emotional, social role, or general mental health; at the first postoperative year, however, the role emotional, social role, and particularly mental health, presented with significant improvements in comparison with the preoperative levels. No obvious difference in the QOL was noted between the two groups at the time points of observation.
CONCLUSIONSAortic vale replacement improves the QOL of the elderly patients, but the degree of improvements do not seem to be influenced by PPM. The interpretation of the impact of PPM on the clinic outcome of the patients still remains controversial.
