Objective To investigate the expression of stratum corneum chymotuptic enzyme (SCCE) and its significance in human cervical adenocarcinoma.Methods Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expressions of SCCE,ER,CEA and Vimentin in tissues from the group of 45 cervical adenocarcinoma patients,group of 24 cervical glandular intraepithelial neoplasia (CGIN) patients and group of 24 normal cervical tissues.Results The expression of SCCE was 84.44 ％ (38/45),58.33 ％ (14/24) and 8.33 ％ (2/24) in 3 groups respectively.The SCCE expression from group of cervical adenocarcinoma were more significantly than that of normal cervical tissues (P ＜ 0.012 5),the expression of SCCE from group of CGIN were more significantly than that of normal cervical tissues (P ＜ 0.012 5),but there was no difference between the cervical adenocarcinoma and the CGIN on the expression of SCCE (P ＞ 0.012 5).Conclusion SCCE could be recommended as a new biomarker for the early screening cervical adenocarcinoma and as an additional marker for the prognosis of cervical adenocarcinoma.

Magnesium and its alloy are used for the most potential endovascular stent material due to their excellent mechanical capabilities, adjustable corrosive properties, the little side effects of the materials and their degradation products. The in vito degradation rate of the current magnesium and its alloy as endovascular stent is very quickly so that the artery is not supported long enough to prevent negative remodeling. This review detailed the approach to enhance the corrosion resistance, in vitro corrosion rate measurement of magnesium and its alloy, as well as the in vito corrosion research when as the endovascular stents.

Objective: To evaluate the remineralization effect and mechanism of casein phosphopeptide-amorphous calcium phosphate (CPP-ACP) with different concentrations of fluorine on demineralized enamel using electronic probe. Methods: Extracted premolar teeth for orthodontic purpose were immersed into lactic acid gel to prepare artificial white spot lesions (10 teeth in each group). Then the specimens were randomly assigned to three groups: Control group, with 5% of the CPP-ACP+deionized water; Group A with 5% CPP-ACP+500 mg/L F^- and Group B with 5% CPP-ACP+900 mg/L F^-. The teeth in each group were soaked in different solutions for 4 days and then were measured using electron probe tester. The changes of contents among the three groups were compared. Results: No statistically significant difference in the percentage of fluorine was found in the control group before and after treatment (P=0.06), and the difference in the percentage of fluorine quality in the other two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05). Statistically significant difference was found between calcium oxide and phosphorus peroxide in the three groups before and after mineralization (P<0.05). The percentage change of fluorine mass in group B [(0.107±0.035)%] was significantly greater than that in group A [(0.057±0.038)%] (P<0.05), while fluorine mass in group A was significantly greater than that in control group [(0.013±0.019)%] (P<0.05). In group A and group B, the change in quality of calcium oxide and phosphorus peroxide was significantly greater than that in control group (P<0.05), while no significant difference was found between group A and group B (P>0.05). Conclusions The addition of fluorine in CPP-ACP increased the transport and penetration of calcium, phosphorus and fluorine on enamel surface.

According to epidemiological surveys, the incidence of myopia among Chinese children and adolescents has risen by over 53.6%. Myopia has emerged as the leading cause of vision loss among adolescents. The mental health of students suffers from vision impairment, which has an adverse ripple effect on their ability to learn and grow, and even their physical development. Based on the observation of significant differences in mental health between myopic people and normal people, scholars at home and abroad have used various psychological scales to evaluate the association between myopia and mental health issues, including anxiety and depression, as well as personality traits such as emotionalization and introversion. This article reviews the effect of myopia on adolescent mental health and the research progress on its research methods and prevention strategies.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the effects of sorafenib on human acute promyelocytic leukemia cell NB4 and its mechanism.

METHODSThe human acute promyelocytic leukemia cell NB4 was treated with different concentrations (0, 1.5, 3, 6 and 12 µmol/L) of sorafenib, the proliferation inhibitory rate of NB4 cells was assayed by MTT, the apoptosis of NB4 was determined with flow-cytomatry after treatment; after extraction of total protein, the Western blot was performed to determine the expressions of apoptosis-relatived molecules Caspase-3, Caspase-8 and MCL-1. The mRNA expressions of Caspase-3, Caspase-8 and MCL-1 were determined by RT-PCR.

RESULTSAs compared with the control group, the proliferation of NB4 significantly decreased after treatment with different concentrations of sorafenib. The sorafenib significantly induced the apopotosis of NB4 cells in time- and dose-dependent manners. Furthermore, sorafenib treatment resulted in the obvious increase of the Caspase-3 and Caspase-8 protein and mRNA expressions, and down-regulated the MCL-1 protein and mRNA expressions in NB4 cells.

CONCLUSIONSorafenib can inhibit proliferation and induce apopotosis of human acute promyelocytic leukemia cell NB4 through the expression of Caspase-3 and Caspase-8, and down-regulation of the expression of MCL-1.

Objective To investigate the expression and prognostic significance of leucine-rich and immunoglobulin-like domains 1 (LRIG1) and epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) in cervical adenocarcinoma.Methods The expression levels of LRIG1 and EGFR were assayed by immunohistochemistry in 47 cervical adenocarcinoma,24 cervical glandular intraepithelial neoplasia (CGIN) and 60 normal cervical tissues.Results The expression rates of LRIG1 in cervical adenocarcinoma,CGIN and normal cervical tissues were 21.28 ％ (10/47),29.17 ％ (7/24) and 83.33 ％ (50/60),respectively,the expression of EGFR in cervical adenocarcinoma,CGIN and normal cervical tissues were 82.98 ％ (39/47),45.83 ％ (11/24),5.00 ％ (3/60),respectively.The expression of LRIG1 was not correlated to age (P ＞ 0.05).However,it was correlated to histological grade,lymphatic nodes metastasis and clinical stages (all P ＜ 0.05).The survival rate of positive LRIG1 patients was higher than that of negative LRIG1 patients (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions LRIG1 may play an important role in predicting clinical outcomes of cervical adenocarcinoma,and its mechanism may be related to inhibiting EGFR signal transduction.

Objective To detect the expression of Survivin and hypoxia inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α) in prostatic hyperplasia and prostatic carcinoma,and investigate their roles and mutual correlations in pathogenesis and progression of prostatic carcinoma.Methods The expression of Survivin and HIF-1α in proliferative lesions of prostate (15 cases) and prostatic carcinoma (62 cases) were detected by immunohistochemistry method.The relationship between the expressions of Survivin and HIF-1α was analyzed,as well as their correlations with clinicopathological features.Results The positive expression of Survivin and HIF-1α were significantly higher in the prostatic carcinoma [71.0 ％ (44/62) and 69.4 ％ (43/62),respectively] compared with those of the prostatic proliferation [6.7 ％ (1/15) and 0] (x2 =20.56,P 0.001; x2 =23.56,P =0.001,respectively).The expression of Survivin and HIF-1α in prostate carcinoma was significantly related with the histological grading,clinical staging (x2 =10.64,5.39,7.62,6.43,all P ＜ 0.05).And there was positively correlated between Survivin and HIF-lα (rs =0.350,P =0.006).Conclusion Survivin and HIF-1α synergistically play important roles in pathogenesis and progression of prostatic carcinoma.

Objective: To investigate the cell death-inducing effect of saikosaponin-d (SSD) on human hepatoma Hep3B cells and its potential mechanism. Methods: Hepatoma Hep3B cells were divided into five groups: blank control group, DMSO (vehicle) group, and three SSD treatment groups treated with various doses of SSD (5, 10, and 15 μmol/L). MTT assay was used to evaluate cell viability. Flow cytometer was employed to quantitatively detect the percentage of dead cells after Annexin V-FITC/PI double staining. Apoptosis was detected morphologically after Hoechst 33258 staining. The activity of caspase-3 apoptotic protease was determined by spectrophotometry. Cell morphologic changes were observed with an inverted microscope. Western blotting and Real-time PCR were employed to evaluate the expression levels of C/EBP homology (CHOP) protein and mRNA, respectively. Results: MTT assay showed that SSD inhibited the viability of human hepatoma Hep3B cells in concentration- and time-dependent manners. Sinomenine hydrochloride induced the death of Hep3B cells in a concentration-dependent manner indicated by flow cytometry. After staining with Hoechst 33258, the nuclei of SSD-treated cells showed nucleosomal agglutination, nucleosomal shrinkage and fragmentation under the fluorescence microscope, which are the characteristics of apoptotic cells. SSD significantly activated the key apoptotic executor caspase-3. The occurrence of paraptosis, characterized by extensive cytoplasmic vacuoles, was observed in SSD-treated cells under an inverted microscope. The pretreatment of a pancaspase inhibitor Z-VAD-FMK completely inhibited caspase-3 activity triggered by SSD, but only partially suppressed cell death and could not reduce the cytoplasmic vacuolation in SSD-treated cells. The protein and mRNA expressions of CHOP, a stress-inducible molecule, were upregulated by SSD, which could not be inhibited by Z-VAD-FMK. Conclusion: SSD can simultaneously induce caspase-dependent apoptosis and caspase-independent paraptosis in human hepatoma Hep3B cells. The upregulated expression of CHOP may be the mechanism involved in SSD-induced paraptosis.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of magnesium aluminum suspension spraying in treating gastric ulcer after endoscopic submocosal dissection (ESD). Methods We made a prospective analysis of patients with gastric ESD surgery performed between January 2016 and June 2019. They were divided into control group, spraying group, and spraying + oral group on the basis of treatment method. All patients were followed up for 8 weeks to evaluate endoscopic ulcer healing and recovery rate. At the same time, postoperative symptoms and complications such as bleeding were also recorded. SPSS 24.0 software was used for statistical analysis. Results A total of 330 eligible cases were randomly divided into control group (124 cases), spraying group (108 cases), and spraying + oral group (98 cases). The results showed that the postoperative pain incidence in spraying group and spraying + oral group was significantly better than that in the control group (35.48% vs. 17.59%, P<0.01; 35.48% vs. 20.41%, P=0.01). The 4-week ulcer recovery rate was better in spraying + oral group than in the control group. It should be noted that ulcer healing rate achieved 100% for the antrum of patients in spraying + oral group. At the same time, the incidence of postoperative bleeding decreased, and no significant adverse drug reactions were observed during the follow-up. Conclusion Almagate suspension spraying is safe and effective in the treatment of upper gastrointestinal ESD postoperative ulcer. In addition, it can also relieve postoperative pain.
