Schizophreniaisacommonandseriousmentaldisorder,whichcausesgreatharmtopatientsandtheir families.Because of the complicated pathogenesis of schizophrenia , there are still many problems in its drug treatment . Stable and reliable animal models are required for preclinical studies of new drugs .In this article , we reviewed the rodent models associated with positive symptoms , negative symptoms and cognitive impairment of schizophrenia and the behavioral evaluation on these models , hoping to provide useful references of animal models for the antipsychotic drug screening and preclinical studies .

Objective To evaluate the levels of high-sensitivity-CRP(hs-CRP),interleukin-10(IL-10) in patients with obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS).Methods Fifty cases with obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome from Jul.2012 to Dec.2013 in the People's Hospital of Pudong New Area were selected as our subjects,of which,22 patients were with mild-moderate OSAHS and 28 patients were with severe OSA.Twenty-seven health people were served as control group.The levels of hs-CRP,IL-10 were measured.Information of sleep study and other clinical characteristics were collected.Results There were no significant differences in terms of age,hip circumference and waist-to-hipratio (WHR) among three groups (P ＞0.05).Body mass index (BMI),neck circumference,waist circumference,Apnea-Hypopnea Index (AHI),the lowest arterial oxygen saturation(SaO2％) and hs-CRP in mild,severe OSA and control group were (28.01 ±3.41),(28.55±2.87) and (5.51±3.28) kg/m2,(41.18±4.37),(41.46±3.32) and (38.76±2.66) cm,(101.86±8.05),(102.32±7.97) and (94.56±10.25) cm,(44.55±16.26),(10.54±7.08) and (2.02 ±1.51) time/h,(85.05±6.40)％,(72.85±15.07)％,(88.59±3.43)％,(8.35±2.71),(9.19±2.85),(7.06 ± 1.30) mg/L,and the differences were significant(P＜0.05).In patients with OSA,SaO2％ was related to BMI (r =-0.274,P =0.027) and AHI (r =-0.651,P ＜ 0.001).Level of hs-CRP was associated with AHI (r =0.336,P =0.006) and BMI (r =0.247,P =0.047),and weakly associated with IL-10 concentrations.Conclusion Levels of hs-CRP is an important inflammation marker of OSAHS severity.However,levels of IL-10 shows an increasing in mild-moderate OSA patients,then decreasing in patients with severe OSA.

Objective To investigate the effects of icariin, a major active component of traditional Chinese herb Epimedium on schizo-phrenia animal model. Methods MK-801, a N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor antagonist, was intraperitoneally injected into mice to establish a schizophrenia animal model. The open field behavior test infrared detection system was used to measure the mobility of mice in order to find the best optimal dose. 40 mice were randomly divided in to control group, model group, risperidone group and icariin group with 10 mice in each group. The risperidone group and the icariin group were given 0.1 mg/kg risperidone and 50 mg/kg icariin respectively. All groups were injected with 0.6 mg/kg MK-801 0.1 ml intraperitoneally, except the control group. The total distance and the central dis-tance within 210 minutes were tested. Results The total distance and the central distance were significantly longer in the model group than in the control group (P<0.001), and were shorter in the risperidone group than in the control group (P<0.05). The total distance was shorter in the icariin group than in the model group, but there was no significant difference (P=0.065); and the central distance was shorter (P=0.037). There was no significant difference in both total distance and the central distance between the risperidone group and the icariin group (P>0.05). Conclusion Icariin may improve the positive and negative symptoms of schizophrenia mice, which may be beneficial to schizo-phrenia therapy.

Objective To explore the contrast perilymphatic MRI characteristics of inner ears with sudden hearing loss with vertigo.Methods Forty three patients with sudden hearing loss with vertigo and 35 patients with unilateral tinnitus diagnosed by the department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery were retrospectively included.Forty eight ears (38 ears with unilateral sudden hearing loss and 10 ears in 5 cases with bilateral sudden hearing loss) were regarded as sudden hearing loss group,35 asymptomatic ears (the opposite ears of the unilateral tinnitus ears) as control group.Thirty eight opposite ears of the 38 unilateral sudden hearing loss ears and 35 ears of the control group showed normal in the pure tone audiometry exam.One hundred and twenty one ears (48 hearing loss ears,38 opposite ears of the 38 unilateral sudden hearing loss ears and the 35 control group's ears) underwent contrast perilymphatic MR exams,0.4 to 0.5 ml gadolinium hydrate diluted with saline was injected through the tympanic membrane,twenty four hours later,three-dimensional fluid attenuated inversion recovery (3D-FLAIR) sequence was performed using a 3.0 T MRI scanner.After the contrast perilymphatic MR exam,success in the exam was judged through the raw image.The signal intensity ratio (SIR) of cochlea basal turn and homolateral brain stem was quantitatively calculated.The SIR difference of 48 ears with sudden hearing loss and 35 asymptomatic ears in control group was analyzed by t test.The SIR difference of the 38 unilateral sudden hearing loss ears and the contralateral asymptomatic ears was also analyzed.The presence of endolymphatic hydrops was judged.Results The contrast perilymphatic MRI of 121 inner ears with intratympanic gadolinium injection were all successful.Endolymphatic hydrops were observed in 12 sudden hearing loss ears with the occurrence rate of 25％(12/48).The SIR of basal turn and homolateral brain stem of the sudden hearing loss ears (2.062±0.907) were lower than the SIR of the control groups' asymptomatic ears (2.703± 0.640) with significant difference between them (t=3.619,P=0.001),the SIR of basal turn and homolateral brain stem of the unilateral sudden hearing loss ears (1.941 ±0.860) were also lower than the SIR of the contralateral asymptomatic ears (2.411±0.670) with statistical difference between them (t =3.270,P=0.002).Conclusions Endolymphatic hydrops were observed in sudden hearing loss with vertigo.The SIR of the cochlea in sudden hearing loss ears were lower than that of the asymptomatic ears,indicating the abnormal permeability of the round window membrane.

Objectlve To explore the mechanism of the protection in high expression of HO-1 induced by CoPP on murine islet xenografts. Method An islet transplantation of a SD rat-to-C57 BL/6 mouse model was established.Mice were randomized into five groups i.e.control,CoPP-induction in vivo,CoPP+ZnPP in vivo.CoPP-induction in vitro and CoPP+ZnPP in vitro and the islet xenografts were transplanted into the subrenal capsule.Normoglycemia time was recorded and insulin-releasing test was performed.IL-10、TNF-α、IL-1β and INF-γ in serum and their cytokine mRNA and HO-1 in xenografts were measured by RT-PCR and Western-blotting.The pathological examination was done to observe the lymphocyte infiltration. Results There Was significant difference in the normoglycemia time between CoPP-induction in vivo and in vitro and other three groups.The results of insulin-releasing stimulated by low level glucose were identical among groups,but that of insulin-releasing stimulated by high-glucose in in vivo group were the hiishest as in CoPP-induction in vivo and in vitro and control group were 187.68 ±19.93、137.22±11.73,91.25±12.64 μIU·ml~(-1)·10islets~(-1)·45 min~(-1),(P<0.05).The IL-10 in serum in CoPP-induction in vivo and in vitro(in vivo:72.97±9.74 pg/ml;in vitro:70.84±3.56 pg/ml)was significantly hisher than other three groups(control:30.57±3.93 pg/ml;CoPP+ZnPP in vivo:39.78±3.00 pg/ml;CoPP+ZnPP in vitro:35.42±4.30 pg/ml).The expression tendency of IL-10 mRNA was similar to that of insulin secretion.There was no significant difieFence in TNF-α、IL-1β and INF-γ.The expression of HO-1 by PCR and Western-blot analysis in CoPP-induction in vivo and vitro was higher than other three groups.The pathological examination showed that fewer lymphocytes infiltrated into the islet xenografts from CoPP-treated in comparison with xenografts from other three groups. Conclusion HO-1 could improve the survival of islet xenograft:the induetion of HO-1 expression in vivo was much mole efficient than in vitro.The CoPP-induction could be related to immune modulation of IL-10.

Objective To analyze the dose-effect relationship between cobalt protoporphyrin (CoPP) and heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) expression in islets and to investigate the protective effect of strongly expression of HO-1 in islet xenotransplantation. Methods Donor islets isolated and purified from SD rats were randomly divided into 5 groups and incubated with different doses of CoPP for 24 h.Group A: 0 mmol/L; Group B: 5 mmol/L; Group C: 25 mmol/L; Group D: 50 mmol/L; Group E:75 mmol/L. The expression of HO-1 mRNA and protein in islets was detected by RT-PCR and Western blot respectively. Glucose of low and high concentrations was added to islets in vitro to test insulin-releasing function. The optimal dose of CoPP which could induce the strongest HO-1 expression was chosen according to the results. Recipients were randomly divided into 2 groups. Control group received untreated xeno-islets, and the experimental group received islets incubated with optimal CoPP close in vitro. Glycemia and rejection were observed after transplantation daily. Results The expression of HO-1 mRNA and protein in xeno-islets of group D was significantly higher than in other groups (P＜0.05). After stimulation of glucose, the insulin concentration in group D was significantly higher than in other groups (P＜0.05). The optimal dose of CoPP which could induce the strongest HO-1 expression was 50 mmol/L. The time for normoglyeemia in experimental group was (14.63±1.19) days, significantly longer than that in control group (9.88±2.17)days (P＜0.01). Conclusion The strongest expression of HO-1 induced by CoPP in vitro promotes the glucose-stimulated insulin secretion of islets and prolonged the survival of xeno-islet grafts by protecting them from rejection.

Objective To investigate the effects of peritoneal injection of cobaltic protoporphyrin Ⅸ chloride(CoPP)to induce heme oxygenase-1(Ho-1)upregulation in rat islet cells.Mthods Forty rats were divided into 5 groups by management 24 h before islets isolation:group A received inlzaporitoneal injection with 2.5 ms/ks CoPP,group B with 5 ms/ks CoPP,group C with 7.5 ms/kg CoPP,and group D with 10 mg/kg CoPP.In control group NS was used instead.A modified Goth approach was used for islet isolation.the yield and purity of the islets were assessed.The expression of Ho-1 mRNA and protein were detected by real time-PCR and Western blotting respectively.Islet function was tested by glucose stimulation test.Result Severe damage was found in tlle rats in group C and D.There was no difference in islet yield and purity for group A、B、C and control(P＞0.05).Group B had the highest Ho-1 mRNA and protein expression among the 4 groups.Though there was no difference in insulin secretion by low glucose challenge for group A、B and control's islets(P＞0.05),when challenged by hish level of glucose,significant deviation was observed.The imulin secretion level was(172.37±16.4)、(187.68±19.93)and(91.25±Conclusion Peritoneal iajection of 5 mg/kg CoPP can significantly enhance the expression of Ho-1 mRNA and protein in tat islet safely and enhance the function of islet when challenged by hish concentration of glucose.

Objective To explore therapeutic effect of dipeptidyl peptidase IV inhibitor on type 2 diabetes mellitus with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. Methods 120 patients suffering type 2 diabetes mellitus with nonal-coholic fatty liver disease from October 2014 to March 2016 in our hospital were randomly divided into two groups:treatment group and control group. Both groups were given type 2 diabetes conventional treatment ,and the treat-ment group was given dipeptidyl peptidase IV inhibitor in addition. Height,weight,waist circumference,hip cir-cumference were measured. Lipid metabolism and,function index,FPG,2 h PG,HbA1c,Ins,C peptide were detected. HOMA-IR was calculated. Results The total effective rate of clinical treatment of fatty liver in the treat-ment group(88.3%)was higher than the control group(78.3%). The difference was statistically significant. FPG , 2hPG,HbA1c,HOMA-IR,LDL-C,TC,TG,AST,ALT andγ-GT in the treatment group were lower than the con-trol group. The difference was also statistically significant. Conclusion The efficacy of sitagliptin in the treatment of type 2 diabetes with nonalcoholic fatty liver was significant. It can also significantly reduce blood glucose and in-sulin resistance. Furthermore ,it has a better effect on the patients with blood glucose control and lipid metabolism regulation.

Objective To evaluate clinical therapeutic efficacy and adverse effecacy of transcatheter arterial chemoembolization(TACE)combined with radiofrequency capacitive heating(RCH) for metastatic hepatic carcinoma(MHC). Methods Thirty-nine cases of MHC were enrolled in this study and divided into two groups: study group(n = 19)and control group(n = 20). Before therapy, the Karnofsky's score of the patients was all beyond 60. Results The carcinoma growth rate of the study group was -(0.38 ? 0.22), while that of the control group was -(0.13 ? 0.25), showing significant statistical difference(P 0.05). Conclusion The therapeutic effect of MHC can be further improved by the treatment of TACE combined with radiofrequency capacitive heating without increase of adverse side effects.

OBJECTIVE: To study the relevance of the high stimulus rate auditory brainstem response(auditory brainstem response, ABR) test in recurrent vertigo, investigate the cause of recurrent vertigo, and provide important help for the clinical treatment. METHOD: One hundred and one cases with recurrent vertigo were retrospectively analyzed, and high stimulus rate ABR were tested and compared in attack episodes and intermittent episodes. RESULT: The abnormal difference between ABR I and V latency was selected as parameters. The abnormal rate of high stimulation ABR was 56.4% in patients with recurrent episodes of vertigo many times (2 and above), of which the highest rate was 71.9% in MV patients, and the second one was BPPV. The abnormal rate of high stimulation ABR was 14.9% in patients during medication or intermittent episodes. The abnormal rate in all groups decreased obviously as compared to attack episodes. CONCLUSION Abnormal rate of high stimulus rate ABR correlates well with recurrent vertigo significantly. The inner ear microcirculation may result in the attack of recurrent vertigo.
