1.Analysis of ADR Reports Occurred in Hospitals from Yangpu District of Shanghai
China Pharmacy 2005;0(18):-
OBJECTIVE: To guarantee safety of drug use in medical institutions of Yangpu District of Shanghai and to promote rational use of drugs. METHODS: 159 ADR cases reported to Shanghai ADR Monitoring Center by 3 secondary hospitals of Yangpu District of Shanghai in 2009 were analyzed statistically. RESULTS: 71 kinds of drugs were involved in 159 ADR cases. 99 ADR cases were induced by antibiotics(62.26%). 14 ADR cases were induced by hypotensive and antianginal drugs (8.81%). 10 ADR cases were caused by TCM preparations (6.29%). 123 ADR cases were caused by intravenous route (77.36%). ADR incidence of male was higher than female (1.2 ∶ 1). 63 ADR cases were patients over 60 years old (39.62%). Main clinical manifestation were lesion of skin and its appendants in 75 cases (47.17%). There were 6 new ADR cases,5 severe ADR cases and 1 dead case. CONCLUSION: Great importance should be attached to ADR monitoring and reporting in order to promote rational use of drug.

Objective To survey changes and the significance of phospholipase A2(PLA2) on brain tissue of SD rat in acute pancreatitis. Methods With retrograde injection of 3% taurocholate sodium into pancreatic and biliary duct, rat model of severe acute pancreatitis (SAP) was made, and it included four groups: the control group, the sham-operation group, the SAP group and the PLA2 inhibitor-treated group of SAP. Serum amylases, PLA2 and PLA2 in brain tissue were measured and the brain tissue changes were observed. Results There were no significant difference in serum amylases, PLA2 and PLA2 in brain tissue between the sham-operation and the control groups; the levels of serum amylases, PLA2 and PLA2 in brain tissue in the SAP group were higher than those in the control. In the SAP group expansion and hemorrhage of meninges, intracephalic arteriolar hyperemia, in meninges and cephalic-parenchyma infiltration of inflammatory cells and interval broaden were observed, significant differences were found between two groups.Compared with the SAP group, the level of serum amylase, PLA2 and PLA2 in brain tissue were reduced significantly in the treatment group of SAP. Pathological damages in the treatment group were significantly reduced when compared with the SAP group. Conclusion PLA2 might play an important role in brain tissue damages in severe acute pancreatitis.

ObjectiveTo explore the effect of acupuncture combined with training of the modified rehabilitation apparatus on upper limb motor function of patients with ischemic stroke.Methods86 patients with ischemic stroke were divided randomly into the treatment group ( treated by acupuncture combined with training of the rehabilitation apparatus) and the control group (treated by simple acupuncture). The upper limb motor function of two groups was evaluated by Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA) before and after treatment.ResultsAfter 28 days treatment, scores of FMA of two groups were all raised significantly, but it was significantly greater for the treatment group than the control group (P<0.01).ConclusionIt is shown that acupuncture combined with training of the rehabilitation apparatus can improve the upper limb motor function and activity of daily living of patients with ischemic stroke.

Objective To investigate the expression of CD147 and its significance in human cervical carcinoma. Methods Western blotting and immunohistochemical staining were used to detect CD147 expression in cervical cancer or normal cervix uteri tissues. Results CD147 protein was expressed in all of cervical carcinomas (41/41, 100.0%) and most of normal cervix uteri tissues (11/12, 91.7%). CD147 with different molecular weights were present in cervical tissues. The percentage of CD147-positive cells and the expressional level of CD147 were higher in cervical carcinomas than in normal cervix (P<0.05). Conclusion CD147 might be recognized as a marker of cell proliferation. High expression of CD147 in cervical carcinomas suggests that it might be a potential target for cervical carcinoma therapy.

OBJECTIVE To study risk factors in senile diabetics complicated with urinary tract infections and find out measures to cut down the incidence rate with urinary tract infection.METHODS The age, sex, hospital day, course of diabetes, blood sugar level and catheterization in 181 hospital patients of senile diabetics complicated with urinary tract infections from 2004 to 2007 were analyzed retrospectively.RESULTS The incidence of senile diabetics complicated with urinary tract infections was closely related with age, sex, hospitalization days, course of diabetes, blood sugar level and catheterization.CONCLUSIONS Control measure for risk factors in senile diabetics can actively cut down the incidence rate of urinary tract infection.

Objective To observe the effects of the preconditioning of ulinastatin on GES-1 cell injury induced by oxygen and glucose deprivation (OGD). Methods GES-1 cells were cultured in vitro and divided into three groups: normal control group (group N), oxygen and glucose deprivation group (group O), and ulinastatin preconditioning group (group U). The OGD model of GES-1 cells were established by glucose-free medium and three-gas incubator for 6h. Ulinastatin was added to group U 12h before the deprivation of oxygen and glucose. The cell viability and apoptosis were determined by cck-8 and flow cytometry respectively. Western Blot was used to examine the protein expression of Caspase-3 and Cleaved Caspase-3. The TRPV1 mRNA expression was measured by quantitative real-time PCR. Results As compared with group N, the viability of GES-1 was decreased, the apoptotic rate and the expression of Caspase-3 and Cleaved Caspase-3 were increased, and the TRPV1 mRNA expression decreased greatly in group O (P < 0.05). As compared with group O, the aforementioned changes were significantly inhibited in group U. Conclusions Ulinastatin preconditioning could effectively inhibit GES-1 cell injury induced by OGD, which may be related to the inhibition of apoptosis and the upregulation of TRPV1 mRNA expression.

Objective To quantize the synergistic force in movement of upper limbs between shoulders and elbows. Methods The trans-verse forces of elbows and shoulders during movement were recorded in a healthy adult with an upper-limb-force-measuring plate form which comprised of 2 three-dimensional force sensors, respectively. Then he performed shoulder abduction/adduction and elbow extension/flexion at 100%, 75%, 50%and 25%of the maximum contraction force, respectively. The ratio of the active action force and the joint action force (named assessment index) was used to assess the synergistic degree of the forearm and the upper arm. Results In the shoulder abduc-tion motion, the assessment index decreased as the strength of active action decreased, meant interference of joint action increased. Howev-er, it was almost stable in the shoulder adduction, increased in the elbow extensionas, and was irregular in the elbow flexion, as the active ac-tion strength decreased, respectively. Conclusion It may be more difficult to control upper arm than the forearm.
