1.The study of selective water excitation in the MR imaging of articular cartilage

Objective To investigate the value of selective water excitation technique for the assessment of articular cartilage.Methods MR sagittal scanning of knee joints was performed in the fifteen healthy volunteers.MR scan sequences were 3D-FFE-SPIR and 3D-FFE-WATS.The signal noise ratio (SNR)of the cartilage,the contrast noise ratio(CNR)between cartilage and adjacent tissue and their efficiency were calculated and analyzed statistically.Tweenty-nine patients who were suspected having cartilage injury were performed MR examination anti the image characteristics and the detecting ability of each sequence on cartilage lesions were analyzed.Results In the healthy volunteers,the cartilage SNR was 3D-FFE-SPIR:197.93?18.58,3D-FFE-WATS:187.32?21.50(P=0.159).CNR(cartilage/bone)was 3D-FFE-SPIR:185.50?18.34,3D-FFE-WATS:169.55?24.57(P=0.054).CNR(cartilage/muscle)was 3D-FFE-SPIR:61.40?19.04,3D-FFE-WATS:47.27?21.05(P=0.064).The cartilage SNR and CNR between cartilage and bone,muscle of 3D-FFE-SPIR weren't significantly higher than that of 3D-FFE- WATS.CNR(cartilage/liquid)was 3D-FFE-SPIR:91.53?14.46,3D-FFE-WATS:149.28?32.30(P= 0.000).CNR(cartilage/marrow)was 3D-FFE-SPIR:159.26?18.83,3D-FFE-WATS:176.87? 22.50(P=0.028).CNR(cartilage/fat)was 3 D-FFE-SPIR:134.56?15.80,3D-FFE-WATS:154.01? 22.42(P =0.010).The CNR between cartilage and liquid,marrow,fat were higher in 3D-FFE-WATS and significantly different than that of 3D-FFE-SPIR.Thirty detected cartilage injuries of patients were 3D-FFE- WATS:39,3D-FFE-SPIR:45 and there was no statistical difference between them(P=0.37). Conclusion 3D-FFE-WATS can show the articular cartilage clearly.It has high scan speed and suppress the fat signal evenly.Its ability for finding cartilage damage is equal to that of 3D-FFE-SPIR.So WATS can be used in the routine clinical cartilage examination.
2.Research progress on application of wearable devices in diagnosis and treatment of hospital

Medical and health equipment are rapidly developing in the direction of intelligence and portability. As a representative of them, wearable devices are playing an more and more important role in medical service. To this end, this review discussed the development process of wearable devices, and defined the concept of wearable devices. The existing wearable devices were divided into four categories according to their shapes: hand wear, head wear, lower limb wear and trunk wear. The application of them in medical service were particularly introduced. The 4 future development trends of wearable device, included adding fashionable element, focusing on a particular area, new interactive model and invisible portability, were analyzed and reviewed. Based on above analysis, we could got a comprehensive understanding for the application of current wearable device in medical treatment, and could hold the development direction of wearable device in medical treatment of hospital. While, for above products, there were some differences in technique level between domestic manufacturer and developed country, and there is a larger potential in the relevant products and arithmetic aspects.
3. Protective effects of different solvent fractions of Boschniakia rossica on acute liver injury induced by acetaminophen in mice

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the protective effect of different solvent fractions of Boschniakia rossica on acute liver injury induced by acetaminophen (APAP) in mice. METHODS: The mice were randomly assigned to the normal control, model control, bifendate (positive control), as well as groups of different solvent fractions of Boschniakia rossica. Animals were treated once daily for 7d. APAP were given intraperitoneally to the mice of groups, then the alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), albumin (ALB), reactive oxygen species (ROS), lipid hydroperoxide (LPO), malondialdehyde (MDA), glutathione (GSH), catalase (CAT), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px), superoxide dismutase (SOD), Na+-K+-ATPase, Ca2+-Mg2+-ATPase nitric oxide (NO) and inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) were detected by the colorimetric method. RESULTS: The administration with butanol soluble fraction and aqueous fraction oi Boschniakia rossica reduced the serum ALT and AST activities, increased the scrum ALB level, decreased the hepatic ROS, LPO and MDA levels, increased the CAT, GPx, SOD activities and GSH level, increased the Na+-K+-ATPase and Ca2+-Mg2+-ATPase activities of liver mitochondria, and decreased hepatic iNOS activity and NO level of liver in mice with acute liver injury. CONCLUSION: The different solvent fractions of Boschniakia rossica have protective effects on acute liver injury induced by APAP in mice, probably via anti-oxidative and anti-inflammatory activities.
4.An analysis of projects in radiation oncology funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China from 2006 to 2015

Objective To analyze the application and funding for projects in radiation oncology from National Natural Science Foundation of China ( NNSFC ) from 2006 to 2015. Methods To collect the funding information in radiation oncology from NNSFC from 2006 to 2015, a computerized search was performed in the ISIS system using a subject code of H1610 and a keyword of radiation oncology. Analyses were performed in distribution of research fields, the geographical distribution of applicants, and the properties of institutes/universities the applicants were affiliated with. Results In the last decade, a total of 435 projects in the field of radiation oncology were funded with 180 million yuan. Most projects were funded by general, youth, and regional foundation, which covered the highest proportion of NNSFC. For a single project, the amounts of funding from general, youth, and regional foundations were 530, 220, and 400 thousand yuan, respectively. The institutes/universities the NNSFC?funded projects were affiliated with were located quite close to each other. The top 10 institutes/universities in terms of the number of NNSFC?funded projects covered 53% of projects. In all projects, 88% studied basic science, which covered many hot topics in oncology including biological effects of radiotherapy, microenvironment, and stem cells. A small number ( 12%) of projects focused on physics. Top 3 cancers in terms of the number of projects and the amount of funding were lung cancer, nasopharyngeal carcinoma, and esophagus cancer. Conclusions In the last decade, the field of radiation oncology has stable increases in the number of NNSFC?funded projects and the amount of funding. The NNSFC?funded research teams are unevenly distributed, most of which are located in East China. The most popular topic in basic science studies is about biological effects of radiotherapy.
5.Clinical Study on the Real-time Analgesic Effect of Acupuncture at Sanyinjiao (SP6)Versus Multiple Points for Primary Dysmenorrhea

ObjectiveTo compare the real-time analgesic effects between two different groups of acupoints in treating primary dysmenorrhea, for providing objective evidences for optimizing the treatment protocol for primary dysmenorrhea.MethodSixty eligible patients with primary dysmenorrhea were randomized into 3 groups: group A received acupuncture at Sanyinjiao (SP6), group B received acupuncture at Sanyinjiao and Guanyuan (CV4), and group C as a blank control group, 20 cases in each group. Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) was observed prior to the acupuncture treatment, after the insertion of the needles, and after removal of the needles in the three groups.ResultThe VAS scores changed significantly in group A and B after intervention (P<0.05); there was no significant difference in comparing the VAS score between group A and B after intervention (P>0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture at Sanyinjiao alone and acupuncture at Sanyinjiao and Guanyuan both can produce analgesic effect at the attackof primary dysmenorrhea. However, for optimizing the treatment protocol, selecting Sanyinjiao alone will be enough.
6.Structure and level of the stress of nursing students in clinic practice

Objective To describe the structure and the level of the stress of nursing students in clinic practice,and supply reference for reform of clinical teaching method.Methods Totally 100 undergraduate nursing students in clinic practice,who would graduate from nursing school and begin to work in 2013,were interviewed and investigated.Results The main stress sources were divided into five aspects:recognition,clinical nursing ability,career development,field response and exhaustion of body and mind.Conclusions The structure and level of the stress of nursing students changed a lot.Some new appropriate reform should be introduced into clinic education,in order to help nursing students to complete psychological change and role adaptation.

8.lmpact of combined surgery on the MUC5 AC levels in patients with glaucoma and cataract

Abstract?AlM:To investigate the effects of the MUC5AC levels and ocular function of the patients with glaucoma and cataract with combined surgery.? METHODS: Twenty - eight patients treated with glaucoma and cataract combined surgery were chosen as the observation group from December 2011 to June 2014 in our hospital, and other 28 cases of glaucoma and cataract did not undergo surgical treatment were selected as the control group, 30 healthy subjects were as healthy control group. the MUC5AC level and ocular surface score of the three subjects before surgery 1d, after 3 and 6mo were compared.?RESULTS: The NUC5AC of the two groups of patients was significantly lower than that of the healthy control group before surgery (P<0. 05), the ocular function score was significantly higher than the healthy control group ( P<0. 05). After 1mo, the MUC5AC of the observation group were significantly lower than that of before surgery ( P<0. 05), after 3mo MUC5AC content gradually increased to preoperative levels, after 6mo the MUC5AC were significantly higher than before surgery (P<0. 05). After 1mo, ocular function scores were significantly higher than the preoperative ( P< 0. 05 ), while after 3mo, ocular function scores decreased after 6mo of ocular surface function scores were significantly lower than the preoperative (P<0. 05). While the control group after 6mo, with the passage of time, the MUC5AC content gradually reduce, ocular function score increased gradually. ?CONCLUSlON:To treat the patients with glaucoma and cataract with combined surgery, the level of MUC5AC can temporary decrease. Ocular function score can temporary increase in, but after 3mo, it can be gradually improved.
9.Analyiss of lymph nodes metastasis in papillary thyroid carcinoma and its surgical approaches

Objective To investigate the characteristics of lymph nodes metastasis in papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) and to discuss surgical approach.Methods All patients underwent total thyroidectomy,central lymph nodes and lateral lymph nodes dissection in Department of Thyroid Surgery,the First Hospital of the Jilin University,from Dec.2011 to Dec.2012.Results With the increase of the number of positive central lymph nodes,lateral cervical lymph node metastasis rate increased as well and accompanied multi region metastasis trend.In 102 cases of lateral positive cervical lymph node patients,55 cases were in level Ⅱ,accounting for 53.92%,62 cases were in level Ⅲ,accounting for 60.78%,76 cases were in level Ⅳ,accounting for 74.51%,and 17 cases were in level V,accounting for 16.67%.In lateral lymph nodes metastasis,we found level Ⅳ was the most vulnerable area,followed by level Ⅲ,level Ⅱ and level Ⅴ.Conclusions Prophylactic central lymph node dissection should be performed in PTC patients.Patients with central lymph node metastasis especially with the number of positive lymph nodes > 3 should be performed ipsilateral level Ⅱ-Ⅴ lymph node dissection.
10.Value of nasogastric decompression tube in patients with gastric cancer.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the effect of nasogastric decompression tube after gastric cancer operation on the postoperative recovery.
METHODSA total of 174 patients with gastric cancer were prospectively enrolled from December 2009 to March 2011 and randomly divided into non-nasogastric tube control group(n=88) and nasogastric tube group(n=86). Postoperative symptoms, complications, recovery time, and quality of life during hospital stay were compared between the two groups.
RESULTSThe incidences of nausea(14.8% vs. 47.7%, P<0.01), sore throat(6.8% vs. 38.4%, P<0.01), bucking and foreign body sensation(3.4% vs. 20.9%, P<0.01), expectoration obstruction(36.4% vs. 55.8%, P<0.05) were significantly lower in nasogastric tube group than those in the control group. The intervals to ambulation and flatus were(1.46±0.58) d and(3.11±0.77) d in the non-nasogastric tube group, significantly shorter those in nasogastric tube group[(1.68±0.61) d and(3.75±1.03) d]. There was no anastomotic leak or bowel obstruction. The difference in bleeding was not statistically significant[3.4%(3/88) vs. 5.8%(5/86), P>0.05] between the two groups. The quality of life differed between the two groups(mean score, 3.36 vs. 2.78, P<0.01).
CONCLUSIONEarly removal of nasogastric decompression tube is safe and reasonable and can improve the quality of life during hospital stay.
