China Pharmacy 2015;(24):3403-3405,3406
OBJECTIVE:To analyze the content of water-soluble proteins in Euryale ferox from different regions. METHODS:The water-soluble proteins in E. ferox were extracted by cryogenic grinding. With the reference of bovine albumin,Coomassie bril-liant blue G-250 was used for coloration, visible spectrophotometry was conducted to determine the content of water-soluble pro-teins in E. ferox from different regions and clustering analysis was used to analyze the results. RESULTS:The linear range of bo-vine albumin was 0.005 01-0.150 3 mg/ml(r=0.999 2)with the average recovery of 98.95%(RSD=1.76%,n=6).RSDs of preci-sion,stability and reproducibility tests were no more than 2.04%. The average value of content of water-soluble proteins in samples was 0.457 7 mg/g. Cluster analysis showed that the content of water-soluble proteins in E. ferox from Yangtze River basin was high-er,followed by the southward and the northward was the least. CONCLUSIONS:The method is simple, reliable and reproducible, and suitable for the content determination of water-soluble proteins in E. ferox.

Objective To authenticate Euryales semen collected from seventeen regions by NIR fingerprint spectra and to establish a rapid analysis method. Methods Spectra were collected by VARIAN CARY5000 ultraviolet visible near infrared spectrophotometer, with correlation and origin clustering method for analysis by using Origin 7. 5 and SPSS 18. 0 software. Results The correlation of peaks for Euryales semen from 17 localities were significant, while the regions were distinguished clearly. Conclusion It is indicated that the method is rapid, lossless, and it can be applied to authenticate Euryales from different regions, which provides reference to rapid inspection of Chinese medicines.

K. There was no significant difference in the yield among the treatments of N+K, CK, P, N+P, and N, but the results of these five treatments were significantly higher than that of P+K and K. In addition, cichoric acid content did not considerably changed after treatment of various fertilizer combinations. For the second harvest date the yield of N, N+K, P, and N+P were 47.7%, 35.4%, 33.8%, and 12.3% higher respectively than that of CK, the yield of N+P+K, P+K, and K were 7.7%, 10.8%, and 28.5% lower respectively than that of CK. There was significant difference in the yield between the treatment of N and CK, the yield of K was significantly lower than that of CK. Conclusion The results indicate that cichoric acid content is not significantly affected by the treatment of various fertilizer combinations and the yield is strongly influenced by N fertilizer, weakly by P fertilizer, on the contrary the application of potassium chloride results in a decrease in yield.

Objective To investigate the effect of erythropoietin (EPO) on the expression of integrin-β1 in hippocampus of neonatal rats after hypoxic-ischemic brain damage (HIBD) and to discuss the neuroprotective mechanisms for EPO.Methods Neonatal Sprague-Dawley rats of 7 days old were randomly divided into 3 groups by random number table method (24 cases in each group):sham-operated group,HIBD group and EPO treated group(EPO group),then each group was further divided into 4 subgroups (n=6) based on different time points following the injection of 9 g/L or EPO (6 h,24 h,3 d,7 d).The expressions of integrin-β1 and integrin-β1 gene in hippocampus were determined by Western blot and real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR(RT-qPCR).Results By Western blot method:integrin-β1 had low expression in the hippocampus of the sham-operated group at each time point, which had no significant difference(0.47±0.22,0.45±0.18,0.54±0.24,0.53±0.22,F=.223,P=0.879).The expression of integrin-β1 in HIBD group was increased at first and then decreased, which had a significant difference(0.62±0.16,1.42±0.32,1.13±0.37,0.81±0.21,F=11.809,P=0.000).In the EPO group the expression of integrin-β1 was rising significantly at 24 h and 7 d and showed two peaks (0.64±0.21,1.10±0.37,0.96±0.30,1.19±0.31,F=3.741,P=0.028).Compared with the sham-operated group at corresponding time points, the integrin-β1 protein expression showed significant increase at 24 h and on 3 d in HIBD group and 24 h,3 d,and 7 d in EPO group (all P<0.05).By RT-qPCR:there was no significant difference in the gene expression of integrin-β1 in ippocampus of the sham-operated group at different time points (0.31±0.13,0.33±0.16,0.34±0.15,0.32±0.17,F=0.036,P=0.990).Gene expression of integrin-β1 in HIBD group was increased at first and then decreased and the summit was at 24 h point(0.72±0.35,1.39±0.33,0.95±0.24,0.61±0.25).The difference between each time point was statistically significant (F=8.022,P=0.001).Integrin-β1 gene expression of EPO group showed two peaks at 24 h and on 7 d(0.77±0.30,1.09±0.27,0.90±0.38,1.17±0.36),and there was a significant difference between 6 h group and 7 d group (P<0.05).Compared with the sham-operated group at corresponding time points, the expression of integrin-β1 gene in between HIBD group and EPO group was extremely higher(all P<0.05).Besides,the gene expression of integrin-β1 in EPO group was higher than that in the HIBD group on 7 d with statistically significant difference (P<0.05).Conclusion Erythropoietin can upregulate the expression of integrin-β1 in the recovery phase of HIBD,which may be one of the beneficial effects of EPO for HIBD.

OBJECTIVE To study on control measures of surgical site infection.METHODS By forward-looking survey methodology, surgical patients(including obstetrics) with surgical incision infection were investigated.RESULTS The highest infection rate(2.67%) were found in patients with surgical trauma to the largest, longest operation time, coronary artery bypass grafting. In 11 cases surgical site infections, only 1 case were given antibiotics before anesthesia,10 cases were administrated antibiotics post operation more than 4 days. The correct rate of preoperative and postoperative usage of antibiotics was only 9.09%.The size of surgical trauma, operative time, perioperative usage of antibiotics were related to the infection rate.CONCLUSIONS Target monitoing of the surgical site infection can decrease the infection rate.

Objective To determine the contents of fructose, glucose, sucrose and total saccharide in honeysuckle extracts which were produced by three classical methods, to provide scientific data for producing and controlling of those patent medicines containing honeysuckle extract. Methods Three classical extract methods were used for producing honeysuckle extracts. HPLC-ELSD method was used for determining the contents of fructose, glucose, sucrose, and a spectrophotometric determination method was used for determining the contents of total saccharide. Results The contents of fructose in three honeysuckle extracts were 5.44%, 3.47%, 4.74%, glucose were 4.35%, 2.73%, 4.21%, glucose were 17.41%, 8.47%, 14.47%, and total saccharide were 50.63%, 41.12%, 35.90%, respectively. Conclusion About 36%~51% of total components of honeysuckle extracts were determined except chlorogenic acids, and 19%~27% of components in the extracts were fructose, glucose, sucrose.

Objective The covered tracheal stent in shape of a straight tube or a fork-like tube was placed clinically to treat tracheal stricture and tracheal fistula caused by malignant tumour in order to maintain the normal function respiration and to keep the fistula closed. Methods The stent was made of stainless steel in shape of "Z"covered with membrane partially or entirely. An instrument with tube in three sheathes was used to place the stent in position. Results The tracheal stents were placed successfully in 9 cases at first time and the esophageal stents were placed for 6 cases among them in the meantime.Dyspnea of patiants was remarkably alleviated. The tracheal fistula of them was closed effectivelly.Follow-up for 4~12 monthes all cases demonstrated no adverse effects. Conclusion The application of the covered stent is a safe effective method to treat the tracheal stricture and tracheal fistula.
