1.Attitudes toward disabled persons among undergraduated students
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2005;11(9):772-773
ObjectiveTo understand basically the attitudes of undergraduates toward disabled persons. MethodsScale of Attitudes toward Disabled Persons edited by Antonak was used to analyze the factor structure of attitudes of undergraduates toward disabled persons with 650 undergraduates as sample. ResultsThere was significant difference in the factor of Optimism-Human Rights between male and female, and some correlation between the attitudes and the experience of contact with disable persons or not. ConclusionIt is necessary to carry out some education of disability knowledge and rehabilitation.

3. Construction of expression vector for NT4-ADNF-9 fusion gene
Academic Journal of Xi'an Jiaotong University 2009;21(2):104-108
Objective: To construct the prokaryotic expression vector bearing fusion gene NT4-ADNF-9 and lay foundation for further study on genetic therapy of neurosensory deafness. Methods: By means of asymmetrical primer/ template, double stranded cDNA of activity dependent neurotrophic factor-9 (ADNF-9) was obtained, which included restriction enzymes sites on the two extremities. ADNF-9 cDNA was ligated to the signal and leader peptides of neurotrophin 4 (NT4), and the fusion gene was named NT4-ADNF-9. Then it was subcloned into prokaryotic expression vector pBV220, and called pBV220/ NT4-ADNF-9. Results: Evidences of DNA sequence analysis and restriction enzymes digestion showed that we recombined ADNF-9 cDNA to the 3′terminal of the signal and leader peptides of NT4, and the fusion gene was subcloned into pBV220 successfully. Bioactivity of the products was proved that it could support the cell survival and neurite growth in the primary cultures of dorsal root ganglia (DRG) of embryonic day-8 chicken neurons as compared to the control. Conclusion: Prokaryotic expression vector pBV220/NT4-ADNF-9 can be constructed successfully and the bioactivity is satisfactory.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2009;15(11):1080-1081
Objective To study the rehabilitation for batches of the wounded suffering from the earthquake in hospital. Methods 91 cases of trauma occurring in the earthquake were reported. Results There was no dead and any complication happened. 90 cases could self-care as they discharged. Conclusion Multiple specialty rehabilitation would be effective on the wounded suffering from earthquake.

[ ABSTRACT] AIM:To investigate the effect of astragaloside IV on neurological function and the protein expres -sion of neuron-specific enolase (NSE), Notch1 and NF-κB in acute cerebral hemorrhage (ACH) rats.METHODS:ACH model in rats was established via injection of autologous blood , and the rats were divided into 4 groups:sham, ACH, ACH+astragaloside IV (100 mg/kg) and ACH+astragaloside IV (200 mg/kg) groups. The impairment of neurological func-tion in each group was graded , and the brain coefficient and water content were calculated .The serum level of NSE was measured by ELISA.Additionally, the expression of Notch1 and NF-κB was determined by Western blot .RESULTS:As-tragaloside IV improved the neurological function and decreased the brain coefficient and water content in ACH rats .Moreo-ver, the ACH-induced increase in NSE was inhibited after astragaloside IV treatment .Similarly, astragaloside IV also sig-nificantly attenuated the expression of Notch 1 and NF-κB in ACH rats.CONCLUSION: Astragaloside IV attenuates the impairment of neurological function in ACH rats , which may be through decreasing the NSE level and down-regulating the expression of Notch1 and NF-κB.

Objective To investigate the clinical factors and therapeutic tactic for rebleeding of hypertensive hemorrhage after minimally invasive craniopuncture. Methods Clinical data of 213 cases were reviewed retrospectively.8 possible factors were gathered to select the high-risk ones by multiple-factor Logistic regression analysis. Results 27 cases bled after minimally invasive craniopuncture therapy.By Logistic regression analysis,we found 4 high-risk factors of recurrence hemorrhage, including hematoma shape (β =2.236,P =0.002),systolic blood pressure on admission (β =1.877,P =0.001),operation time (β =-1.589,P =0.004) and hematoma clearance (β =1.280,P =0.010).Conclusion Paying more attention to the 4 factors and treating each patient by individual therapeutic tactic according to the 4 factors will help to decrease the incidence of bleeding after minimally invasive craniopuncture.

Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2015;(9):953-956
Objective The patients with non-small cell lung cancer ( NSCLC) are still at risk of brain metastasis after surgi-cal treatment. The study was to investigate the clinical characteristics and the risk factors for postoperative brain metastasis in patients with NSCLC in order to provide references for prophylactic cranial irradiation ( PCI) . Methods The clinical and prognostic data of 213 patients with NSCLC in our department of oncology from February 2008 to February 2012 were retrospectively analyzed. The occur-rences of postoperative brain metastasis in NSCLC patients with different characteristics were observed.Cox model was used to investi-gate the risk factors for postoperative brain metastasis in patients with NSCLC. Results The overall cumulative rate of brain metasta-sis was 23.9%(51/213) and the rates of brain metastasis at 1-year, 2-year, 3-year after surgery were 6.1%, 14.1%, 22.5% re-spectively.Univariate analysis showed that the rates of postoperative brain metastasis in NSCLC patients with different ages, histological types, tumor stages and CEA levels were statistically significant (P<0.05).Cox regression showed that adenocarcinoma (HR=2.00, 95%CI:1.11~3.64), lung cancer stageⅢ(HR=3.70, 95%CI:1.67~8.25) and high CEA (≥5.0μg/L)(HR=3.16, 95%CI:1.60~6.25) were risk factors for postoperative brain metastasis in patients with NSCLC.The survival time in NSCLC patients with brain metastasis was remarkably lower than that in patients without brain metastasis (P<0.05). Conclusion The NSCLC pa-tients with adenocarcinoma, III stage disease, or high CEA are more likely to develop brain metastasis after surgery, which should be the focus of PCI.
