Objective To investigate the influence of a catastrophic event to the mental health of servicemen, and to observe the effect of mental intervention and drug treatment for them after experiencing a catastrophic flood attack. Methods 57 servicemen survived a catastrophic flood attack were regarded as the disaster group, and 70 others who were not involved in the flood disaster were regarded as the control group. The service men of the two groups were subjected to investigation with Chinese Military Mental Health Scale(CMMHS),and corresponding mental intervention or medication was given to those who had experienced mental disorders. Results The disaster resulted in different degrees of somatic trauma and various mental disorders including instability of emotion, mental depression, grievance, nervous tension, sensation of fear, sleep disorder and apprehensions. The influential factor scores of CMMHS,including compulsive neurosis, anxiety, depression, fear, psychosis, somatization, interpersonal sensitiveness, and total score were much higher in disaster group than that in control group, and that of norm of Chinese servicemen, while the neurasthenia factor score in disaster group showed no significant difference with that in control group and that of normal Chinese servicemen. The main influential factors to changes in mental health of the servicemen were witness of someone washed away by the flood, and participation in identifying corpses. Conclusion The mental health of servicemen who experienced a catastrophic flood disaster was harmed in various degrees, and medication or mental intervention appeared to be of value.

Objective To investigate the relationship between the Schatzker types and postoperative knee function in tibial plateau fractures .Methods Totally 120 patients with tibial plateau fracture from January 2010 to December 2014 were selected and performed the Schatzker classification according to the X‐ray film ,CT and three dimensional reconstruction .They were divided into 6 groups .The postoperative knee function in each group was followed up and the statistical analysis was conducted .Results The excellent grade distribution of knee function by Kruskal‐Wallis test had statistical difference among 6 groups(P<0 .05) ,in the fur‐ther pairwise comparison ,the significant differences were found between the group 1 and 2 with the group 4 ,5 and 6(P<0 .05) . Conclusion The Schatzker types of tibial plateau fractures is closely correlated with the postoperative knee function .The knee function scores of type Ⅳ ,Ⅴ and Ⅵ are obviously poor .

Journal of Modern Laboratory Medicine 2016;31(5):160-164
TOF-MS has been more and more widely used in clinical and scientific research due to its advantages such as fast and easily operated.Diabetic nephropathy is the most common complications of diabetes. But clinical existing detection meth-ods to some extent have some hysteresis. The applications and developments of TOF-MS coupled with other proteomics technologies provided new ideas and methods for early diagnosis and prognosis of diabetic nephropathy. In this paper, the lat-est research results in nearest years about the application of TOF-MS to diabetic nephropathy will be reviewed.

Objective To investigate the changes of 4 histamine receptors (H1R, H2R, H2R and H4 R)in interstitial cystitis on animal experimental models. Methods Thirty female SD rats (250-300 g) were randomly divided into 2 groups as follows: 20 in experimental group and 10 in control group. The experimental group was filled with protamine sulfate+ potassium chloride to create interstitial cystitis model, the control group was sacrificed directly. At the end of the experiment, the bladders of all these SD rats were studied by the immunohistochemistry staining and the value of their mean absorbance (-A) was calculated by IPP4.5 image analysis software. The SPSS 11.5 was used to analyze the differences between the groups. Results Four kinds of histamine receptors mainly expressed in the bladder epithelium. In the experimental group, the (-A) of H1 R was 0. 054±0.031, the of H2R was 0.032±0.021, the (-A) of H3R was 0.047±0.033 and the (-A) of H4R was 0. 149±0. 191,respectively. In the control group, the A of H1R was 0. 017±0. 011, the (-A) of H2R was 0. 018±0. 015, the (-A) of H3R was 0. 014±0. 011, the (-A) of H4R was 0. 060±0.039, respectively. In contrast, the A of H1 R, H2 R and H3R in experimental group was increased significantly(P<0.05); there was no significant change in (-A) of H4R expression(P>0.05). Conclusions H1, H2 and H3 receptors in rat model interstitial cystitis bladder epithelium have increased and it indicates H1 R, H2R and H3R may be related to interstitial cystitis. H3 R may be a new treatment target of interstitial cystitis.

An HPLC-UV method has been developed for the determination of valibose, miglitol, voglibose and acarbose, the four anti-diabetic drugs. The separation was accomplished successfully by using reversed phase chromatography (Prevail carbohydrate column, 250 mm x 4.6 mm, 5 microm) with a gradient acetonitrile-phosphate buffer solution (pH 8.0) at a wavelength of 210 nm. Furthermore, the method of a high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with ESI-MS in positive ionization mode has been established. These two methods were successfully applied to the assay and qualitative detection of four alpha-glucosidase inhibitors in the potential counterfeit anti-diabetic drugs.

Objective To investigate the affecting mechanism of Jie Yu No.1 Decoction(JY),which was a complex prescription with the function of adjusting spleen and stomach,on the HPA-axis function of depression model rats.Methods60 SD rats were randomly divided into the normal, the model, the Amitriptyline and the JY decoction groups, with 15 each.Isolated-living condition and chronic mild unpredictable stress were applied suceessively to set up DEP rat model.Radiative immunotherapy was used to measure the content of hormone(CRH),somatostatin(SS) and Cortisol(CORT) in the blood plasma. The correlativity was Analyzed between SS,CRH and CORT to preliminary discuss the affecting mechanism of JY on the function of SS adjusting HPA-axis,and to clarify the antidepressant mechanism of the JY.ResultsThe correlation coefficient between SS and CRH was r=-0.5094,P=0.1972,t=1.4501.The result indicated that SS and CRH had the remarkable negatively correlation. The correlation coefficient between SS and CORT was r=0.010,P=0.9613,t=0.0244.The result indicated that SS and CORT had no remarkable correlation.ConclusionThe antidepressant mechanism of JY may be as that SS reduces CRH contents and reaches the adjustment of HPA-axis function in order to play its antidepressant effect.

Objective To understand the correlation between TCM service utilization and health behavior of community residents.MethodsAself-designed questionnaire about TCM service utilization and health behavior status was used to investigate 200 people from 4 communities on random sampling. The items in the questionnaire were evaluated and analyzed to test the correlation of TCM service utilization and health behavior of community residents. Results The two indexes significantly correlated in 0.01 level (bilateral),r=0.674, bilateralP=0.000.Conclusion The correlation between TCM community service utilization and health behavior status is positive. The higher the level of TCM community services utilization is, the higher the index value of health behavior status will be.

METHODS: 360 cases of children pneumonia were randomly divided into two groups. Treatment group were treated with antibiotics and Bifid triple viable enteric-coated capsules in duration of hospital stay(n=180). Control group were treated with antibiotics only (n=180). The incidence and severity of diarrhea in two groups were observed at the 3rd, 5th, 7th of therapy. RESULTS: The incidence of diarrhea at the 3rd, 5th, 7th of therapy in treatment group were 10.00%,16.67% and 13.33%, in control group 36.67%, 43.33% and 50.00%, with statistically significance(P

Objective To assess the prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) levels in tumor mass and peripheral blood of patients with gastric cancer and explore their clinical significance. Methods The PGE2 levels in tumor mass, tumor margins of excision and peripheral blood of 40 patients with gastric cancer were measured by a kit of PGE2 ELISA. Results The PGE2 levels were higher in the tissues of gastric cancer than in tumor margins of excision [(8.225?2.425) vs (1.669?0.287) ng/g, P
