1.Effect of allopurinol on left ventricular remodeling and heart function in rats with myocardial infarction
Journal of Chongqing Medical University 2003;0(06):-
Objective:To explore the effect of xanthine oxidase inhibitor allopurinol on left ventricular remodeling and function in rats with myocardial infarction(MI).Methods:MI models were produced by ligation of anterior descending coronary artery. The survivals were randomly divided into 3 groups:sham operation group,MI group and allopurinol group[50mg/(kg?d),n=15]. After 28 days, the parameters of echocardiogram and hemodynamics were investigated. The infarct size,LV weight index were detected, too. In addition, the activities of xanthine oxidase(XO) and ?O2-,?OH-scavenging were examined;the expression of XO was detected by Western blot. Results:Compared with sham group, the LV weight index and expression of XO were increased;the activity of XO was boosted but the heart function and activities of ?O2-,?OH-scavenging were decreased(P
3.Biological evaluation of recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein-2 artificial bone in lumbar intertransverse process fusion
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2011;18(1):1-3
Objective To evaluate rhBMP-2/20%β-TCP/PDLLA complex biological properties. Methods Preparation of casting salting was carried out using three-dimensional porous 20% rhBMP-2/β-TCP/PDLLA. 24 4-month-old healthy male New Zealand rabbits were randomly divided into A,B groups of 12,according to the method described in Boden production L4,5 intertransverse process fusion model. A group was embedding rhBMP-2/20%β-TCP/PDLLA complex, and B group was implanted autogenous iliac bone block. Animals were killed according to postoperative time(3 weeks,6 weeks, 12 weeks) ,for gross observation, X-ray observation of the formation of new bone, artificial bone degradation, and early histological manifestations. Results Composite artificial bone and autologous iliac bone graft were able to achieve good spinal fusion, artificial bone graft where there is no inflammatory response, but also in new bone formation, while reshaping the gradual degradation of carrier material. Conclusions 20%β-TCP/PDLLA showed good biocompatibility. Its structure and micro-environment created by its degradation were conducive to play a role for the rhBMP-2. β-TCP/PDLLA had strong activity in inducing bone and good bone fusion ability, and it was a promising bone graft substitutes, which fusion power was stronger than that in autologous iliac bone graft.
4.Expression of p21-activated kinase 1 protein in pancreatic cancer and its significance
Cancer Research and Clinic 2012;24(4):250-251
Objective To investigate the role of PAK1 in the development of pancreatic cancer. Methods 33 cases of pancreatic cancer in Renmin Hospital of XianTao were selected in this study. 33cases of pericancerous normal tissues were collected as control group.Immunohistochemical staining were performed to detect the expression of PAK1 in 33 cases of pancreatic cancer and pericancerous normal specimens. Results By Immunohistochemical staining PAK1 were mainly expressed in the cytoplasm. The positive rate of PAK1 expression in pancreatic cancer were 69.7 %(23 / 33),which was significantly higher than that of control group[27.3 %(9 / 33),x2=11.89,P =0.001].In addition, overexpression of PAK1 was more frequently in Ⅲ+Ⅳ stage pancreatic cancer tissue[93.3 %(14/15)],compared with Ⅰ + Ⅱ stage [50.0 %( 9 / 18 ),x2=5.367,P=0.021]. Conclusion The PAK1 protein may be associated with the occurrence and development of pancreatic cancer.
9.Moxibustion in the Wanan Fang and its clinical applications.
Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2015;35(9):964-967
A summary and review on the Japanese ancient medical literature Wanan Fang is performed. Through the analysis and textual research on the Wanan Fang, it is found moxibustion is highly valued in this book, most of which is derived from the Chinese ancient medical literature before Yuan Dynasty, thus preserving valuable documents regarding moxibustion in the Chinese medical literature. The moxibustion indications recorded in the Wanan Fang are extensive, including disorders of internal medicine, external medicine and pediatrics; the moxibustion contraindications and post-moxibustion sore are also involved in the book. In addition, this book is characterized with more use of moxibustion and less use of acupuncture, and the integrated treatment of moxibustion and medicine is frequently described. Some of the moxibustion indications and approaches recorded in this book are still in accord with the modern clinical practice of TCM, which are worthy of further researching.
