Acupuncture Research 2010;0(03):-
Objective To observe changes of the partial oxygen pressure in the deep tissues along the Large Intestine Meridian (LIM) during acupuncture stimulation,so as to reveal the characteristics of energy metabolism in the tissues along the LIM. Methods Thirty-one healthy volunteer subjects were enlisted in the present study. Partial oxygen pressure (POP) in the tissues (at a depth of about 1.5 cm) of acupoints Binao (LI 14),Shouwuli (LI 13),Shousanli (LI 10),2 non-acupoints [the midpoints between Quchi (LI 11) and LI 14,and between Yangxi (LI 5) and LI 11) of the LIM,and 10 non-meridian points,1.5-2.0 cm lateral and medial to each of the tested points of the LIM was detected before, during and after electroacupuncture (EA) stimulation of Hegu (LI 4) by using a tissue oxygen tension needle-like sensor. Results In normal condition, the POP values in the deep tissues along the LIM were significantly higher than those of the non-meridian control points on its bilateral sides. During and after EA of Hegu (LI 4),the POP levels decreased significantly in the deep tissues along the LIM in comparison with pre-EA (P0.05). Conclusion POP is significantly higher in the deep tissues along the LIM of healthy subjects under normal conditions, which can be downregulated by EA of Hegu (LI 4),suggesting an increase of both the utilization rate of oxygen and energy metabolism after EA.

OBJECTIVE:To explore the establishment of performance indicator system for evaluating national essential drug system in China.METHODS:Reference to the field of health policy performance evaluation research and practice at home and abroad.WHO indicators for evaluating national drug policies, and a qualitative study on the theory and approach of policy evaluation was conducted.RESULTS & CONCLUSION:To establish a China-specific performance evaluation indicator system, policy goals should be specified, and evaluation criterions and policy components should be also defined firstly. An indicator system framework of national essential drug system which based on WHO recommendatory indicators should be proposed accordingly. But detailed indicators should be established based on field research and experts counseling.
4.On defects of drug and its law responsibility
Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2003;0(04):-
Object to define defects of drug accurately and to initially discuss its law responsibility. Method With comparative study and system thinking,we acquired few scientific recognition of drug’s defects. Result & Conclusion Defects of drug are not equal to negative drug reaction. The former one should be an unreasonable and potential risk which induces no expectant therapeutic efficacy to provide. And its law responsibility could be no-fault liability accompanied by state compensation.

Objective To investigate the influencing factors of ankylosing spondylitis(AS)patients’life quality and medical coping styles.Method Two hundred patients visiting at the outpatient department of our hospital took part in the assessment on AS life quality and medical coping styles to look into the living quality of AS patients and its medical coping methods and influencing factors. Results The total score on life quality was(66.82±5.57),among whose dimensions the psychological function was scored the lowest by(10.65±4.05). Pearson correlation analysis showed that the scores on confrontation of coping styles were positively related with the dimension of social function in life quality(r=0.18,r=0.13,P<0.05),the scores on the avoidance of coping style were positively related to the dimension of physiological function in the life quality(r=0.12,r=0.14,P<0.05),the scores on yielding in coping styles was negatively correlated to physiological function of the life quality(r=-0.20,P<0.05).Regression analysis results showed that the AS patients’life quality was impacted by the course of the disease, coping styles and modes for paying medical expenses(P<0.05).Conclusions The AS patients’life quality is low and it is related to their coping style, the course of the disease and modes for paying medical expenses.Medical personnel should implement targeted interventions to guide patients into taking correct medical coping styles according to the specific condition of patients,in order to improve their quality of life.

AIM: To investigate the effects of human umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells ( hUC-MSCs) on the proliferation and migration of osteosarcoma cells ( Saos-2 ) and the underlying molecular mechanism. METHODS:hUC-MSCs were isolated and cultured by tissue explants adherent method. The cell surface markers on hUC-MSCs were identified by flow cytometry. The effects of conditioned medium ( CM) from hUC-MSCs ( hUC-MSCs-CM) , re-combinant human interleukin-6 (rhIL-6) and IL-6 neutralizing antibody on the proliferation of Saos-2 cells were detected by CCK-8 assay and cell counting.IL-6 secretion of hUC-MSCs was assayed by ELISA.RT-PCR was used to assess the tran-scription level of proliferation-related genes proliferating cell nuclear antigen ( PCNA) , cyclin D1 and survivin. The migra-tion potential of hUC-MSCs and Saos-2 cells was measured by Transwell assay.RESULTS:hUC-MSCs migrated to Saos-2 cells.hUC-MSCs-CM contained a high concentration of IL-6, up to (1 835.5 ±134.1) ng/L.hUC-MSCs-CM and rhIL-6 promoted the proliferation and migration of Saos-2 cells.Addition of neutralizing antibody against IL-6 in the hUC-MSCs-CM impaired this proliferation and migration of Saos-2 cells. The mRNA expression of PCNA, cyclin D1 and survivin was up-regulated by hUC-MSCs-CM and rhIL-6, while this effect was dramatically attenuated by treatment with IL-6 neutralizing antibody.CONCLUSION:hUC-MSCs migrate to osteosarcoma cells and promote the proliferation and migration of osteo-sarcoma cells through secreting IL-6 in vitro.

Objective To evaluate DSA and MRI in diagnosing focal nodular hyperplasia(FNH) of the liver. Methods DSA and MRI findings in seven patients with pathologically-proved FNH were retrospectively analyzed.Selective hepatic arteriography with DSA,and both plain and dynamic contrastenhanced MR scans were performed in all patients. The imaging findings were retrospectively evaluated and analyzed. Results On DSA examination, all FNH lesions were hyper-vascular,which were characterized by thickened and tortuous feeding arteries. And the feeding arteries, after entering the lesions, branched off peripherally in a radiation pattern and the lesions were evenly dyed with sharp borders. In venous phase, hepatic vein drainage was demonstrated in 6 cases. On dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI,marked enhancement of the lesions was observed, which lasted until to delayed phase when the lesions still showed hyper-intensity or iso-intensity signals.Scar signal in the lesion's center was seen in three cases, which started to enhance at portal vein phase and maintained to delayed phase. Conclusion On DSA imaging,FNH lesions are characterized by thickened and tortuous feeding arteries that branch off peripherally in a radiation pattern after entering the lesions. And the hepatic vein drainage is also a common finding in venous phase.Dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI can well display the abnormal signal of the central scar of FNH.The combination use of DSA and MRI can effectively improve the diagnostic accuracy for FNH.
