China Pharmacy 2017;28(23):3254-3257
OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effects of minocycline on clinical indexes, inflammatory factors and blood glucose of patients with moderate and severe chronic periodontitis complicated with type 2 diabetes(T2DM). METHODS:A total of 125 patients with moderate and severe chronic periodontitis complicated with T2DM selected from our hospital during Feb. 2013-Aug. 2015 were divided into control group(63 cases)and observation group(62 cases)according to random number table. Both groups were periodental non-surgical treatment as scaling and root planning. Control group was given iodine glycerin to fill periodontal pockets after surgery,2-4 times/d. Observation group was given Minocycline hydrochloride ointment, once a week, after surgery. Both groups were treated for 4 weeks. The levels of clinical indexes [probing depth, clinical attachment level(CAL),probing bleeding rate],serum inflammatory factors(CRP,TNF-α)and blood glucose(fasting blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin) were observed in 2 groups before treatment,3 months after treatment, and the occurrence of ADR was recorded. RESULTS:Be-fore treatment, there was no statistical significance in clinical indexes, serum inflammatory factors and blood glucose levels be-tween 2 groups(P>0.05). Three months after treatment, probing depth, probing bleeding rate and serum inflammatory factor lev-els of 2 groups were decreased significantly, and the observation group was significantly lower than the control group, with statisti-cal significance(P<0.05). Compared to before treatment,CAL of 2 groups were increased, without statistical significance before and after treatment or between 2 groups(P>0.05). The levels of fasting blood glucose in 2 groups were decreased, with statistical significance(P<0.05),but no statistical significance between 2 groups(P>0.05). Compared to before treatment, the level of glycosylated hemoglobin in control group was decreased, without statistical significance(P>0.05);the level of glycosylated hemo-globin in observation group was decreased significantly, and the observation group was significantly lower than the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05). There was no statistical significance in the incidence of ADR between observation group (3.23%) and control group (0)(P>0.05). CONCLUSIONS:For moderate and severe chronic periodontitis complicated with T2DM,minocycline effectively improves clinical indexes of periodontitis, reduces serum inflammatory factors and blood glucose with good safety.

Epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinases inhibitor (EGFR-TKI) has impressive clinical efficacy in EGFR-mutant non-small cell lung cancer. However, there are still some patients with primary resistance to TKI.And most patients who initially respond to treatment eventually develop resistance to these drugs, which the main molecular mechanisms are T790M and MET amplification. The new targeted therapies and combination drugs to overcome drug resistance is the subject of clinical research.

Journal of Interventional Radiology 2014;(7):597-600
Objective To explore the reasons of biliary restenosis after interventional treatment for malignant obstructive jaundice caused by hepatic hilar cholangiocarcinoma and to discuss its management. Methods During the period from June 2010 to Sep. 2013 at authors’ hospital, a total of 36 patients with high biliary obstruction caused by Bismuth Ⅱ - Ⅳ type of hepatic hilar cholangiocarcinoma received percutaneous transhepatic cholangial stenting (PTCS), and as the patients developed biliary restenosis after PTCS percutaneous transhepatic cholangial drainage (PTCD) had to be carried out. All the patients had complete data. Serum total bilirubin, direct bilirubin, glutamyltranspetidase and alkaline phosphatase levels were determined on the operation day and at five days after PTCS and PTCD. The short - term remission of malignant obstructive jaundice produced by PTCS and PTCD were assessed. The causes of biliary restenosis were analyzed by comparing the CT and/or MRI images as well as the cholangiography and drainage test results which were performed at the first and second admission to hospital. Results The interval time from operation to restenosis was 31 - 468 days, with an average of 132.8 days. The effective rates of PTCS and PTCD for relieving jaundice were 77.8% and 75.0% respectively. The main causes of restenosis included the formation of biliary sludge, acute cholangitis and tumor growth. Conclusion PTCS is an effective means to relieve the malignant obstructive jaundice caused by hepatic hilar cholangiocarcinoma, however, the incidence of biliary restenosis after PTCS is higher, which may be mainly due to the tumor growth. Nevertheless, subsequent PTCD can effectively improve the liver function, control biliary infection, remit biliary obstruction and relieve the clinical symptoms.

15 mm) should be used in patients over the age of 4 and later reoperation might be avoided. For D-TGA without long segment of LVOTO, we can choose arterial switch plus pulmonary valvotomy or Konno procedure to relief the LVOTO. To prevent postoperative functional mitral regurgitation, in C-TGA-VSD-PS patients the best surgical procedure is double switch operation.

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2008;12(26):5185-5188
BACKGROUND: There are two commonly used techniques of primary orbital implant placement, one is using sclera to cover hydroxyapatite prosthesis after evisceration and the other is using sclera to wrap around the hydroxyapatite prosthesisafter enucleation, which one is more efficient and safer.OB.IECTIVE: To compare the clinical safety of the two kinds of surgery for placing hydroxyapatite prosthesis in the orbit.DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: A retrospective case analysis was performed.between June 2000 and June 2005 at Xiangya Hospital, Central South University, Changsha, Hunan Province, ChinaPARTICIPANTS: Fifty eyes of 50 cases who were admitted between June 2000 and March 2003 to accept enucleation implants, including 39 cases with atrophic eyeball, 6 cases with anterior scleral staphyloma, 1 case with absolute glaucoma, 4cases with eyeball rupture. Forty-nine eyes of 49 cases who were admitted between April 2003 and June 2005 to accept evisceration implants, including 36 cases with atrophic eyeball, 8 cases with anterior scleral staphyloma, I case with absolute glaucoma, 4 cases with eyeball rupture. All the operations performed by the same surgeon.METHODS: In enucleation implant group, autologous sclera-wrapped hydroxyapatite orbital implant was placed into the muscle cone after enucleation. In evisceration implant group, the bared hydroxyapatite orbital implant was placed into muscle cone after evisceration, and was covered by autologous sclera in anterior.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Appearance improvements and complications of patients after orbital implant placement. RESULTS: There was no significant difference between the two groups in appearance improvement. In enucleation implant group, 7 patients experienced conjunctival dehiscence and 5 patients experienced orbital implant exposure. In evisceration implant group, no conjunctival dehiscence and orbital implant exposure occurred. There were significant differences between the two groups in conjunctival dehiscence ( x2 =7.380, P < 0.01) and orbital implant exposure( x2 =5.160, P < 0.01 ).CONCLUSION: Evisceration with sclera-covered orbital implant is more simple, safe, convenient and effective than enucleation with sclera-wrapped orbital implant.
