Objective To discuss the curative effect and safety issues of Telsartan(Micardis) and Valsartan (Diovan) Capsule in curing light and to moderate essential hypertension patients. Methods The 126 light or moderate essential hypertension patients were divided into two groups randonly:63 patients in Micardis group(80mg qd)and 63 patients in Diovan group(160mg qd). The courses of treatment of each group were 8 weeks. The medicine was taken by patients after breakfast everyday. Data of blood pressure, heart rhythm, blood and urine routine test, hepatic and renal function, blood biochemistry test, ECG and side effects was recorded everyday before and after the treatment. Results After 8 weeks treatment, the average SBP of blood pressure was reduced from ( 156.3 ± 13.3 ) mm Hg to(128.6 ± 10.9) mm Hg(Micardis group)and (129.3 ± 11.3) mm Hg(Diovan group). The average DBP was reduced from(98.3±11.6) mm Hg to(80.3±7.1) mm Hg(Micardis group)and(80.6 ±7.3) mm Hg(Diovan group). The blood pressure of both group had notable decreasing after taking medicine(P < 0.01). The total effective rates were 79.36% and 73.02%. In the same term, the curative effect of both group have significant difference(P<0.05). In Micardis group, total Cholesterol(TC) level reduced from(5.6 ± 1.2) mmol/L to( 4.9 ± 1.1 ) mmol/L; Triglyceride (TG) level reduced from (2.38 ± 0.31) mmol/L to (2.23 ± 0.33) mmoL/L; Low Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol(LDL-C) level reduced from( 3.26 ± 0.38 ) mmol/L to( 2.89 ± 0.46 ) mmol/L; High Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol (HDL-C) level increased from ( 1.3 ± 0.6 ) mmol/L to ( 1.5 ± 0.3 ) mmol/L. As comparison, in the Diovan group only the TC level reduced from (5.6 ± 1.2) mmol/L to(5.2 ± 1.3) mmol/L. Both groups did not have significant adverse reactions. Conclusion As the Angiotensin Ⅱ Receptor Antagonist ( ARA), both the Telsartan and Valsartan Capsule were effective medicines in curing light and moderate essential hypertension patients. These two medicines which were reliable and safety, had good tolerance and few side effects. However,Telsartan had better effects than Diovan in reducing blood pressure and triglyceride on light or moderate essential hypertension patients. Also, Telsartan had longer half-life period(18-24h) and lower price.

[ ABSTRACT] AIM:To investigate the effect of astragaloside IV on neurological function and the protein expres -sion of neuron-specific enolase (NSE), Notch1 and NF-κB in acute cerebral hemorrhage (ACH) rats.METHODS:ACH model in rats was established via injection of autologous blood , and the rats were divided into 4 groups:sham, ACH, ACH+astragaloside IV (100 mg/kg) and ACH+astragaloside IV (200 mg/kg) groups. The impairment of neurological func-tion in each group was graded , and the brain coefficient and water content were calculated .The serum level of NSE was measured by ELISA.Additionally, the expression of Notch1 and NF-κB was determined by Western blot .RESULTS:As-tragaloside IV improved the neurological function and decreased the brain coefficient and water content in ACH rats .Moreo-ver, the ACH-induced increase in NSE was inhibited after astragaloside IV treatment .Similarly, astragaloside IV also sig-nificantly attenuated the expression of Notch 1 and NF-κB in ACH rats.CONCLUSION: Astragaloside IV attenuates the impairment of neurological function in ACH rats , which may be through decreasing the NSE level and down-regulating the expression of Notch1 and NF-κB.
7.Titanium versus polymethyl methacrylate resin complete denture base A phonology evaluation
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2010;14(42):7976-7980
BACKGROUND: Several studies have demonstrated that the range, thickness and morphology of oral prosthesis directly influence patient's phonetic function, and titanium base and polymethyl methacrylate(PMMA)resin base yield different influences on phonetic function due to different thicknesses of materials.OBJECTIVE: To analyze the phonetic parameters in one complete denture patient who wear titanium base and PMMA resin base simultaneously and investigate the influences of maxillary complete denture base on phonetic function.METHODS: Through the use of computer-based voice analysis software PRAAT4.4.34,frequency value of the first concentrated frequency area when speaking consonant sounds/x,sh,r,zh,ch,j,q/and voice onset time when speaking consonant sounds/g,k,zh,ch,j,q/were statistically analyzed in the same patient who separately wear titanium complete denture base and PPMA resin complete denture base, and spectrogram of velar stops between complete denture bases was compared.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: MMPA resin complete denture base was to some extent poor in promoting the recovery of phonetic function owing to great base thickness.Titanium complete denture base with less thickness in the tongue or palate region would help recovery of phonetic function.Extraction and analysis of phonological parameters, such as frequency value of first concentrated frequency area and voice onset time, using CSL computer*based voice analysis system, would provide objective evidence for lamprophony analysis after wearing complete denture.Maxillary denture with thinner base in tongue and palate regions better promotes the recovery of patient's phonetic function.

International Eye Science 2016;16(11):2063-2066
AIM:To compare the clinical efficacy of three combined surgical treatments for cataract induced by silicone oil -filled eye.
METHODS: The data of 75 eyes of 75 patients with cataract induced by silicone oil-filled eye were reviewed. Those patients were divided into group A, B, C. The patients in group A were treated by phacoemulsification combined with silicone oil removal through pupil and IOL implantation, the patients in group B were treated by phacoemulsification combined with silicone oil removal through 23G vitrectomy system and IOL implantation, the patients in group C were treated by phacoemulsification combined with silicone oil removal through 20G vitrectomy system and IOL implantation. The operation time, intraocular pressure, best corrected visual acuity ( BCVA ) , discomfort days and complications before and after the surgery were compared.
RESULTS: The differences of the intraocular pressure were not statistically significant between the three groups after the surgery. The BCVA of the three groups were all improved, but the differences were not statistically significant between three groups. The differences in postoperative complications showed no statistically significant. Otherwise, group A and B cost less operation time. The discomfort days of group A were less than other groups.
CONCLUSION: Three different surgical methods were safe and effective, appropriate surgical approach could be chosen according to the patients' clinical manifestations. For patients with cataract induced by silicone oil-filled eye whose retina recovered well, phacoemulsification combined with silicone oil removal through pupil and IOL implantation is a time-saving, safe and effective method.

BACKGROUND: Current treatmemt strategy cannot efficiently relieve or reverse the disk degeneration, and neither surgical treatment nor nonsurgical treatment has gained satisfactory long-term effect. Therefore, more and more researches have focused on the cell therapy. OBJECTIVE: To explore the present states and application prospect of cell therapy, especially stem cells for degenerative intervertebral disc repair.METHODS: A computer-based search for related articles in PubMed database published between January 2011 and January 2016 using the English keywords of stem cell, intervertebral disk degeneration. Literatures addressing cell therapy for degenerative intervertebral disc repair were selected, and the articles published lately or original researches in authoritative journals were preferred.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: A total of 205 articles were selected firstly, and 50 eligible articles were enrolled finally in accordance with the inclusion criteria. The mixtures of stem cells and carrier are injected into the degenerative intervertebral disk, to repair or displace abnormal cells. This strategy has been accepted by many researchers, and considered as a promising treatment. However, there is little evidence about the safety of clinical treatment with cell therapy, which still needs to be explored in depth.
