2.Clinical Observation of Minocycline in the Treatment of Moderate and Severe Chronic Periodontitis Com-plicated with Type 2 Diabetes
China Pharmacy 2017;28(23):3254-3257
OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effects of minocycline on clinical indexes, inflammatory factors and blood glucose of patients with moderate and severe chronic periodontitis complicated with type 2 diabetes(T2DM). METHODS:A total of 125 patients with moderate and severe chronic periodontitis complicated with T2DM selected from our hospital during Feb. 2013-Aug. 2015 were divided into control group(63 cases)and observation group(62 cases)according to random number table. Both groups were periodental non-surgical treatment as scaling and root planning. Control group was given iodine glycerin to fill periodontal pockets after surgery,2-4 times/d. Observation group was given Minocycline hydrochloride ointment, once a week, after surgery. Both groups were treated for 4 weeks. The levels of clinical indexes [probing depth, clinical attachment level(CAL),probing bleeding rate],serum inflammatory factors(CRP,TNF-α)and blood glucose(fasting blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin) were observed in 2 groups before treatment,3 months after treatment, and the occurrence of ADR was recorded. RESULTS:Be-fore treatment, there was no statistical significance in clinical indexes, serum inflammatory factors and blood glucose levels be-tween 2 groups(P>0.05). Three months after treatment, probing depth, probing bleeding rate and serum inflammatory factor lev-els of 2 groups were decreased significantly, and the observation group was significantly lower than the control group, with statisti-cal significance(P<0.05). Compared to before treatment,CAL of 2 groups were increased, without statistical significance before and after treatment or between 2 groups(P>0.05). The levels of fasting blood glucose in 2 groups were decreased, with statistical significance(P<0.05),but no statistical significance between 2 groups(P>0.05). Compared to before treatment, the level of glycosylated hemoglobin in control group was decreased, without statistical significance(P>0.05);the level of glycosylated hemo-globin in observation group was decreased significantly, and the observation group was significantly lower than the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05). There was no statistical significance in the incidence of ADR between observation group (3.23%) and control group (0)(P>0.05). CONCLUSIONS:For moderate and severe chronic periodontitis complicated with T2DM,minocycline effectively improves clinical indexes of periodontitis, reduces serum inflammatory factors and blood glucose with good safety.
3.Epigenetic regulation in spermatogenesis.
National Journal of Andrology 2014;20(5):387-391
Spermatogenesis is a process consisting of spermatogonial proliferation, spermatocytic meiosis, and spermiogenesis, and is also considered to be a process in which heterochromatins gradually aggregate and finally reach a highly condensed formation in the sperm head. Recent studies show that epigenetic regulation plays a key role in spermatogenesis. This review discusses the mechanisms of epigenetic regulation in spermatogenesis in three aspects, DNA methylation, histone modification, and noncoding RNAs. These factors are essential for spermatogenesis, fertilization, and embryogenesis by mutual regulation as well as by gene expression regulation, transposon activation, sex chromosome inactivation, and genome imprinting.

4.Comparison of mineral trioxide aggregate and Vitapex paste in the treatment of permanent teeth apexification
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2009;13(47):9381-9384
BACKGROUND: Vitapex is an injectable root canal filling material. It possesses effects of antibiosis, analgesia, as well as promotes formation of alveolar bone, dentin and cementum, which had been widely used in apexification. However, it also has weakness of long induction time and need reduplicated subsequent visit.OBJECTIVE: To explore the therapeutic effect of mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) and Vitapex paste on apexification.DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: The contrast observation experiment was performed at the Department of Stomatology,Shenyang Children's Hospital from February 2006 to November 2008.PARTICIPANTS: A total of 42 patients with 49 teeth were included in this study, including 28 anterior maxilla and 21 premolars. The X-ray film showed that the root tip of teeth was immature.METHODS: The teeth were randomly divided into the experimental group (n=25) and control group (n=24), which was apexificated by MTA and Vitapex paste, respectively.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The effective rate of two groups was compared at months 3, 6 and 12 after operation.RESULTS: All teeth were included in the final analysis. The effective rate of experimental group was greater than the control group at 3 months after operation, and the difference had significant (P < 0.05), while, the effective rate was similar in two groups at 6 and 12 months after operation (P > 0.05).CONCLUSION: Both MTA and Vitapex paste are ideal filling materials in apexfication. Nevertheless, MTA may be a substitute in apexfication for its short therapy duration and precisely therapeutic effect.
5.Influencing factors of choosing community health centers among Shanghai urban residents
Chinese Journal of General Practitioners 2012;11(9):687-688
Random clustering was conducted among a total of 1068 residents aged 18 years or older at a certain Shanghai community. And they completed a questionnaire survey.Logistic data processing and model building were performed. The respondents were willing to go to a community health center for the following reasons:close proximity (88.4%),excellent service attitudes (40.4%) and low drug prices (37.8%).No statistically significant differences existed in terms of first choices of community health service, occupation, monthly income and-walking distance (P > 0.05).However,statistically significant differences existed in education level, age and chronic diseases (P < 0.05).

International Journal of Surgery 2015;42(12):851-855
Ki-67 is a common proliferation marker, especially used to reflect the proliferation activity of malignancy cells.Recently this marker has been widely studied among early breast cancer patients,However,to date, whether include Ki67 in the list of required routine biological markers there is still a hot argument. This review mainly explores and summarizes the prognostic and predictive role of this marker in breast cancer, the clinical value of the combination of Ki-67 and other makers, and the problems lie in the application of Ki-67 in clinical practice.
7.Research development of prophylactic central lymph node dissection for papillary thyroid cancer
International Journal of Surgery 2015;42(2):126-129
Papillary thyroid cancer (PTC) is the most common malignant neoplasm originating from the thyroid gland and has an excellent prognosis. But cervical lymph node metastases are common and the most common sites of metastases are the central lymph nodes of the neck (level Ⅵ).While therapeutic central lymph node dissection for involved lymph nodes is needed in our nation and others, the controversial topic is whether routine prophylactic central lymph node dissection in patients without evidence of lymph node metastasis should be performed in patients with PTC.The author reviewed the research development of prophylactic central lymph node dissection for papillary thyroid cancer in the article.
