Objective To investigate the expression of netrin-1 in placenta from patients with pre- eclampsia and the relation to placental angiogenesis.Methods Twenty patients with pre-eclampsia(12 mild cases and 8 severe cases)and 20 normal late pregnant women were investigated.The expression of netrin-1 mRNA and protein was determined with RT-PCR and Western blotting respectively.The placenta vascular density was examined by immunohistochemical F8 staining.Results (1)The values of netrin-1 mRNA in normal group and pre-eclampsia groups were 0.51?0.08 and 0.41?0.06;The values of netrin- 1 protein in normal group and pre-eclampsia groups were 26.4?1.8 and 20.5?1.3(P

Objective To evaluate the using and results of computer-aided detection for full-field digital mammography in Chinese women. Methods 934 individuals more than 40 years old from a specific unit in Shenyang city were screened by full-field digital mammography ( Senographe 2000D, GE) . The examination images were diagnosed firstly by the experienced radiologists and then were analyzed by the computer-aided detection system ( R2' Image Checker ) , respectively. The results from these two assays were compared. Results The prompts were generated in 799 out of 1734 normal images, false-positive rate of computer-aided detection ( CAD) was 46. 1 % in the cases with normal breast image. The correct prompts rate was 70. 5 % in the cases with breast mass, 75. 0 % in the cases with breast microcalcification and 100. 0 % in the cases with breast cancer. Conclusion Although the CAD system has showed clinical values in practice, there are still some false-positive and false-negative results.

Objective To discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the mammography and ultrasound examination for breast cancer diagnosis.Methods Totally 84 breast cancer patients enrolled in our study.All of the patients underwent mammography before surgery,and 69 of them received both mammography and ultrasound examination.The data were studied retrospectively.Results 84 foci were found totally on mammography and were all diagnosed above ACR BIRAD grade 4 by X-ray.Two of the 13 cases smaller than 2 cm in diameter were diagnosed as grade 3 by ultrasound.Eleven cases with microcalcification were diagnosed as grade 2（1case）and 3（1case）by ultrasound.Only 1 of the 6 cases shown as distortion was diagnosed as 5 by ultrasound.Conclusion X-ray has the superiority to ultrasound for distortion and microcalcification.For the mass smaller than 2 cm in diameter,both of X-ray and ultrasound may underestimate.

While the SIRT1 formation is paid more and more attention in age-related cataract. Now, we briefly overviewed the research progress on the role of SIRT1 in age-related cataract.

From the N-terminal amino acid sequence of the Aspergillus niger F044 lipase,a potential homologous gene A84689 to the anl(the gene encoding the Aspergillus niger lipase)was found by means of bioinformatics.Based on the nucleotide sequence of the A84689,primers were designed to amplify anl.Nucleotide sequencing of the genomic anl gene revealed an open reading frame of 1 044 nucleotides,containing three introns(54,45 and 51 nucleotides).The deduced amino acid sequence of the anl gene corresponds to 297 amino acid residues including a signal sequence of 27 amino acid residues.The cloned cDNA coding for mature Anl(the protein of the Aspergillus niger lipase)was overexpressed in Escherichia coli BL21(De3),and the recombinant Anl was purified.The denatured recombinant Anl by 8mol/L urea was refolded in vitro by dilution and DEAE Sepharose Fast Flow chromatography.

Objective To study the biological activities of Synechococcus sp.PCC7942 with trans-mutated hCu,Zn-SOD-gene.Methods Synechococcus sp.PCC7942 with trans-mutated hCu,Zn-SOD were administered orally for 20d to mice,then the activities of glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px),catalase(CAT),superoxide dismutase(SOD) and the content of malondialdehyde(MDA) were determined.Results The activities of GSHPx in serum and the activities of CAT in blood increased obviously;the activity of SOD in serum and liver increased markedly;the content of MDA in serum and liver decreased obviously.Conclusion Synechococcus sp.PCC7942 with trans-mutated hCu,Zn-SOD-gene had obvious antioxidant effect in vivo.

Neural stem cells in brains have capacities of proliferation and differentiation, which is very critical to rebuild the cerebral cortex functions. Therefore, it is of great importance to find key targets and network pathways that regulate the proliferation of neural stem cells, which is also a pressing problem in the medical circle. With the Notch pathway as the core of the network, this paper summarized the advance of the bimolecular network system composed of Wnt, Shh, EGFR, cytokines and Notch signal, and analyzed such key nodes as Notch receptor, CBF1, NICD, Hesl, which may become potential targets of new-type drugs in the future. With the multi-component, multi-target, multi-lever characteristics, traditional Chinese medicines have many common grounds with the network pharmacology. The active component groups or active ingredients in traditional Chinese medicines are one of the material bases for showing their network pharmacological effect, which is worth exploring. This paper aims to provide a new strategy for the treatment of neurodegenerative disease and nerve injury with traditional Chinese medicines.

Objective To evaluate the value of DWI in assessing the biological characteristics of breast invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC).Methods Eighty-seven IDC lesions confirmed by postoperative pathology were involved in this retrospective study.The ADC values of IDC were compared among different lymph node status,grades,and molecular subtype.The correlations of ADC value and lymph node status,grades,and molecular subtype were evaluated.Results The ADC value of IDC with positive lymph node was lower than that with negative lymph node (P=0.035),and the ADC value of the high grade IDC was lower than those of medium grade IDC and low grade IDC (P=0.021,0.002).There was no significant difference of ADC value between different molecular subtypes.There was low negative correlation of ADC value with grades (r.s =-0.357,P 0.001) and week negative correlation of ADC value lymph node status and nolecular subtype (rs =-0.227,P=0.034;rs-0.093,P＜0.001).Conclusion DWI can provide useful information in evaluating the biological characteristics of IDC.

This study aimed to observe changes in the hydrogen sulfide (H2S) system in the blood and liver tissue of rats with hepatic cirrhosis at different stages by studying the effect of H2S on the course of hyperdynamic circulation in rats with hepatic cirrhosis.H2S concentration in the blood from the portal vein and inferior vena cava of hepatic cirrhosis rat model induced with carbon tetrachloride was detected on the 15th,30th,and 52nd day.The expression of cystathionine β-synthase (CBS) and cystathionine γ-lyase (CSE) protein,and CBS and CSE mRNA in the liver was detected by immunohistochemistry and reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR),respectively.The results indicated that H2S concentration in the blood from the portal vein and inferior vena cava of rats with hepatic cirrhosis was significantly lower than that in the control group.H2S was gradually decreased with the development of the disease and significantly lower in the blood from portal vein than in the blood of inferior vena cava at the mid-stage and the late stage groups.The expression levels of CBS and CSE protein,and CBS and CSE mRNA in the livers with hepatic cirrhosis at different stages were all higher than those in the control group,and the expression gradually increased with the development of the disease.The expression of CBS was lower than CSE in the same stages.The results indicated that the CSE mRNA was expressed predominantly in the cirrhosis groups as compared with CBS rnRNA.Among experimental rats,the H2S system has an important effect on the occurrence and development of hyperdynamic circulation in rats with hepatic cirrhosis.This finding adds to the literature by demonstrating that H2S protects vascular remodelling in the liver,and that CSE is indispensable in this process.
